Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Orland Park
My client asked for a hot tea. The waitress said they did not have any. Really? Please buy tea Coopers Hawk. You are a restaurant.
Go if you like wine.
Good mix of different kinds of entrees. All meats, fish and vege’s available.
We love Cooper’s Hawk!!
We had a great experience from the moment we walked in, stated with the wine tasting and ending with dinner it was very enjoyable all the staff was knowledgable and helpful. You are all doing a great job. We will be back soon.
Food was good, we had slow service in the beginning and at the end. Food is a little pricey but average with the area. Coopers Hawk really needs to revamp the menu, same old food choices each time. I think if they changed the menu more often they would get a lot more business. Wine club is worth it. The Orland location this time around was a lot better service wise then the last couple times we’ve been here.
One of my fav places. I love the Soy Ginger Salmon
Outstanding as always. Great food. Love the new decor.
Amazing experience with fantastic service & management!
Excellent wine and food. Loved the John Legend special bottle.
The food, service and ambiance is great!! They also have a temporary throwback menu available that has some of your favourites that are no longer on the menu.
I would not go back to this location. We were celebrating a birthday. The new lighting was not good, felt like we were at a cafeteria. The entree I ordered didn’t seem enough quantity for the cost of the dish. The server brought our food out, then never came back to check on us. I would have ordered another side. The server brought out a complementary birthday treat for birthday girl. We sang. The server left quickly without offering us the dressers menu. When she finally came back to give us the check, I asked for the ferrets menu instead, which she gave to us. Then left for 15 minutes. When she finally came back, the birthday girl had already eaten her treat, opened up cards and gifts and I had already went to restroom. I told the server to forget it, it was too late. So we paid and left. I left hungry and bummed I didn’t have dessert.
It is always cold in the restaurant. The coffee was served cold. They did not bring out bread until we asked. They were out of something that was ordered.
We go here often for our girls lunch and it is always like this.
The Orland Park location has 1.5 points for the month of October. Yet your waitress where NOT made aware this! I love all the perks but no one shares what they are...like two wine samples, friends told me able this. I looked around the restaurant and thought it could have been completely full if only people knew about ALL the great perks you offer.
Great food and drink at a fair price. Staff was outstanding. The restaurant itself was not as attractive as some other Coopershawk’s but was fine. The noise level was a bit high as well
We went with high expectations and left with disappointment. Two of the four people at our table were disappointed with their meals. One person ordered the grouper, which was overpriced for the serving size. It was enough for a decent sized sandwich but not a dinner meal. Our other disappointment was the "throwback" rib eye steak. Again it was small for the price and was tough. It will be some time before we consider going back to the restaurant. Again, overall we were very disappointed.
Tastings went slower than usual. Dinner was good
Thank you for making our birthday “girl” feel amazing!
I had the surf n turf Parmesan crusted
filet mignon with pecan crusted grouper, Mary’s potatoes and mixed vegetables. It was cooked perfect and the filet felt as though it melted in my mouth. I also ordered the wine flights which were perfect as usual. The only thing I can say that didn’t go so well was that my server did not check my wine card for promotions as I had a $25 dollar off coupon on there. But he was able to quickly fix his mistake and refund me the money he had charged to my account. I will definitely be going back!
The renovation of the restaurant is very nice. The throw back menu was interesting. Liz was a phenomenal server. I had requested a table for four close to the check in since my husband walks with a cane. That didn't happen. We were seated in the farthest table from there.
Even thou had put on the reservation we were celebrating a birthday and had a large wrapped present on the table, the waitress never offered a cake or even said "Happy birthday". We never heard of any specials or offered any ordering advice. Complete "DUD" waitress. I thought the bill was very high for what I got. Probably our last trip to Coopers Hawk.
Vegetarian options are minimum, the fries are cooked with meat items.
Steaks were overcooked appetizer was cold. The place smelled like a dirty dish rag. This is a very sad location in comparison to to
Too loud and service too slow
Food was great as usual. Service seemed off, but thinking it was just an off night
Food was excellent. Angelica was a charming server and very helpful in choosing entrees.
Noise level was high.
Entrees were a bit high.
I would give this place a better review except for one thing. I had a party of eight, and one guest received the wrong order. The order was replaced but it took tooo long to come. Our guest was eating by herself while the rest of us watched. She felt very conspicuous and alone. Why the order took so long to replace I do not know but it was unacceptable.
In cold area like an addition area temperature was cold
Service was slow
Server actually served a burner pretzel bread loaf had to ask for a not well done bread
appetizer were late so rushed with food out almost at the same time
It was great
Overall a good experience. I am not pleased with change made to Thai Lettuce Wraps. I did like the cabbage mix that replaced the julienne vegetables. Sauces and chicken was still good. Excellent service.
As I was sitting with my wife for her birthday it was dark and loud. The restaurant was under construction, and it was distracting to look at unfinished drywall and plastic sheeting hanging from the ceiling. In fact it was just a bad sight.
It was very loud in the restaurant.
Service was good and a friendly waitress.
I do not think I will go back.
The lighting was a little bright but other than that the experience was GREAT!
My girlfriend and I came and where promptly seated at the time our reservation but the problem is that within our experience we were seen by our server,Jennifer around 4 times. The last two times she saw us were to focus on the check within 5 minutes of each other. She greeted us coldly and seemed like she rather do anything else then serve us. Within the time of our visit she received around 2 other tables and we could hear the exchange she was having with them. The table next to us was visited 4 times just within 20 minutes and she delivered their food to them herself. She never asked us anything about our visit and one of the first things she asked the other tables was to confirm their special occasion, the table next to us was celebrating a birthday. I had specifically put on my reservation that it was my girlfriend and I’s anniversary. I feel like there was a certain way the server was acting and because of that whenever we need to celebrate anything else we will no longer be going to Cooper’s Hawk and be taking our business somewhere else where the server does not have any prejudices.
WOW was I ever disappointed in my visit today. My short rib grilled cheese was cold, the soup was lukewarm at best. My wife ordered the Maui Shrimp and had to send them back as they were way overcooked. The appearance of the shrimp was dark brown and the shrimp was tough, the rice with the dish was barely warm. I did not allow them to refire the order as we were in a bit of time restraint and had them take it off my bill. The manager on duty did give me a card for a free appetizer on out next visit which will not happen at this location.
The food was very good, and the service was acceptable. I did have to wait quite a while for my cosmo, which my server attributed first to the amount of people and then to the fact that they were waiting for more ice... It was extremely noisy. I find it hard to enjoy an environment where you have to shout to be understood.
Great as usual!
We had a 5pm reservation and were sat right away. After sitting for 5-10 minutes our server came over and said she would be back in a few minutes. After another 5 minutes, we looked around and 2 tables sat after us had drinks, bread and had placed their orders. We decided to leave, we informed the manager who offered for us to stay, but at that point it's uncomfortable. When we left, our server was standing at the wine bar talking to people. We used to love to come here, but the service and restaurant standards seem to be falling.
Twice now I have tried ordering the salmon for dinner and both times have been told they were out of salmon. Dining times were 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., early dinners, so how does a restaurant continually not prepare itself for prime dinner times? Salmon is a regular menu item there, this is extremely poor kitchen management, even if it is a "scratch" kitchen, they should be prepared.
We went for anniversary dinner, no mention. Zero parking due to an event downstairs yet no valet available. You have to park across the street and cross. Food was excellent. Our service was sadly disappointing. Appetizer ordered was out of ingredients, ok we picked a different one. Soup was never brought. Only offered to us after our entrees came out. We ordered white sangria and received red. No biggie. We kept trying to have a good time. Rushed along. We will sadly not be returning. The food was great but overall service was not there.
My group and myself had a ball. The wine tasting was great and the food was even better. Especially the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto.
