Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Orland Park
Food excellent, server Britney attentive and personable
Not a bad experience, but could've been much better. Service was slow from the time we arrived (with a reservation) until receiving our check. Our server was very pleasant, yet inattentive to details and a bit forgetful.
The food was pretty good, but some items were just overdone...not overcooked, just too much preparation (ingredients). One example I can mention is the calamari. I'm a seafood fan and calamari is a fave! This version was battered, deep fried, glazed & served with what I believe was aioli. The combination was a bit to sweet & complicated for my taste. Of course that's just a personal opinion.
I loved the atmosphere and may consider visiting again. Hopefully my next dining experience will be better.
No I wouldn’t recommend this Cooper’s Hawk, the food was old I ordered the Mexican drunken shrimp it was old fried shrimp and I ordered the wedge salad it was missing the toppings, I asked for bread it took until after my meal was served for me to receive it. Also I ordered the Leonard burger for dinner the bread was burned and old and the fries were a mixture of freshly fried and old fries. I will only stop by to pick up wine at this location. I will never eat here again
We both enjoyed our dinner Steak Medallions and Parmesan crusted grouper and Barrel Reserve Wine. Our Service from Fran was exceptional...
My Daughter’s birthday!
Awesome as usual!
Always a great wine and dine experience at Cooper’s Hawk!
I always love going to Cooper’s Hawk!! My service is always good during my wine tasting or eating dinner!! I really like that fact that we can earn rewards and get rewards that we can use yearly . We are rewarded well for our patronizing of sometimes between $15-$25 for birthdays etc!! That’s excellent customer service to me!!
Yummy! Great service and the chef special was excellent!
We went there to celebrate my mom’s 75 th birthday. First time our family was there. Food was excellent. Service was very good. We would go back. Had a very nice time. And yes we would recommend to other family and friends.
We are wine club members and frequent diners. I never stray too far from my usual order but I was tempted by the special - Parmesan Crusted Shrimp Scampi. Glad I did. It may have been the best meal I’ve had there. Hope that becomes amregular menu item!
Overall we had a nice time. What I didn't appreciate regarding my last visit, I requested a booth when I made my reservations. The hostess took us to a table. When I advised her I requested a booth, her reply was we don't have any available. I pointed out an empty booth that would seat four and she advised that's reserved! DUH! I reserved a booth! I should have gotten her name at that point. I went back to the hostess counter and advised them of my request....they seemed very uninterested. This is the 2nd time this situation has happened at this location. Overall the hotnesses are NOT that friendly.
The hostess was not friendly, the food didn't taste great for the price. The wine was good but overall the restaurant is overrated and I wasn't impressed. My sister had to send her food back because it wasn't done.
We met up to celebrate dear friends from our respective children’s Irish dancing days. I’m a wine club member & enjoy trying a new wine each month & sharing with my friends. Always delicious & well prepared entrees, we enjoyed the Barramundi, shrimp scampi & fish & chips!
I like the relaxed atmosphere. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was timely and the waitress was friendly.
John was awesome! Had a great night!
Cooper’s Hawk is one of my favorite restaurants.
The food is great, and the staff always go out of their way to accommodate us.
The waitress was not attentive to the needs of my table. The food for one party members was sent back due to unsatifaction.
I hadn’t been to Coopers Hawk in a long time and met there with my daughters. The food and drinks were excellent we did not have to wait long at to be seated. Our server was awesome! We will definitely be back!
Great food and service as usual
The service from Anthony was very pleasant. Our dinner arrived hot and it was very tasty.
As always, a great meal with great service. Our meals were tasty and the chocolate cake was Devine! Cheers!
Loved our server - everyone enjoyed their meal with wine pairings.
The server helped me with a dish that met all my dietary/allergy restrictions. The restuarant honored my reservation and the food was good.
The food was good, our server was very good. She was very attentive, make bnb sure everything was fine.
Cooper’s Hawk food and wine have always been a favorite. I can’t recall there ever being a time that either one of those things disappointed me or the people I dined with. The service this time was a little slower than usual but not enough to give it a bad review. I will continue to keep it on the top of my list for places to go for a great meal and hope the service will be better the next time.
Besides the snobby from our server, my friends and I enjoy Cooper's Hawk. Great ambiance, food is good. Great wine selection.
We asked for an early reservation to celebrate our tenth anniversary. We were well received and seated immediately. The ambiance was great, the boneless pork chop entree along with the customary sides were prepared exceptionally well. We enjoyed the atmosphere and we were pleasantly surprised to receive the creme brulee dessert as bonus to complete our visit. We will plan on future visits.
It was great! Our waitress, Brea, was fantastic!
Birthday dinner for my mom.
We had a great time. Our waiter was attentive and all around great. The food was excellent as always. Although it was pretty noisy we were able to disregard the noise.
Excellent selection of entrees and great salads. Service is always good and prices are reasonable.
I’ve been to this restaurant a couple times and each time at least one dish in the group doesn’t match the description in the menu. Not sure why this happens but it definitely sours the overall experience.
I would only recommend the wine the food was cold are waiters was great and the manger Matt was great
First lets start with ambiance. The room they sat our party of 7 in was VERY dimly lit. To the point we had to take out cell phones and use the flash light feature just to read and order from the menu. Completely ridiculous.
It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. Our waitress tried her best, but we believe the bar stations and kitchen were overwhelmed. It took 4 times asking just to get bread as she kept letting us know the kitchen was working on it.
Drinks came slowly. Sangria cocktail, 2 flights of wine, strawberry lemon-aid, 2 glasses of pop and water. Both pop's had to be sent back, tasted as if all the fountain drinks were in one glass. The replacements tasted fine.
We ordered 3 cups of crab & lobster bisque soup, 1 creme of asparagus soup, house salad and calamari. All were very good.
The main meals ordered were:
~~Filet Mignon with Mary's potatoes, asked for no onion strings due to gluten free, it came with the onion strings (didn't complain, just picked them off)
~~Short Rib Risotto and Shrimp & Scallop risotto
~~Surf & Turf (filet & crab cakes)
~~Ellie's Chicken Piccata
Although all the above food was very good, all the meals were luke warm like they had been sitting waiting to be delivered to the table. We didn't say anything, we just ate as it took a while to get the main course AND because we did have one issue prior.
An adult that had a glass of pop had a chip of glass in it that he sucked through his straw and luckily found it in his mouth and spit it out. We informed the server who had the manager come to the table. The manager did offer to call paramedics which we refused. We just wanted them to be aware of the situation. The manager said she would comp that adults meal. She did come back to the table as she thought we found more glass but it turns out she had to go to another table because someone else found glass.
Although the food was good, we won't be going back.
It was for me and my wife for our anniversary other than I should have preferred a booth we ended up getting a regular table other than that could not complain the server was excellent food was good I would recommend
This is my fav place to eat and this evening was less than ideal. The service was off, there was a broken piece of glass in my drink, one of my guests got served the wrong dish, they brought us a different tables bill and then brought our bill that was incorrect. I can even get past all that- the most frustrating is that it took OVER 3 hours at the table. Granted it was a table of 8 but this completely interfered with our plans post dinner. The manager did assist at the end but I had to wait to speak with someone. I was to be gracious as everyone has off nights but it will be a while before considering returning.
My first time to Cooper's Hawk. They must be doing something right because this place was jam packed at 5:30pm on a Saturday night! Free valet helps. Their menu has everything you want. Their wines are very good. Service great.
In my experience, you don't usually get all of this in a chain...but thanks for a great dinner CH!
It was excellent always look forward to coming there.
Beautiful environment amazing food amazing people little heavy on the noise level but overall a great place
