Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Orland Park
Great dining experience. Excellent server.
Our party of 6 was there on a Sunday night. The wait for our table was minimal. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Only 3 of us are wine drinkers, and each has their own favorites so wine tasting was not a big issue. The menu is so varied such that making a selection was intimidating. My meal was excellent, as were the other 5 guests. It was a good experience for all. The noise level between 6-7:30 was quite high but not too distracting. My son worked for the company that constructed the building so he was familiar with the layout. Our bill averaged $53, including tip, for our party. I would recommend it to others. I will probably return but go to the New Lenox building as it is much closer.
Wedding dress shopping!
No special treatment. Waitress seemed to have a chip on her shoulder
This was for a birthday celebration and our waitress made sure everyone had a good time, had enough food and drink, and didn’t make us feel bad that we stayed a little bit later. Great food including gluten-free options for those that wanted it, and really great service.
My family and I started wine tasting with excellent service, and were given great suggestions for wines. Our food arrived on time with our very attentive waiter in tow. Our party of six enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
THE RESTAURANT WAS LOUD. ATMOSPHERE WAS HARD TO CONVERSE IN A NORMAL LEVEL. FOOD WAS NT AS GOOD AS BURR RIDGE AND NAPERVILLE LOCATIONS.
I love Cooper's Hawk, but the one in Orland Park can use some improvement on customer service. It was not crowded, but I still had to wait for a table with reservations. The table we sat at was dirty and the waitress looked like she was having a bad day. Our food took about an hour for them to bring it out to us and they had no explanation of why it took so long. The waitress was nowhere to be found most of the time, but magically appeared to bring us the bill.
I enjoyed the wine tasting. The food was tasty and I had a great time. I haven't been to Coopers Hawk in awhile, enjoyable.
It started with the host who set a very unwelcoming tone. The dining room was overly bright and we were seated in a high-traffic area even though there were dozens of tables open. The server was great and attentive. The drunken shrimp was fine. The chopped salad was terrible - little flavor and a huge hunk of lettuce core that never should have made it to the plate. The brussels sprout app was excellent. The Caesar salad was average. They had a nice wine on the specials menu. We had a glass of wine in the bar after and the server there was great.
Anthony, our Server, was really just spectacular. The food was also perfect, but that's pretty much always true at Cooper's Hawk. Orland isn't my favorite location of theirs; I don't love the overall layout -- just feels like a bunch of tables crammed into a room, but I would go back for service like we got last night. Top notch!!
Always pleased with the food choices and preparation/presentation
Pleased with service each time.
Enjoyed an after movie lunch with a friend on an early Friday afternoon. We both had the lobster and crab bisque featuring generous portions of both. I had the lobster and scallop risotto which, again, featured generous portions of both. My friend had a fish dish. We enjoyed our meals, which were accompanied by a glass of equally delicious, and not very expensive, glass of pinot gris. My only negative is the less than generous parking. We spent 15 minutes circling the lot before spots were available and, unfortunately, valet does not start until 4PM. There is nowhere else to park.
The breaded fish sandwich was awful. Almost no fish, lots of breading and huge buns
Not good! The slaw with it was also not good
I've been to Cooper's Hawk many times and have always found the food to be delicious and the service good. This particular visit there were several hiccups, but the manager and our waitress handled it so perfectly, I thought it warranted giving them a shout out.
Our entrees were taking forever - a table that had been seated long after us was almost finished with their meals and we still had not received ours. Before we could even bring it up, the manager came to apologize, and told us our food would soon be out and asked if she could get us anything. We said no, but appreciated her coming by. But then we kept waiting. When our food did come out a short time later, not all of the meals were hot. The manager returned to see how everything was and we and we told her the food was good, but not hot. She apologized and offered to get us new food, but we were hungry and just wanted to eat. She ended up comping all of our drinks and desserts.
The food is always good here, but I really appreciate that they value their customers enough to make things right when there's a screw up. Very impressed and will keep coming back.
Waitress was fantastic! Wine was great, but the food was sub par. Food was not hot when received, and the portions are small for the price.
The reception had a very horrible attitude. The lady In reception in particular made me feel like I was out of place. She had a troubling attitude. I wanted to speak to management, but I ran out of time.
Love the wine! I love have dinner there with friends
Their cheese plate was very disappointing....barely any cheese there
Valerie led us through our tastings... very personable. Howard our server didn’t rush us, and we had a nice dual birthday celebration.
Everything was great from the welcome at host station, our server Howard and the Manager Kyle. We are always happy with the entire team and the food, wine and service are consistently amazing. Keep it up!
Fountaine (not sure if I spelled that right!) was beyond amazing and so accommodating. We’ll be back and hope to be in his section again!
Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Just a very nice, likable person. Cooper’s is always busy. The only issue I have is I made a reservation for 4:45 and didn’t get sat until 4:55. My party was outside trying to find parking. Food is okay and our drinks were good. I will go back. Hell, I got 3 additional bottles waiting for me 😂
Love the layout and the bigger space of this Cooper’s hawk restaurant. Service and the food was also great. Will definitely come to this location more often.
It was busy
The hostess was rude and after a 30min early check in for my table I still waiting 30mins past my reservation because the hostess didn’t take my server request into consideration.
As a wine club member and having celiac disease, so needing a good gluten free menu, coopers is my#1 choice always. Friday evening it was not the best visit, but still an enjoyable evening. The server was great! The gluten free meal however was not at first. When it was brought out to me I could tell it looked different then usual. Luckily I questioned the side of betty's potatoes because those should not have been on my plate. The manager was wonderful and made me a little new meal reassuring me it was in fact gluten free and the server was very apologetic. Not sure what happened in the kitchen, but it was a close call.
Service and food was really good but my only complaint is poor lighting in the rear of the restaurant. If possible, always opted for the main dining area. It's well-lit
Most of our food was over cooked , and for the prices that shouldn’t be happening.
The food was very good. The service was not so good. Our waitress asked if we wanted the compliments bread which we did, but only remembered to bring it out after we received our meal. I paid for our meal with a gift card which seemed to upset her. I think she assumed she wouldn’t be getting a tip because of the payment method because she pretty much threw the bill on the table and walked away huffy after I paid. I always tip servers cash, which I did this time as well, but it was not a great tip based on the service and attitude. I would probably dine there because I did like the food.
Besides having to wait 10 minutes after our reservation and the hostess not being the kindest at first the server was fantastic. The food and wine was delicious. They were out of 2 of the desserts we wanted. The 3 we went with was still delicious.
Good experience. Food was sent back but was re-cooked and it was perfect.
My reservation was set for 9:15 and we weren’t seated until 9:45. The food was good, but they were so busy our service was poor. Once seated we waited another 20 minutes for the waitress to even come to the table to take our drink order. Part of our drink order was never brought out even after requesting it multiple times. After we were finished with our dinner, we asked to see a desert menu. After waiting 30 minutes for the menu and asking other wait staff for our waitress, we decided to skip dessert and just wanted the check. Because we couldn’t find our waitress, we checked out at the hostess register and left. I am a wine club member and usually thoroughly enjoy my experience whenever I dine in, but was very disappointed this time especially on what was supposed to be a special occasion.
New Year’s Eve
Just be honest with your customers if it's going to be 45 minutes late from your reservation please don't tell them it'll be a 25-minute wait. It was a weird night said the hostess. But thanks for making up for the late hour wait with a free bottle of wine. Much appreciated.
Love Coopers Hawk, service is always outstanding. Highly recommend joining the Wine Club.
We came for an early New Years Eve dinner and started out with Brussels sprouts and some hummus- Brussels sprouts were a win while the hummus was just average. Dinner for the 4 of us consisted of Trio of Medallions, Chef Surf and Turf (Lobster tail and medallions), country rigatoni and Coopers Hawk chicken giardiniera. All were a complete success with empty plates.
We have been to Coopers Hawk at another location but Orland Park did themselves proud. Only down size is parking as there isn't a lot but if you don't mind crossing the street there is ample available parking. Enjoy!
Food service was extremely slow!! Also we had reservations and still had to wait 45 minutes to get seated
Every experience (and there have been many) has been excellent.
