Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Naperville Ratings and Reviews
Went with my best friend who is in from out of state and we had phenomenal service (Thank you Peter), the food was great (had the Surf & Turf/filet medallions and lobster tail) and the wine of the month was delicious. It was not as busy as some Monday's I've been there but the reservation was still a good idea. Can't wait to go back.
We love Coopers Hawk. We do have one suggestion for the Naperville location. They need to increase the area where the wine tasting is held. It's always crowded and this last Saturday we had to stand at the half circle bar and because of standing there we couldn't substitute any of our wine choices.
Normally I have never had a problem with the service, but on this occasion, our server was terrible!
Felt rushed, he kept forgetting to tell me how many bottles of wine I had accumulated, he never told me that I had a $15.00 reward to use, and he acted annoyed with my friend and I when we were taking our time trying to decide on menu items.
Just awful and I sincerely hope he gets better training!!
Love Coopers Hawk! However was disappointed with our service that evening. Have been there many times and have never had horrible service like we did that evening. We were the servers first table of the night and he was very cold and short. Seemed annoyed when he wanted our drink order and none of us knew what we wanted... kind of hard when we don’t even have menus to look at.
We came here for lunch on a Friday-quite busy! We both had a glass of wine, the December Old Vine Zinfandel is lovely! Our entrees were Chicken Giardinera and the Prime Sandwich - we've had both before, and they tasted great, as usual. Finished off with the Wine and Chocolates dessert - a very nice treat.
Our server was great, and we hope to be back soon.
Had to wait 20 minutes before we were seated - even though I had made reservations.
A waiter came to our table 5 minutes after being seated, left the menus for us to look at.
15 minutes later a different waiter came to our table letting us know he would be taking care of us. Food here is really good - which is the only reason I will put up with having to wait a total of 40 minutes before I have even ordered my food.
This location is my go to! And typically great! However, my reservation was not honored and we waited 40 minutes for a table. This was the first time it happened, which would typically not spark an issue. But it wasn’t until about 35 minutes after waiting that someone acknowledged our wait and told us we would be seated next. Once seated, service was great. Poor beginning to our meal thankfully turned into a nice dinner.
This location is one of the best of the Cooper’s Hawk restaurants. Always outstanding food, and never disappointed with service. It is nicely decorated, plenty of room for each table, and great for any special occasion, or just a night out with great food. Very good selection of outstanding wines as well.
Our dinner at Copper's Hawk restaurant on December 3rd. 2017 was a wonderful experience for all of us, my wife, my son and myself. We got 100% satisfaction in every way, nice and energetic atmosphere, and staff knowledge an attentiveness. We enjoyed the royalty presentation, delicious taste a perfect texture of every choice. Everything was beyond our expectations. Strong recommendation. Thanks.
I Have a hard time fully explaining what a wonderful dining experience we had. I went to Cooper’s hawk with my mother, sister and best friend for various special occasions. I’m currently living out of state but have been to this restaurant before and felt the atmosphere was good for a get together. I was SO happy with how everything went. The food was amazing. I had the short rib risotto which is a favorite of mine. The side salad was enormous and fresh! Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing and so very friendly!! We spoke to the manager about our wonderful service and he mentioned this waiter has been with the restaurant for 6 years. Seriously fantastic. The manager was also very friendly. Afterwards we were even treated to a dessert and some more wine! We all left extremely happy and anxious to go back!
First timer to this restaurant and I've heard great things about it. Had a great time. Foot was delicious and my drink was reasonably priced. I built my own Surf & Turf with the beef medallions and salmon, did not disappoint. Service was great as well, didn't wait long for food or drinks.
We had a great meal and experience at Cooper’s Hawk - first time we tried the surf and turf. It was good, but the portions may not have been worth the money. Tasted great, but smaller portions DBA we expected. Samantha was our server and she did a great job.
The server Michael from the onset appeared not to enthusiastic to serve. He didn’t discuss the specials, he never brought out bread, and his overall disposition was somber as I watched another server provide the kind of service I am accustomed to at Cooper’s Hawk. When I dine alone I think they assume they won’t get much of a tip and this is how this visit felt. I have dined at Naperville, Oak Lawn, Oak Park and Burr Ridge. I return because of the consistency. Spoke to a manager and she states, “I will have to give him additional training. I wasn’t looking for a free meal. I came because I love that I can make a reservation and that the food is good so I will return. Disappointed at Naperville location
This is our favorite place to go for any occasion or reason. My family and I frequent Coopers hawk and I suggested it as a special night out with my friends celebrating a couple of birthdays. They loved it too and are also hooked! They even signed up for the wine club. The food is so delicious and the desserts are fun too! The last two times we were there I must say there were a few experiences that were not good. The other night I had made the reservation for 8 people and at the last minute a couple had to back out. When I told the girl at the front desk she expressed a frustration with that and I just looked at her and the other girl almost ready to say I am so sorry to have put you out. They were not crowded on a cyber Monday night so we still were seated at a table for 8. The front desk people are the first contact for the restaurant and they should be the welcoming and friendly. They are usually frowning and very serious wit not much contact. That is my only turn off. the waitress (Jennifer) was amazing! She was so much fun and really new the menu and the wine! She made up for the crabbypants in the front. We still love it there but maybe think about the first contact should be welcoming. Other than that great atmosphere, awesome food and service.
