Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Naperville Ratings and Reviews
We usually love Coopers Hawk but this visit was different. It was a special occasion, not that our waiter asked! It was excessively noisy on this night and our party of four was set I. The middle of the room. Two of us had the squash ravioli with shrimp and lobster which tasted wonderful BUT... and a big but here, it was cold. Came on a hot pate but the meal was room temperature. What a disspointment. Big fail Coopers Hawk!
The menu selection, food quality, portion size and customer service were all excellent! We had the Egg Rolls appetizer, Bleu Cheese Burger, Chicken Avocado Sandwich and Chocolate Cake for dessert. EVERYTHING tasted amazing! It was literally best sandwich I've ever had. Not to mention the bread and melted butter they brought to the table. My Cranberry Sangria was delicious as well! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Every course was brought out timely and our drinks were kept filled. Surprisingly, our meal was not nearly as expensive as we anticipated! It's not common to receive such great food and service for well under $100.
Food was sloppy , risotto was not creamy but was sitting in a back of water , same with gardienere chicken and burger was burned
Server was late filling drinks and made us feel like second class citizens since we don’t drink and it was our anniversary celebration
Love the wine and food at Coopers Hawk. You can't go wrong with just about anything you order! Our waitress was great, checking on us regularly. I did knock one star off because it seems each time we are in, even with a reservation, we end up waiting past our reservation time. Overall not a big deal. The shopping in the front is cute.
Another great lunch! Started with chicken potstickers which was accompanied by a tasty slaw. Main courses included the November lunch special-Grouper, which was delicious and Chicken Giardiniera. Each was accompanied by a glass of wine, Lux Chardonnay and Cooper's Hawk Red. Finished with a dessert and cappuccino. Great food and wine, as always.
Food was great. Wine was (as usual) spectacular. Unfortunately, this is the worst service I've ever experienced at any Cooper's Hawk. We eat here at least once a week and were very disappointed in the level of service we received. Server seemed either mad or confused by our requests. He removed a plate from one of the people at our table, when she wasn't finished eating. She said she wasn't finished and he took it anyway and said our dinners were coming out. When she asked if she could have the remainder of the appetizer wrapped to take home (even though it was a small amount), he questioned it. Personally, I felt if she only wanted one bite wrapped, it should have been done graciously and she should not have been treated as though she were inconveniencing him. Once our bill was paid, we were still finishing our coffee and conversation and he never came back to the table. I would have appreciated a little more water, but our server didn't come near our table. So VERY disappointing. I am not sure what our server's name was, but if I knew, I would make sure I never sat at his station again. Cooper's Hawk service is too good to have one person spoil it with an attitude.
My girlfriend and I had our 5 year anniversary here last night, the food was great, our server was very helpful with food and wine suggestions and prompt, making the night that much more enjoyable! Even when we told her shortly after getting our food we were on a bit of a time crunch, she came out with champagne and a special dessert because of it being our anniversary. Will definitely come here again, and thanks for making our night that much better!!
I have been a member at this particular Coopershawk restaurant since they opened. It has never disappointed me. They always have something new and fun on their menu. This particular night, they messed up my steak order and very graciously took it back, brought me a house salad, quickly returned with my steak prepared correctly, and then comped my entire meal! Our waitress was very sweet and very attentive.
Coopers Hawk is a truly unique (and successful) restaurant concept. First unit opened in Orland Park in 2006 and now there are 33 restaurants. The wine, chocolates and other merchandise store in the front -- plus their wine program -- make this chain a Cracker Barrel for millenials.
Extensive menu, many wine options -- and generally very well executed. They claim they have a "scratch kitchen." Service is terrific. This night I ordered the bourbon pork chop. It was delicious -- but the two sides were cold. (They did promptly bring me more that were hot.) My wife's chicken parmesan was very good. Their house chardonnay is quite good and a good value. The shrimp and lobster bisque is the best!
