Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Naperville
It was very good.
We had fun wine tasting and dinner was delicious
Seems that service is slipping at this location. Dined twice this week and it is the same story...inattentive service. No water glasses filled, no wine poured, no asking if interested in dessert, more bread. Two pieces of silverware were encrusted with food. I think it is time to slow down opening new locations and focus on the service and wait staff. It no longer feels special to dine here. There is one in every town...why?
I recently changed my diet to a more whole food plant based diet and was concerned that there wouldnt be anything on the menu for me. Thankfully CH has a Vegan Trio dish - broccoli, hummus, and red quinoa. Delish!
Food and wine was great but service was fairly inattentive
Approximately 1 year ago, my wife and I went to Cooper's Hawk for our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed it so much we decided to return this year. Unfortunately, our experience was completely different. I made reservations online through Open Table. The process was extremely easy and efficient. Upon our arrival, we checked in and was seated in approx 10 mins. Unlike our first visit, we were seated with the "general population". For our first visit we were seated in a small private and quiet area near wine barrels. It was very quaint and romantic. For the seating area this year, it was very loud and there was a lot of traffic. the waiter approached us and asked for drinks...i ordered the bloody mary $10 and my wife ordered a burnt lemon sangria $9. Her drink was quiet small and the glass was half ice. For appetizers we ordered the drunken shrimp. It was good, but shrimp was slightly over cooked because we had difficulty in removing the tails. The complimentary pretzel bread was room temp and did not taste fresh. It would have also been nice if it was warmed. For our dinner, I ordered the surf and turf (steak medallion and crab cakes - $31) and my wife ordered the chicken with Betty's potatoes. My wife's dinner had a hair on the plate (along the rim of the plate). she chose not to return it. For my dinner, I had 2 very small steak medallions. They were cooked perfectly, but for $31, I expected 3-4. The crab cake had little flavor and some shells/cartilage in it. The roasted vegetables were blackened and difficult to tell what they were. My mashed potatoes were gummy. Overall I would recommend Cooper's hawk, but we were extremely disappointed this go around. For spending over $100, we didn't feel the meal or the ambiance was worth it. The manager did approach at one time to ask how our meal was. We should have told her the truth, but we didn't want to "those" customers. I may consider otherwise the next time.
Everything was amazing except for one of the wine tasting ladies behind the counter. She was very rude.
I made a reservation. We arrived early but we were seated immediately which was great. The restaurant was fairly empty except for a very loud group of adults and children who were seated next to our booth. It took awhile for a waitstaff to greet us. It was very cold and I had to go to the car to get jackets. The air was blowing on us directly from above. The waitress was friendly and told us about the wine of the month. We ordered drinks which were fine. We were told we would get pretzel bread, but it never arrived. Our appetizer was delivered to the table next to us, but it was resolved quickly. The food came very quickly after we got the appetizer. The food was good. We needed a refill of ice tea which we requested but it was not delivered and we had to ask again when we we about finished with the meal. Our reservation was made noting a birthday, but nothing was said or brought to us. I was uncomfortable asking as I thought it would be a surprise for the birthday person.
I was surprised about the glitches, as we have eaten at several cooper Hawks often. This was not the experience I was expecting.
We sat next to a family with annoying and loud kids.
Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant was outstanding as always !
Friendly helpful service great food and wine beautiful view.
We were there to celebrate 2 birthday’s.
This restaurant delivers consistent high quality food and beverage on every visit. Service is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. A joy to visit.
It was my wife’s birthday. She has been to Cooper’s Hawk previously and really enjoyed the experience. This night was no different. We had appetizers and dessert. The apps were delicious and filled us both up. Our server was top notch and very attentive. We definitely will be back!!
Everything was great...I had requested a booth because I knew the noise level would be great...we didn’t get a booth and the noise level was greater than I would have liked...
Great food for my wife’s bday
This was our first time dining at Cooper's Hawk. Loved the shaved brussel sprout appetizer salad. The flatbread was also very good. Good portions on the entrees. The parmesan chicken was delicious. Would definitely return.
We chose to dine at Cooper’s Hawk for my mom’s birthday. We are frequent diners but tonight’s service deserves a round of applause. Our host, Andres was superb. In all my times of dining at Cooper’s I never knew the barrel reserve is on display as you are seated to your table, Andres was the first to point this out. Our sever, Martha. Hats off to her. I have two small children, ages almost 4 and almost 2, and she was brilliant. She gave them the same
Attention as the rest of the dining party and to that I commend her. Thank you Martha for your cool, easy going, charisma, it was much appreciated.
Table was ready when arrived. Service was quick and courteous. The meal was very good. Drinks were refilled on a timely manner. Will go back again very soon.
Great food, Sandy was great. Delicious Bloody Mary. Thanks again.
Restaurant was busy but still the service was great and food was excellent.
This is one of my favorite restaurants! It doesn't matter what you eat, everything is delicious and the service is great!
Girlfriends birthday, also her first time and she loved it
We loved our meal here and since we’re club members, we used our birthday rewards, making this an incredible bargain for really knockout great food/wine.
Great food , great service !! Outdoor dining was perfect !!
Excellent food and service. Just hard to have a conversation with it so loud
I would always recommend Cooper's Hawk! Food is always great! Wine is wonderful and the service is always impeccable
Food and wine selection excellent. Very nice atmosphere.
Great service, good food and lovely atmosphere. I join the wine club and am very happy with the opportunity to have tasting and get a bottle of good wine .
Service was not great... I asked for a wine which only a quarter of the last bottle was available. When requested to have the rest of the wine to put aside (of course paying) I was told that a manager needed to be consulted. I was not happy with the response as I was not requesting to have it complementary, my plan was to pay for the items requested. In addition, I asked fro the drunken shrimp as an appetizer and never received the order. Not the best visit to CH Winery!
Always good food and wine ..........................................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Food was great. Restaurant was accommodating when we were a few minutes late for our reservation. Restaurant was out of a couple wines we wanted. Our waiter didn't bring back the right change after we paid and we couldn't track him down to ask for over 10 minutes.
Ambiance was nice and food was great. Server did a great job explaining specials.
Food great. Servi
We had a wonderful meal , appetizers , dinner , dessert and 3 bottles of wine!!!
Great Birthday dinner, but very loud!! Food and wine were amazing!
We often come to Cooper's Hawk for the GF options and they were out of the GF bread which made dining with my daughter, who has celiac disease, a little less than fun and very disappointing for her.
