Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Naperville
Dorothy, our server, was the best!!! She was super friendly and everything she suggested from the menu was delicious!
The food is outstanding and never disappoints. We came to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was a perfect choice.
The food at the Naperville Cooper’s Hawk is always consistent and good. The service was exceptional and our server was very helpful.
We eat there fairly often, but today was disappointing for one reason. It could when we arrived and stayed cold. The server mentioned it to us at we noticed it. We saw people eating in their jackets and coats. No fun eating while your are chattering .
Come here often. It will always be a favorite spot to bring anyone for any occasion
Great service. Food was excellent. Wines were abundant. We will definitely be coming back. Great experience.
Every aspect of service is outstanding! A very positive experience with everyone you come into contact with.
The food is very good and the menu selections are varied and interesting.
My family took me out for a birthday dinner--three of my family members had never been to Cooper's, while I and three other ones had. It was a great mix of staff recommendations and venturing out to try new things. Bob was fantastic; present, but not overly so, and couldn't have been kinder. He even brought a small dessert plate for my special day! Can't wait to go back!
We went for a late lunch. Food was delicious and service excellent. Enjoyed the pretzel bread and wine was superb!
Starting with the good, they were very busy and we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation tine. It took a while for our waitress to appear. She took our drink order and then disappeared. When she finally came back it was to say she was being sent home and we would have another waitress. We finally got our bread and drinks soon after. When our food was delivered my short ribs were lukewarm but gnocchi and chicken orders for table mates were hot. Short rIbs and veggies had great flavor and were good warmed up the next day and other meals were also good. Perhaps a bad night for Coopers service as it usually good
I called ahead to let restaurant know we were celebrating a 50th birthday. The waiter had to be reminded after we received our check.
The s’mores dessert alone is worth going back for.
You can alway count on Cooper's Hawk to be busy, but there is a reason! Good Wine, Good Food, Good Service, and always a Good Time.
Our waitress seemed to be in a hurry to get us in and out. Every time we turned around she was at our table asking if we decided on dinner,(seemed like every 2 minutes). We just got our drinks and she was back asking about ordering. We had a couple sips of our drinks and she was back asking if we wanted another one. Would have liked to have time to relax with a good meal and drinks instead of telling the waitress we were not ready all the time.
We enjoyed all of our appetizers, but my wife and I both got the special, rib-eye, and it was poorly cooked and rather bland. The fries that came on the plate with the steak were soaked in juices making them soggy. We never make a scene at the restaurant. We enjoy our time while there. This was bad enough that we thought it needed our thoughts after we waited a day or so.
Sat by kitchen and servers station vary loud and servers were complaining about everything
Overall it was good. Server was polite, but I have had some that were more attentive. Celebrated two birthdays, but only got one birthday tray, last time we had three items, this time only two, seams like they are going down.
Still one of my favorite restaurants to celebrate occasions.
It was my birthday so I invited three of my friends.
They really enjoy the lunch menu.
Immediately after lunch we did a wine tasting they love it and they are considering joining so I'm glad they came out and enjoy my birthday with me.
Overall usually very impressed with service and food. This time was not the case. Server was forgetful and disorganized, not attentive. Food wasn't as good as usual
I go to coopershawk multiple times a month and absolutely love it. My family was taking out friends of ours from out of town and arrived at 8:10 for our 8:30 reservation. They were busy so we waited. I ended up grabbing a table myself in the bar by 8:40 when we still weren’t seated. I had my two small children and they were quite hungry and stir crazy so I needed to move the process along. I didn’t receive a message that my table was ready until 8:45, which is a bit annoying given I had a reservation but I had already found a solution. I wasn’t too upset by that. After we were seated our server passed off our table in the middle of serving us, which was odd but fine. We placed our order and didn’t receive our entree until 10:00. The steak was over cooked based on the requests of two of us, the chicken was over cooked in my Piccata & lacked flavor(which never has happened any of the times I’ve ever ordered it at this location). This was infuriating. We didn’t bother to send it back because we felt it would take that much longer to get it back and given we had small kids I couldn’t risk more delay. During our entree & dessert our server disappeared for most of it. Any time I needed containers or to order a beverage she was nowhere to be found. When we did get the containers she left them on the table for us to do ourselves. I have never had to put food in my own container at this location or this restaurant EVER, but I did it anyways because maybe she was busy at 10:50 at night. Minutes later I see her walk by with another table’s packaged leftovers. That’s when I about had it. She was friendly but not a great server. I’m not sure what was the problem when I went but I’ve never experienced this type of food and service at this location. I will continue to return because of my previous great experiences but I was disappointed with my time here on Friday.
Visiting Cooper's Hawk is enjoyable. The wait almost ruined us being able to stay as we were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time. The food was delish as always.
We had a last minute added guest, the hostess was able to get us a table for 5 with only maybe an additional 15 min wait to be seated. Very pleased that they were able to accommodate us. Lovely spacious tasting area. And food was delish as always at all CH locations.
Birthday celebration, grilled prime rib was awesome! Definitely get the egg roll appetizer
The food and service were great. Our server (I believe his name is Aaron?) was really accommodating you our little ones’ food allergies. Overall good experience.
The staff was great, food excellent! And so sweet to give us bubbly for our anniversary!!
Definitely don't' think egg rolls should cost 13.00, that is why I rated the value lower than anything else.
My server, Mike, was great!
Love being a wine club member and enjoying dinner here with family and friends!
The service was wonderful & the food was delicious!
Been there several times. Never disappointed with quality of food. I do highly recommend the calamari appetizer. Best around. Wait staff is very good.
Fabulous neighborhood mainstay.
We were seated within minutes of arriving (we had a reservation). Our server was a delight. He made great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was AMAZING - so fresh and tasteful. Will definitely come back.
Naperville must have unique or very restrictive Restaurant Service laws as compared to other Cooper's Hawk tasting rooms around the Chicago area. The two of us had to find space parallel and touching the tasting table, and not two or three people deep. So, there was an unnecessary wait to get started on our tasting. In addition, I had the Dinner Special and it was overly salty. Normally the food is outstanding. The service is always top notch in the Illinois restaurants.
A little loud. Food and wine were excellent!
It was a wonderful evening, good food, excellent service, can’t wait to come back
Cooper's Hawk is our family's go to place for birthdays and other special celebrations. Even with 2 vegetarian daughters we are all able to find meal selections that we enjoy!
Great afternoon meal. Instead of brunch we had lunch/supper or Lupper. Food, service and atmosphere, were great as usual. They have never disappointed us.
Simply fantastic food, service and wine...as always!
I always dine at this location and it is always jammed packed on a Friday night. They were a little slow to seat me,even with a reservation, but it was understandable given the crowd. Once I was seated, my food, wine, and service were excellent. I had the surf and turf. My wife had the Ribeye. Both dishes were very good. The wine we chose was a monthly special that came from John Legends winery. It was very smooth. So much do that we took a bottle home. This was a very good experience.
Great service great food!
Our waiter was amazing & kind! It was my first time and I enjoyed the food, service and ambience.
