Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Naperville
While we enjoyed the quality of the wine during the wine tasting and ordered a glass of one their best with dinner, overall, we were very disappointed with our dinner. I had a filet which was very thin compared to restaurants I’ve experienced at this price point. My wife had the recommended grouper which was very mushy, thin, and bland. The accompanying asparagus was thick and over cooked. We had initially planned on ordering a bottle of the Camille Brave which we loved during the tasting, deciding the $56 bottle price was worth the splurge. Surprise! When you sit down to dinner, the bottle price is $64 on the menu - I suppose a “corking” fee, but, sorry, in our opinion uncalled for in this setting. We ordered 2 glasses instead, will pick up a bottle on another visit to another nearby location, and skip the restaurant.
We have dined here many times and it has been fine. This time it was terrible. We had to send back 2 of our 5 dinners. The service was very slow. My one year old grandson had the children's chicken fingers. He only ate a bite or two so we took his leftovers home. The next day I re-heated it for him and the chicken was sour. No wonder he did not eat it. Quality was terrible. If this was my first visit it would be my last.
Very nice restaurant, very nice atmosphere, nice place to eat.
Food was mediocre.
I have had this reservation for months, to celebrate giving birth. This was my first time out in over a year. This is my absolute favorite restaurant and usually
Never disappoints. Our waitress was not attentive at all. She didn’t deliver a single glass of wine, appetizer or any portion of our meal. Our appetizer (egg rolls) was great as always. Our entrees were AWFUL. I order the churrasco steak medium and it came well done, pretty much burnt. There was no flavor. The fries were soggy and sitting in juice, the broccoli barely cooked. My husband did surf and turf (which he always does) and the mashed Potatoes that he always gets were inedible they were SO salty. His medallions were also medium well to well, when he wanted them medium rare. After waiting 40 plus minutes for the entree to come out the last thing we wanted was to send our food back or make a fuss... we were hungry. However, the food was very subpar and felt like we were at a chilis or T.G.I. Friday’s, yet paying for a much nicer meal.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and everyone from the host to our waitress to Gerardo, our wine guide during the wine tasting made it such a special night! Not only was the service amazing, but also the ambiance, food and drinks. One of the rare times I’ve had perfect dining experience. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and experience! We go for the food but the wine makes it even more wonderful!
It’s a great place, food and service excellent! But girl at front when you tell them you are there is rude. And FYI don’t check in early they won’t seat you till your reserved tone
Cooper’s Hawk is our favorite. We’ve been to several locations. We’ve belonged to the wine club for ten years, and it’s where we choose to spend all our special occasions. We love the food and the wine. This was a horrible experience due to the service. We’ve always had good service. The staff always goes above and beyond. This waitress was rude and condescending. We were shocked. We will visit Naperville again, but if she is our waiter will request another.
The only thing that was annoying was the immediate sales pitch for the wine club
I love Cooper's hawk and usually enjoy my meal. However, we had a late reservation as i had a friend arriving form out of town and the food seemed to suffer a bit being the last meals out of the kitchen. A bit of a disappointment. So I guess, go early.
Good food and great service. The staff was young but showed poise in dealing with several issues at surrounding tables. The outdoor patio was enjoyable, but could have used portable heaters.
Nice place. Food was good. Service was a little slow.
Coopers Hawk is always an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. As usual the meal was very good. My grandson had spaghetti & meatballs which I think is his favorite thing on the menu. I had the risotto with braised short ribs which was very good but the short ribs tasted more like pork then beef. Still very tasty though. We did have to ask for the bread to be brought to the table but the waitress was very nice and asked later if we would like more. I would like to suggest that the management be alert to how cold it can get when you are sitting under an air vent. Next time Ii will bring a sweater with. Overall though a nice experience.
Great food. Good service.
This is my favorite chain restaurant. The ambiance is great. Food is always amazing. My party of 4 had Diane’s Parmesan crusted chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, short rib gnocchi and southern hot chicken. We all loved our food. They had free red or white wine for moms. Only complaint is that they didn’t have a table for us like we requested on our reservations, they tried to sit us at a booth. Must be a glitch with the open table app. Also the restaurant is always soooo noisy but it’s so busy so you can’t complain there. Everything is delicious and our server was great.
It was very nice. It was mother’s day so crowded and loud but that was to be expected. Our wait staff was super nice and friendly
Great service and amazing food!! The staff did a great job and was on top of everything for mothers day. My wife enjoyed it! Thank you.
Enjoyed Mother’s Day at Cooper’s Hawk!!! Our server was awesome!!!
Fabulous Mother’s Day Dinner! I LOVE Coopers Hawk.
Our waiter was amazing. He really made us feel us feel valued, and his humor and demeanor made a great meal truly memorable. The food and drinks were delicious.
Great service. Filet medallions were over cooked as usual.
Overall food was fine. The issue stems from an advertised “Mother’s Day Brunch” was merely order off the menu with no breakfast related items.
Eight ladies went to celebrate Mother's Day from daughter to great grandma. Each one expressed their food was excellent! Our server was very attentive! Would surely go back!
Wonderful Mother’s Day celebration! Great food and excellent service!
My friend and I enjoyed our lunch at Cooper's Hawk. Great food, great service. Just a little bit noisy because some many people.
Always a great dining and wine experience. Great service and delicious food and wine
We got together with some friends to catch up and enjoy great food and some nice wines. Food and service were excellent although the restaurant can be a little loud at times.
Everything was very good. Great service. Great food.
Food is subpar. 5 out of 6 entrees were cold. No flavor for either steak or burgers. The kids Mac and cheese was like tacky glue. Fries were old. The only highlight was the pretzel bread which was frowned upon when asking for another. We use to love coming here, but it’s our last time. A shame they took the burrata off the appetizer menu.
Food and service were very good! Prices a little on the high side especially wine by the glass. But the biggest distraction was the noise level. Could hardly hear each other while we talked.
The portion of the food should be evaluated if I am paying $30 for a plate I expect to get full.
I am a wine member for a reason. It came in handy this time as well. $25 off the menu, plenty of wine 🍷 flowing, because the bottles roll over and you don’t lose them!!!
The filet mignon was charred, chewy, stringy. Our waiter never came and checked on us in a timely manner. The manager took it off our bill. Our last few meals have been dry, over cooked and the quality poor. We plan on cancelling our wine club membership.
It was a birthday, and the server made sure to not make it a happy birthday. I will not be returning to coopers hawk to celebrate any birthday in the future
Delicious and nicely paced
Nice place and concept, but waited a bit long for service during last part of wine tasting. My dinner reservation was at 5 pm, and waited just a bit while I saw about three other couples seated before us even though I overheard one couple checking in for a 5:15 pm reservation.
We celebrated a birthday and a graduation. They treated our “kids” so specially. Our food was wonderful! Wine was amazing f!
The waitress was less than average, didn’t seem to want to explain the new menu, didn’t notice it was my birthday on the reservation, had to ask for mor
The service was not good. I ordered a new menu item and I was not impressed at all.
