Outstanding service and amazing food! Wait staff and management are outstanding! They go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic experience in their establishment.
We love going to this place for wine tasting and dinner with more wine. This is a great place for a double date.
Even though Open Table sent an e-mail marked “missed reservation”, we were there on time and had dinner. We had one extra last minute person and they accommodated us with a short wait. Food was delicious.
Our server Amanda recommended the roasted Brussels Sprouts appetizer. Huge hit!

Need to get a better valet person! She was rude. She wouldn't psrk my husband's car . She said she so us sitting there , but didn't know the reason. So she told him to park in the 10 min parking
Seated 20 minutes after reservation time. Then another 10 minutes before someone came for a drink order and to bring water. Planned for a nice family birthday dinner, but was seated in the middle of several large parties (bachelorette) that were extremely loud.
Cierra was the best waitress and very very personable. I made reservations and they were a little late with my table but the manager accommodated me well.

Second time I have gone to this restaurant...first time was the one in Barrington. Very impressed...love going to this place for good eats and wine.

Been a CH customer for several years; first time visiting the Merrillville location attached to South Lake mall. Valet was friendly, and welcomed me. I made reservations 2 weeks prior for a table for 2, and arrived on time. I was seated 10 minutes after my reservation, and the blonde hostess took me back to the back of the restaurant to seat me in a 4 person table in a very loud area; all of the tables having large groups. Table was not candlelit, and was seated in between 2 larger tables that were being prepped for groups of 6-8 people by another worker. I asked the hostess if I could have a booth; she said they were all full. I shared I had a reservation for 2, and if I could please have a booth, she said "did you ask for a booth in your reservation?" I asked her "Am I supposed to?" she replied, "well no, but if you had we could find you one." I expressed that I reserved online 2 weeks ago; just a table for 2, I would prefer a booth so we can talk as the area was very loud, and difficult to hear. Annoyed, she said "fine, follow me and I'll show you." I followed her, she spun around said, "See? All full. Sorry, there is nothing we can do." I reluctantly went back to the table. The waiter approached and said the menu insert I was provided was old. I was not told about specials or provided wine suggestions but was asked "do you know what you want?". Once my guest arrived, she agreed we needed to change seats. When we did change to a booth (there was one available when just minutes before it was "See? All full sorry!"), our server experience was great! She shared the specials, wine suggestions, and built rapport. The food was less than great; potstickers; good, steak salad; just ok. From this experience, I decided this location is not for me. I didn't think I would lose that "Cooper's Hawk" standard of excellence at a mall location, but this one did not even come close. I'll be sticking with locations out west from now on. Sorry Cooper's Hawk, this one was a dud!
I made a reservation 4 days in advance.
We arrived 15 min early and checked in. Took 45 min to get a table after. Checking 5x.
Girl at the desk said a manager would come by and talk to us and get us a bottle of wine. NEVER DID!!!! I have never had an issue with this place have been there 7x before. Slightly irriated...not sure if I would go back for a gathering. Could probably find another place.

Had reservation for 7:30, we were seated about ten minutes later. Nice atmosphere, forgot it was attached to the mall. Usually mall restaurants are less quality. Waiter greeted us promptly, and offered some trials of their wines. We ordered dinner, and got exactly what we asked for, which usually doesn’t happen very often. My steak was perfect, crab cake was mediocre to good...I ordered the Parmesan filets, and the wife’s steak was delicious too...drinks were refreshed in a timely manner, and the waiter was pleasant, and accomodating. All in all, it was a great evening, and I look forward to our next visit.

We are members at Coopers Hawk and love it. It's the 1st time we've been in the actual dining room (we usually eat in the seating area within the bar). It was very nice and had enough room for everyone to get around (sometimes places have cramped areas). Great service - great food. The waiter was very informative about the wine of the month and the next steps for opening new Coopers Hawk in the US. Awesome!
Lovely ambiance for a date night. Great customer service and good cuisine. Known for various wine selections but has really good cocktails as well. Highly recommend

Service was slow. Waited 30 minutes for our bottle of wine. We are club members and never been treated this bad at any Coopers Hawk. Dinner for four from start to finish took 2 hours and 45 minutes
Hostess was inattentive and rude. We were a mere ten minutes early for our reservation and she noted that we would be seated closer to our reservation time. Sadly that was 15 minutes after our reservation. We had to change orders two times because they were out of selections .... by 4:30. Would not rule out a return visit but was wholly unimpressed with the visit to Merrillville store.
The food was great, as was the service. The location is very convenient, too.
I’ve already submitted my feedback on the website. My roasted vegetables were burnt (see photos below).
Also the restaurant is busy on Saturdays, then shouldn’t rush cooking the food. We want to enjoy the cuisine for what the restaurant is famous.

The food had good flavor and was brought to us the way we ordered it with the exception of my wife’s. She ordered salmon with no glaze and broccoli and green beans. She was brought the salmon with the glaze and mashed potatoes instead of green beans. She had told the server that she wanted/ordered green beans instead of mashed potato’s. The server promptly brought out the green beans. I told my wife to send back the salmon and have it done right however after a long wait for our food my wife decided to just scrape off the glaze. My wife has type 2 diabetes therefore shouldn’t be eating the sugary glaze. A manager even came to our table and apologized for the food taking so long however that was it. We had a party of 6 which we were enjoying our conversation so the long wait wasn’t to troublesome. The real heartburn I have with this whole experience was the amount of food for the price. I don’t mind paying for the food if we get a good portion however I thought it was very, very expensive for what we got for the money. This is the only reason I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to a friend. The service was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was great but very, very expensive for what you get!!!
Our food was amazing as always the restaurant was very busy even at just 4pm on a Saturday was much busier than we anticipated but our server did an amazing job at taking care of us. As the location is very popular it's not quiet but it's absolutely worth it

The overall dining experience was fine. However I was very disappointed with the experience I had afterwards with Opentable. It seems the person who checked us in at the restaurant failed to note it on the app. This triggered a very rude email from Opentable with the subject line NO SHOW. It went on to scold me for not canceling my reservation. I emailed opentable letting them know I kept my reservation, it was Cooper’s hawk who must have failed to follow through. They responded telling me I should make sure restaurants follow the right procedures in the future. Really? That’s the customers job? I thought patronizing a business and spending money there was our job. Now we have to do theirs too or we get nasty emails with insulting subject lines??? Thanks but no thanks. Won’t use opentable or trust Cooper’s hawk to do their job again.
Excellent food. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Great service except when we asked for a minor modification to a sandwich and the waitress responded, "there isn't a button for that." I suggested that she discuss with her manager but she was not willing. Otherwise great.
My boyfriend and I had a nice date night at Copper's Hawk, unfortunately we were seated next to the kitchen which was very loud and busy. The food was great, the wine was wonderful, and overall we had a great time. We will definitely be making another visit.

The food was great. Service was great. We have had alot of bad experiences within the past few months at Coopershawk at Merrillville and Orland Park. This dinner was an excellent experience. The food was great and our server Antonio was awesome. This was the first time that he was our server and we were very pleased. Thanks for a great dinner experience. All our food was made correctly and recieved the correct meals.
Our table of 6 was well-taken care of with quality, speedy service.
Cooper's Hawk was a perfect place for us to get together and reminisce. We were seated in the front area which was quieter than the main part of the restaurant which was perfect. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. I had the Napa salad which was very tasty (I will order it again) and there wasn't a scrap left on any of the plates, so I assume everyone enjoyed their choices. After it was obvious that we had finished eating the staff did not hover to rush us out and even took our picture. Our experience at Cooper's Hawk was very enjoyable and we will do it again.

Our waitress was FANTASTIC and was kind, answered all of our questions, and if we needed her, she was there. I have been coming to Cooper Hawk for 3 years now and it is the ONLY place I will go for Special Occasions.........ALWAYS!!!!!!!!
Delicious food, great staff! Very friendly and helpful. The lighting was a little low, so it made it difficult for my husband to read the menu. It was overall and wonderful place to visit! We will definitely recommend it and hope to visit again.
Server was terrible. Waited long periods for just water. Before done eating bill was brought and plates taken. Then was asked If we wanted dessert after all of that. Felt very rushed and that we were being pushed out. There weren't any people trying to get tables and they weren't closing. Absolutely a waste of money.
