Easily scheduled a lunch reservation on Open Table. Was seated quickly and greeted kindly. We asked if we were celebrating a special occasion.
We were offered to taste some wine choices. Very friendly staff and quick service. Food was exceptional, we ordered off the lunch menu.
We will stop there again.
We had reservations and were seated soon after we arrived. While we waited for our table we had n opportunity to taste the wine of the month. We also had a good server. Her only problem was opening our wine. But the food was good as usual and we enjoyed our evening.
It was our anniversary, I requested a booth did not get one. Got stuck next to the room with a private party was very noisey. Appetizer was obviously not fresh came out in maybe 5 minutes and was luke warm. The wait staff seemed all frazzled. All around poor experience. Though I will say that is rare to happen hear. Usually very enjoyable but this time around it gets two thumbs down.
It was a birthday celebration for my Mom, and she enjoyed her meal immensely. I was less pleased with my turkey burger and Long Island ice tea. But it was an evening that was all about Mom. Tiana, our waitress, was attentive and quite personable. Even the servers were pleasantly responsive to additional requests when they brought out our food.
Thank you for a memorable evening. Cooper's Hawk has become my Mom's favorite restaurant.
Added a note when I made the reservation that it was our first anniversary, but that was never acknowledged while we were there.
We showed up early and checked in, the staff said that there was no way that we would be sat early, so we attempted the overcrowded wine tasting. The staff then called our name 30 minutes early which cut us off half way through our tasting. They were supposed to finish it at our table, but never did.
We were sat at the first table in the dining area and were constantly bumped into by patrons and staff.
I had the filet and my wife had the chicken. Both meals were cold when brought to us. Food quality was sub par. Desserts were good though....
Outstanding Appearance of restaurant. All the staff went above a beyond to make our first experience a memorable one! The wine was great and had a large selection. The food was fresh and delicious. One of best meals I have ever had! Thank you for a great date night, we will be back soon!
Was there on a date for lunch. Had the Drunken Shrimp, Thai Lettuce Wraps, a bottle of cranberry wine, and a taste of the Chocolate wine. Food was great and our server was amazing. The best server I have ever had at any of the CH restaurants. Valerie is awesome. Thank you so much. Great Food. Great Service. At this restaurant seating.
Dinner date with my wife was great. Wait time (we had a reservation) was acceptable as it was a very busy Friday evening. The food was excellent and our server (Taylor) was exceptional all the way around. She really knew the menu items and had solid recommendations for food and wine pairings. My wife and I had a very nice time while enjoying a great meal. Would recommend Cooper's Hawk to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
Food was alright, nothing to write home about. Service was a bit slow but waitress was friendly. This restaurant is very loud and connected to the mall so expect everything from people dressed nicely for dinner, to people strolling in from shopping in sweats, hats and yoga pants.
The first meal I've returned in 15+ years. A $34 ribeye (Saturday special) that Golden Corral might serve in their all-you-can-eat buffet! CH hit the bad ribeye trifecta - poor quality meat, extremely thin, and overcooked. Wedge salad swimming in dressing. Mushroom side sprinkled with cilantro. The waitress was absent for most of the evening. Met a local Merrillville couple who say they do their fine dining in Valparaiso.
Always love coming here. Food is amazing! This time out of for a lunch date with my wife. We had a reservation (strongly recommended) and were seated fairly quickly. Not too many people there at 2pm on a weekday so we were a little shocked that it took almost 15 minutes after being seated to be acknowledged. The waitress that took care of us was not supposed to be our server, but she took over and was as amazing as the food was. Extremely attentive, checked our account and saw we had tons of rewards available to use, even continued to apologize for being neglected prior to her arrival. Needless to say, we tipped her the same amount we saved in rewards (more than 2/3 the initial bill).
