Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Kansas City
The food and service was excellent. The sampling room is so amazing where you can try samples of their fancy wines. They have so many wines that is so good it's so hard to make decisions. I give the winery and Restaurant a 15.
Everything I’ve had here has been amazing, I especially love the wine pairings!
It was all good, the food is always good and so is the service, we were wine club members but had to cancel due to being relocated to Nashville.
Service and food was fantastic as always. Highly recommend!
Always love going to Cooper’s hawk. Our server, Summer, is the best server we’ve ever had. she’s been our server twice and both times she has been nothing but professional and kind. I am a little bummed that they no longer serve my favorite entre (maple mustard pretzel crusted pork chop) but the food is still wonderful.
Our waiter was phenomenal. He made our whole experience. He was friendly and knowledgeable and funny. The tuna and scallops were the best.
Food took extremely long to arrive.
The food was good but service was terrible. She would disappear for 30 minutes at a time. I asked her a simple question about a certain wine and she had no clue the answer, nor did she even suggest to find out or provide a sample. You would think working at Coopers Hawk you would know a little bit more about wine. And our dinner took nearly 40 mins to come out which she never acknowledged or apologized for. Not sure we are rushing back.
Great atmosphere. Great food and drinks. I was very thankful when we were seated. We were going to be seated away from the windows and it was sort of dark. I asked if we could sit by the windows. And they found a seat by the window. Much appreciated!!
One of the best restaurants in Kansas City! Definitely one to take friends, family, coworkers, really anyone to! The food is always top notch and the service was amazing as usual! Great wine selections and recommendations!
the parmesan crusted chicken on the lunch menu was delicious. I changed the potatoes out for the kale which was amazing on its own. I will be back.
Love Cooper’s Hawk! We’ve been to several in different cities and the food is always excellent as well as the service.
Food was delicious. Service great.
We were celebrating my Mom’s Birthday and Mother’s Day! We had a great time and Tyffani was wonderful. The calamari is my moms favorite and every time we come to eat they are out and that is disappointing. There was a lot of items that were out that my mom would love to try and i hate that. I guess we will have to make our next reservation in the morning if we would like certain items.
We waited over 40min for our food at which point the waiter came to our table to inform us that one of the plates we ordered was not available. Food was really good but the wait was ridiculous with no compensation for our time.
Huge Gluten Free selection! Great food and great service. Will be back again
Great wine and great service. The food was good but I might make a different choice next time. Overall, a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day. Absolutely loved the featured wine.
We LOVE Coopershawk. Their service and their Gluten Free Menu are TOP NOTCH! They probably have the best gluten free menu in KC. Our Server was fantastic! Our only complaint was that every single plate of food brought out to us that day was cold :(. And our GF Pasta was noticeably charred which gave it an odd taste. We didn’t mention it as it was Mother’s Day and we know the Kitchen was probably slammed.
What a Great place, superb food quality, great service.
We attended Mother's Day for lunch. This was our 1st visit. We really enjoyed the venue but the food service was slow and food not as great as I'd hoped. I ordered the barbecue chicken chopped salad and was extremely disappointed. For the price, I could've made a better salad at home. My husband had the shrimp campanelle and enjoyed it other than he said the shrimp was a bit fishy. We wanted to do a wine tasting after lunch and waited for an opening but it was too busy. We may go back some other time when it's not a 'holiday' and try it again.
Mom’s Day. Was spectacular. As always.
We absolutely love Cooper’s Hawk and eat there about once a month! But when we went on Mother’s Day, we had what was probably our worst visit. When we checked in there were two hostesses at the stand. We went to the young lady closest to us who wouldn’t even look up. When she did and we told her we had a reservation she just pointed at the girl next to her as if we should talk to her. The second you g lady was very nice, but clearly agitated with her partner’s lack of helpfulness. We went to the bar to get a drink while we waited and even though it wasn’t busy, we waited a very long time to be acknowledged by the bartender. He got our drinks, slid the tab over and cashed us out, literally without one word spoken on his part. Not one! When we got seated at our table, Our server was clearly overwhelmed, but being a server in my younger days, I am always ultra patient. But it took a long time to get us menus and take our order, he didn’t come back for so long, I couldn’t get a refill on my wine forever, my daughter waited a very long time for her water to be refilled. Our food was VERY over cooked and lukewarm, but again, with our server struggling so badly, we gave up on trying to send it back. Along those same lines, we didn’t order dessert because we didn’t know how long it would take or how it would be. We waited a very long time for our check as well. We will obviously go back, as it was only one bad experience out of many, but it was Mother’s Day and it was awful. Hopefully they rally.
We eat at Cooper’s Hawk frequently and are usually very pleased but this visit was not good. It was Mother’s Day and was busy but I have seen it busier on weekends. First off they did not see our reservation and pretty much said “too bad.” I showed them my confirmation from open table and also the phone call from the restaurant confirming it. Amazingly, our reservation appeared! The food was good but the service was horrible! Thankfully my husband saw this because I did not! They sat our food down in front of other people at another table. The food sat in front of them for at least 5 minutes. My husband saw our waiter grab the food from the other table and then brought it to us!!! My husband said no and to remake the food. That’s disgusting!! So we had to wait for our food. Also, had to ask another server to get our server twice! I’m glad this wasn’t my first visit or I wouldn’t be returning.
Delicious food, great service from an amiable server, Joshua.
We made reservations & our table was ready on time. Food was delicious. I’d like to try more dishes but the shaved Brussel sprout salad, Parmesan crusted medallions & Mexican drunken shrimp were so good that I will go back again just for that. Service was prompt & friendly.
It was all pretty good.
Arrived at 3ish and the hostess was flustered and seemed like shift change made things awkward.
The service was fair. The pork tenderloin was excellent, with a great sweet potato mash. The mac n cheese just average.
Filet was very poor and chewy with basically a nuked raw stalk of broccoli, unseasoned and inedible. The side of Betty potatoes was runny and not good.
I would def go back and try something else. The atmosphere is good.
Arrived for our reservation and were seated promptly in a booth in a quieter part of the upstairs but only after insisting that we wanted a booth and in an area that was not so cold and with circulation blowing on us and a busier area at a table. Also the waiter never gave us plates from which to eat the appetizers, I had to retrieve some from an adjacent table. After that the experience was good. Food was delicious although pricey. The quality of the food made up for the other shortcomings. It is a favorite special occasion spot for us and will continue to be as long as you speak up for yourself about seating accommodations.
The wine tasting is incredibly fun. Nick behind the bar was super helpful. Can’t wait to go back.
We are wine club members and enjoy our monthly visit to Coopers Hawk. Loved the new additions to the menu.
Our server ... Anthony ... was excellent
Food was great, wine selection as well. Service could've been a bit faster, but that was the only negative of the entire experience.
As always, excellent food and service. Very friendly staff. We enjoy it every time
We began with wine tasting and completed our afternoon with lunch. The service provided by John was excellent. He was attentive without being obtrusive. Our food was delivered promptly. All our meals were very good. It should be noted they have an extensive gluten free menu here, which is important to one of the members of our group.
This is the second tome we have been there and both times were amazing! Great wine and the food is spectacular! Husband had the grouper and I had short rib risotto. Best risotto I’ve ever had! We were able to comfortably talk with our friends and not have to yell. They also have a great gluten free menu to accommodate our friends diet needs. Great date night spot!
Very busy but several open tables. We were seated immediately. Food wss amazing.
The food was great, as usual. The service was lacking.
I decided to take my friends to Cooper’s hawk after a past great experience. This time was not as good. Our server was not very attentive and Would not give clear answers when we asked questions about the menu and what she suggested. it was extremely hot in the dining area which made it unpleasant also.
The food itself was not bad. My chicken was a little dry but did have good flavor.
Overall I was disappointed based on past experience. My friends who had never been did enjoy it but were disappointed in the service.
