Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Jacksonville
Our dining experience at Cooper’s Hawk is always awesome. The staff is attentive and the food is delicious! We enjoy the appetizers just as much as the entrees. The wine selection is great. We love it here!
Service was horrible. Food took way too long! Our server was not attentive at all
Food was delicious, it was a busy Saturday night so things took understandably longer.
In fairness, it was a busy night. We were celebrating our Anniversary. We have been to Cooper’s Hawk many time. It was a bit disappointing because we decided to spend our Anniversary here. The drinks took forever, the waitress was sweet and professional, but very rushed. There was no Acknowledgment of our Anniversary which we put in the “special “ notes. Cooper’s Hawk is Consistently a great place to go on the weekly. I would not recommend for a special celebration evening like a Anniversary . We usually sit in the bar on the patio we found the dining room to be very cookie-cutter in the ambience. It very much had a chain feel to it.
We had a great dinner, from appetizer to wine to dinner. My mom had never been and she loved it.
I’m a wine club member so I find a special occasion to celebrate every month and make a whole night of it. Copper’s Hawk offers an overall experience.. it has a store, a wine tasting bar, a regular bar with TVs, amazing entrees, energetic atmosphere and a down to earth wait staff.
Our favorite place for wine and appetizers. The service is always great, and the food is consistently good.
We ordered wine to go with our meal and the wind never came. The guest of honor was quite upset that we could not get served our wine with our meal. We ultimately got our wine, as we had all saved one bite of our entrée to be able to have with our wine. The manager was wonderful and comped all of the wine. The waitress was very flustered. And instead of just excepting the fact that there was a screwup she tried to explain her way out of it multiple times. The food was outstanding, however in a restaurant that ride south on it’s wine pairings do not have wine with our entrée as it was ordered prior to the entrée is on excusable.
Wine bar was pretty busy had to wait about 10 minutes to get a glass. Interesting that you couldn’t put a tip on the card, glad I had cash but what’s the deal with this?
Seems they decided to squeeze in extra booths in a few areas and make it super tight for anybody that is not 100 pounds or less. Had this issue before and moved but no other open booths so we dealt with it.
Initial server was great but eventually she told us she was helping out her coworker who was overwhelmed. Had to ask for things she said she was getting several times. Entrees came out within a few minutes of getting appetizers but everything tasted good. We had to stop her for drink refills twice and she left us a long time after we were done before asking if we wanted dessert while not caring about the plates sitting there.
As Jacksonville goes this is a pretty expensive restaurant so I expect things to be a 4.5 or better but this time was a 3.75. Unique place so we will try again.
The food and service were both good. Our waitress, Amber, did a good job of making food recommendations, as well as some wine suggestions. A very casual but very nice restaurant.
The short ribs were a bit tough and the vegetables were over cooked and dry. The Betty potatoes were excellent! Our server was Brendant...he was enthusiastic, personable and took excellent care of us. He was assisted by several others who also made us feel special. All helped my guy, Erik, have a Happy Birthday 🎈
Wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter.......as a member of the wine club, I have not been disappointed in any way.
Always a pleasure to dine here, food & service are spot on.
First things first if you want to go on a weekend you should make a reservation the wait can be long!
The wine list was good however on a Saturday at 630 you should not being running out a a Cabernet Sauvignon. The pretzel bread and calamari were the highlights of our dinner. My Husband got the shrimp and scallop risotto. That was rough the scallops were burnt and he only got 3.5 small scallops, and like 5 small shrimp for 27.99 way over priced. I got a surf and turf Parmesan crusted filet medallions and a crab cake. the crab cake was ice cold and the Parmesan crust was way too thick, I love cheese but it was just too much. Overall average food the waiter only checked on us once. We will not be going back you have better options at this price range that are far superior
Too noisy. Service was slow. Probably the waitress had to wait on too many tables !
Our service was excellent. William and Danielle were awesome. Our wine was perfectly chilled and our food was fantastic.
One of our best dinners out. Ever!
I enjoy going to Cooper’s Hawk on a regular basis since it first opened. This was the first time in years that my meal was not up to par. I ordered my steak medium well but it came out rare. Additionally, the salad had more iceberg lettuce than anything else. I have not ordered the salad in almost a year, but I recall it being heartier on the types of greens used.
However, the wine of the month was on point, so it saved the evening. I would definitely continue going to Cooper’s Hawk. It is one of my favorite restaurant at Town Center.
Food and service was excellent. It was a Friday night so there was a good crowd and a little hard to hear.
Another outstanding dinner at Coopers Hawk. Food was perfect and wine was great. Outstanding night.
Our waitress V was amazing!! The food is always fantastic and the wine tops the cake! What a great experience!!!
I ordered the salmon medium rare. When it was served it was well done so I sent it back. The 2nd one was brought to the table by the manager. He asked me to check it while he waited. This one was also well done. The 3rd one was a charm It came out cooked the way I asked for it. By the time the 3rd one came my husband had finished his dinner. His dinner could not be eaten cold so I told him to eat & not to worry. When we received our bill we were charged for a drink we did not receive.
Fantastic food, fantastic service!!!
Great food, great service! A little pricey but certainly worth it!
It is the first time I have been to Coopers Hawk and I met 2 clients there for a business lunch. I am not sure if it was just an off day for the chef or what. But neither the clients or myself could finish our meals the food did not taste good. This defiantly was not what we expected in comparison to the cost of the meal. The waitress was attentive but oddly enough didn't even ask why none of us had finished our meals. The restaurant is nice and quiet so it was a shame. I will definitely not be returning there.
To start with, the hostess couldn't locate our reservation. Luckily, they had no problem seating us on time, but then today, I received a no show email from open table. Not a huge deal, but annoying. We had a lovely server. He was new, but very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered cocktails and aside from being way too full of ice, they were good. We asked for water with our drinks, which we didn't receive. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer, which took 25-30 minutes to receive. Luckily, it was amazing. One of the people in our party ordered a salad. It never came. We then waited 50 minutes for our entrees. Two people ordered the churrasco steak, cooked medium. One was perfect and one was bloody. I had the red wine short ribs and it was too die for. Another person in our party has the shrimp and polenta. It was good but the veg in it was over cooked and looked black. It still tasted okay but it didn't look appetizing at all. We asked that the rare steak be sent back or put back on the grill. The manager came out and I expected he was there to apologize for all the issues. Instead he questioned why the steak was sent back!!! I was flabbergasted. While the rest of us were finishing our meal, they offered to cook a new steak and said they would bring a complimentary salad. Again, the salad never came. Finally, after everyone else had finished eating, the steak, cooked medium arrived. The manager came back to confirm it was made properly. We advised it was and we expressed concern about our entire dinner service. He offered dessert as compensation. Ugh. We had been there over two hours and at this point we just wanted to leave so we declined. He gave me a card for a free appetizer the next time we visit, assuming there will be a next time. Not a great first impression. Overall, the food we received was very good, but I'm not sure if the good outweighed the bad. The manager, Brian, didn't try very hard to make it right and that is a major disappointment.
Great food. Service was good although I could have done without the wine club promotion throughout the meal. Environment was very loud — not what you’d expect from a place that promotes the union of wine and food.
Cooper’s Hawk is a great place to dine! Excellent service, excellent food, and great wine!
I just love this place. Such a great concept! Their wines are fantastic. It’s great to enjoy a tasting at the tasting area prior to dinner. The price of a tasting can’t be beat, and the wines are delicious. I love their sweet wines. The menu is extensive, lots to choose from. Sangria is awesome. Food is amazing!
Good is always great with great service! Love the atmosphere and the wine tasting. Could use more proficient help behind the dessert counter
Service was perfect. The food was presented nicely, and tasted great. I was disappointed in the amount of the portions of my surf and turf. There were 4 thin slices of steak and one very thin piece of grouper. They tasted great but the steak was tough. I would probably not order that plate next time.
It wasn’t perfect like our previous visits. The filet was well when ordered medium. They were very apologetic and recooked it and the manager came over as well which was great but it still didn’t come out medium. I wasn’t going to say anything the second time since most of the rest of the party was already done eating. This isn’t a normal experience and we’re forsure going back
Short Rib Risotto and the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp are a must!
This was our first visit but it definitely won’t be our last. Everyone in our party was very impressed with both the food and our service. Robust menu with a nice variety of options including vegetarian. Overall an outstanding dining experience. It was a very busy Friday night so the noise level was high which made it a little difficult for a member of our party with a hearing issue. However, I scoped out the dining room and saw several tables that looked like they would be more quiet. Will be sure to include that special request on out next visit. Would highly recommend Cooper’s Hawk to anyone.
Our first time and will definitely return.
Excellent food and service. Very friendly staff. Overall good experience.
Good as always
Food was excellent per usual but the service was not up to par.
Love their food especially their mushroom crusted chicken!
Meet great people every time - wonderful atmosphere and the food is always great.
