We went to Cooper’s Hawk Winery to celebrate our anniversary. Our waitress was fantastic and the food wonderful. I highly recommend the chef’s pairing plate appetizer. We will be back.
Excellent as always! Great wine tasting afterwards as well
The food at Coopers Hawk is always amazing! My fiance and I make a point to eat there multiple times a year (birthdays, dates, anniversaries, etc). The staff is always friendly and the wine is delicious.
We went here for Fathers Day and always enjoy coming here. We had potstickers and Thai lettuce wraps for appetizers, both have excellent flavor. My only comment would be the lettuce wraps need more chicken. We quickly went through the chicken. My wife had a flatbread pizza which she really liked but thought it could have used more sauce. My son had the veggie burger and also thought it was excellent. I had an old favorite, short rib risotto which was as good as always. We think the wine here is quite good and even though it was busy the service was very good.
Father’s Day late lunch
Wonderful at wine tasting and our dinner server was the best ever. Friendly, bubbly, knowledgeable and just a pure delight.
Father’s Day brunch
Great as always, thank you!
Just as we have come to expect .... Great wine, great food and excellent service!
Overall we had a great experience. We were celebrating with a small rehearsal dinner. We had one gluten-free diner and she LOVED her dinner, lots of options. Great wine!!! Our only con, and really it was small, was that our waitress seemed over worked. It seemed she did her best to take care of us but forgot the gluten free bread she promised and seemed unacessable during the later of our dining. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend to our loved ones. We will be back! Hopefully when there is more attention able to be paid to each group!
Great food and waitress. My boyfriend and I went out for an evening date, and wanted a chance to dress up a little to dine. Well most definitely return.
As always, it was perfect. Our server, Julie, is a gem.
Outstanding service and really treated us very well. The food is always good and something for everyone. Love the tasting room and getting to try out the wines and monthly specials. Great value for wine club member.
Rushed in rushed out...same as last visit. So much for a meal that you can relax and enjoy.
It was just an average place really.
Three of us dined at Cooper’s Hawk on Tuesday, June 12 to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. We made a reservation, which turned out to be a great idea since the restaurant was very busy despite being a weekday.
My sister had the peach sangria, which was deliciously sweet and refreshing. I would highly recommend it as a summer drink for anyone who prefers a sweeter cocktail.
We started out with the crab beignets, which were AMAZING. Easily the highlight of our meal. For our entrees, my sister had a soup / salad combo (veggie tortilla soup and a wedge salad), my aunt had the grouper, and I created a surf & turf combo with crab cakes and filet medallions. Everything was excellent!
We had a great pair of servers: Jocelyn, who was being trained, and her trainer (I am completely blanking on her name, sorry!). Both were more than competent and provided attentive service while respecting our space as the three of us caught up.
Overall, a great visit to Cooper’s Hawk!
The service was great. Food arrived quickly, was hot and we’ll presented. Sampled three different wines before ordering. Ended up joining the wine club.
Table was dirty when we arrived to be seated. The manager apologized, and Steve took great care of us for our 6 year anniversary. So fun!
We were celebrating our anniversary. No one ever acknowledged it. We were sat in the middle of a noisy room next to a bridal shower. The other side was a group of nurses celebrating something. The food was good. The last time we came we were seated in a quieter area. Would not come back for a date or anniversary.
We frequently dine at Coopers Hawk and during good weather opt for the patio which can be a little bit quieter. The food is consistently good and it's nice to try different wines and support the non-traditional big name wineries.
Server was kind and was accommodating.
Food was over cooked, red meat was too crusted for well and too brown for medium. 32.00 for an over cooked filet is disappointing. Gluten free salad was delivered with croutons.
Very loud environment. We got stuck in a corner. Presumably because we brought our 6 year old daughter.
it was marvelous. soup is extraordinary. Will be back again and again.
The food took a little longer to get but the food was great and service good
We attended Cooper's Hawk restaurant for a friends get together - we try to go monthly. We had great service and food as usual! Our server was attentive and knew the menu well! Overall great experience - and the wine tasting before is always fun!
Dining area is always cold. Really need to conserve some energy and lower the A/C. Even our dinner partners who always keep their home cooler than I prefer were chilled.
Noise level isn't noisy per se - but still makes conversion a bit difficult.
Do like the wine club!!
Great dining and wonderful service. Lots of wine to choose from. Excellent!
Told Shea we had a time deadline and she met it! Food was very good as well as the service! Always great wine!
The food was great. Crystal was our server on the patio and the service was great.
Enjoyed another terrific visit to Cooper's Hawk. It was the second time we brought friends, because we can count on excellent service, amazing wines, and delicious food. The table decanter for a bottle of wine is a fun perk. A little pricey (dinner entres $25-30), but totally worth it. The only negative is that it can get noisy if you're seated near a large group of people who have drank too much! Only happened one time.
I am a wine club member at CH. Food always great. Menu is varied. Options for lunch and dinner.
The wine of the month was really good, the chef special was also good!
Amy was an excellent server. The food was good and very well prepared. Barrel Reserve wine selection was wonderful. One of my favorite places to dine.
It was extremely busy for a weeknight meal, but the food and service were still awesome. Team work within the staff is so nice to see and makes for a great dining experience.
Great food + Amazing service = Great Night Out with Friends
We had a reservation but had to wait. A storm blew through and forced the closure of the patio. Copper's Hawk made it right. Hostess staff kept us up to date and server immediately apologized and told us we would get a free appetizer. Told our server about the disappointing experience we had early in May at the South Barrington IL location. We told the IL server it was my birthday and that I was a club member. Not only did he not bother to say Happy Birthday he didn't give me my club member Birthday reward. On this visit since we got a free appetizers I asked our server if she could do something for my friend's birthday which was that very day. Our server surprised my friend with a great complimentary birthday dessert(Chocolate covered strawberry and an amazing truffle). Service could not have been better!
Our food was delicious and cooked properly. The appetizers and entrees arrived a proper intervals so we could enjoy it all. Great Night. Can't wait to go back.
Perfect birthday treat for adult son, great seafood but loud to point waitress had difficulty hearing order.
Our meal and all was in good taste. One thing we did not like was the rush to provide us everything at once. No more than we received our drinks, the appetizers were on the table, then before we finished the appetizers the main course was brought to us.
Maybe someone with the establishment might recognize we weren't there for fast food. We'd rather enjoy the night out instead of being hustled like cattle through the process.
Our waitress was new so we remained patient, but we waited 10 minutes to be greeted (after watching people sat after us be greeted), received the wrong drinks, had to ask for bread (and was told 'usually you have to ask for it, we don't just give it to you', once our food was given to us we didn't see our waitress again until I flagged her down for the bill. This was only my second time dining here and I don't know that I've been wow'd enough to make it back let alone recommend. The food is consistently pretty good though.
Service and food was excellent. Loved all the gluten free choices including the bread.
Great food. About 15 miles from Downtown. Excellent Wine selection! Will definitely return.
