Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Columbus
Made reservations 8 days prior to arrival but still had over a 20 minute wait to be seated. The waitress was polite and nice but the overall service was extremely slow. At one point I waited over a half hour for a drink. When the drink finally arrived I had finished my meal and was ready for the check. I was also charged for an extra drink I didn’t have but paid for it anyway to avoid waiting an extended period of time for it to be made right. The food was very good although my wife’s steak was over cooked.
Undecided if I will ever return but it’s doubtful
Service and food were rated 3 because the kitchen ran out of Thai lettuce wraps. I couldn’t believe it. Also, I order some spring rolls as an alternative and didn’t like them.

It was very crowded, but we were seated right at the time of our reservation. Although it was noisy as we walked past other tables, we were seated in an area that was quieter and the ambience was very relaxing and enjoyable. Our waitress was attentive without interrupting. The wine was delicious and appetizers absolutely delicious. The meals were perfect! Overall, a lovely experience!

I love Cooper’s Hawk. However, We were seated in the very back of the second level this time. A restaurant of this caliber should invest in the ambience of this area. There was a service elevator right at my back. They rolled crates of glasses and dishes back and forth to the kitchen throughout the meal. It was a big disappointment. I’ll still go back but will request to be in the main floor.
Had the surf and turf and requested Medium Rare came out well done. By the time it came out everyone else was done eating and they packed it up to go. They did remake it but offered nothing for the inconvenience of not actually not getting to eat with the other 7 in our party. We have eaten there many times aged this is the first time we have had an incident.
Very nice, well-maintained restaurant with excellent food and wine. Our server was very knowledgeable and even provided a complimentary sample of a wine he felt would enhance our dessert. Highly recommend!
They never disappoint. The service is always A1 and the staff friendly and professional. During the wime tasting, we always receive excellent servi and e and get the chance to meet new people.
Valentines Double Lunch Date
I am a Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club member and was encouraged (via several Cooper’s Hawk emails) to book a reservation for the special Valentines Day meal (lobster tail & Parmesan crusted medallions). My husband and I were very much looking forward to dining w/them for this purpose. We dined early at 11:45a, only to be told that the featured meal was completely sold out early evening THE NIGHT BEFORE! The advertised dates were 2/13-2/15 yet they were out of inventory early evening on the 14th! Needless to say it was VERY disappointing and tho we still had a good meal, it really changed the mood of our romantic outing. I received several emails advertising this meal, but none saying ’oh well...ALL GONE!’ The employees were very apologetic, but that was all they could offer was an apology. Sooooo not cool.
The wait was 30 minutes past our reservation but our server was amazing, her timing and personality, along with the food made it worth the wait.
Ask. For. Shelby. You won’t regret it. She’s the best and makes the experience even better. The food is great and so is the wine. The service is, and always has been, the icing on the cake. Thanks Shelby for making our Valentine’s Day even better!
Valentine’s Day dinner
Unfortunately, we were seated by a large party where there were people constantly getting up and leaving/coming back. This party had more people than seats and there were several people standing over our table and being very loud and rude.
We look forward to going to coopershawk every year for Valentine’s Day but we’re very disappointed after this experience.
Food was wonderful. First time there, pleasantly surprised. Calamari was some of the best we’ve ever had. Definitely going to go back
6:15 reservations made 1 month in advance. Arrived on time. Told we would be called or texted. Never happened. At 6:45 we checked again and were told they called us. Never happened. Seated then not happy about the wait. Our server was outstanding and turned our whole experience around.
