Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Columbus
Seating times were later than the reservation and no drinks were offered to offset the delay. Our table of 4 waited 10 minutes just to receive water. The waitress seemed rushed and we were seated upstairs by the service area. Poor knowledge of the menu meant allergy concerns required multiple trips to and from the kitchen. Braised short ribs seemed to be pressure cooked, had gristle, and required the use of a knife. The cocktails were probably the highlight of the dinner. Poor value for the fairly high cost.
We had the best service we’ve had in months! Bella was our server and she was exceptional! Great personality- friendly, personable and courteous! More servers like her are needed! The food wasn’t quite as good as some times before but it was still good.
The food is consistantly good and the wine is amazing.
Our server, Bella, was phenomenal. She made a rare girls night out without kids super special. Both the food and wine were amazing! Also wowed by their extensive gluten free menu which was greatly appreciated by my friend. Will definitely be back.
Waiter was not the friendliest. Just didn't get a good vibe from him. It was VERY noisy in the tasting area which is where you wait for your table. They sat us in a corner so it wasn't so noisy there however it was by the windows so it was chilly.
We love this restaurant. It’s hard to get in for the wine tasting, but the food and service is amazing!
Everything was great.
Always changing the rules on us every time we visit. At our first visit, waiter asked us to buy our club wine at the retail outlet. Visited 2 more times, no issues. This past visit, waiter said "I have to charge you an $8 opening fee since you did not buy from me" This is a great concept, but the experience varies.
Excellent food and service. One of my Columbus favorites
Food is absolutely delicious and their wine selections is always top notch!
Great atmosphere! Wine is fantastic and they let you taste test before buying! Will certainly be back again when I am in town.
Grand daughters 25th Birthday
Good experience first time there.
I love everything about Coopers Hawk and is a member.. have been dining here for years, unfortunately, this time our waiter, Patrick was not in a good mood to serve us. It felt like we were taking his precious time.
Didn’t offered anything for the birthday girl so we order led creme brûlée. we asked for a candle but was told there’s none and he has no lighter. The restaurant has no lighter??? Overall, very disappointed night.
I will go back since I am a member but thinking about canceling it because nowadays the servers are not pleasant.
The seatting was okay. It was my fiancé and I anniversary and we put that on the reservation and were sat at a table in the middle of Everyone under a light. We wanted a romantic setting which we think cooper hawk does not provide. The food, wine, and service was exceptional though!
We go to Coopers Hawk at least twice a month. It is our favorite place. The service is great and the food is outstanding. Very neat and unique experience.
It's always a pleasure dining at Cooper's Hawk.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, however the quality of the food has decreased drastically. We ordered the over the border egg rolls, these used to be amazing full of flavor and identifiable chicken pieces, they now are made with shredded chicken that had absolutely no flavor...probably frozen and not homemade. We also ordered the buttermilk spicy fried chicken sandwich, a true disappointment my fries were cold and over salted, the bread was soggy which I pulled it off and moved it to the side to tell my waitress so that I could get a new piece of bread...not a new sandwich although I should have sent it back altogether...well she never came back...not until it was time to pay our check. We won't go back. I cand spend $ on lunch somewhere else.
Had a great waiter. We were seated promptly. A great place for a birthday celebration 😊
We always have a great time, the wait staff are wonderful and the food and wine are amazing!
I love Cooper Hawks! In fact I am apart of the monthly wine club! Our waitress I believe her name was chasity was extremely unpleasant! How sad when you are spending over $200.00 a meal for just two people! I asked her if she could please and thank you have my wine ready for me to pick up when we were leaving. Her comment was I had to wait in the line up front that she would not be getting my wine. Of course she stated it in a pleasant manner but that was not the point! Extremely disappointed in the service! Kyle the manager was amazing he was kind enough to bring me my wine at the table to take home! That is a service that they provide. Chasity did not want to do it! It saddens me because I was brought up to treat people the way I want to be treated which is exactly what I did!
WTTE noise level as so high we could hardly hear our waitstaff!
My friend and I went to the Cooper’s Hawk at Easton Mall in Columbus. She was apprehensive since she had had a poor experience there when it first opened. I convinced her to try CH again and she absolutely loved it! We both had the chicken Madeira and it was excellent! Robbie, our waiter suggested the egg rolls as an appetizer and they too were very, very good. All-in-all, we totally enjoyed our dinner and highly recommend Cooper’s Hawk to anyone looking to experience an enjoyable evening with good food, service and atmosphere.
The Brussels sprout appetizer was really good! We had wonderful service.
We made in the happy hours and enjoyed valuable wines and appetizer.
Definitely come back for Happy Hour again!
Food came out warmand some sent it back. It took us several minutes to get the servers attention. I think thry were short stsffed. It was a mondsy night. ???
We love going to Cooper's Hawk! Our favorite appetizer is the crab beignets - just the right amount of an amazing crust with a full stuffing of crab. The service is always top-notch and friendly. Our food has always been well prepared and delivered at the right temperature. The tasting room is well attended and the staff knowledgable.
Always great experience for me and my family. Fine dining go to.
Parking problems due to all the construction at Easton
My favorite anywhere. I dine there at least once a week and am never disappointed.
Fantastic food and wine! Wait staff was great and very knowledgeable on wine and menu.
We weren’t called to our table until 1/2 an hour past our reservation, and we were all starving, but aside from that everything was superb. Our waiter, Benjamin was fantastic! The food was incredible, the wine was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful. I love Cooper’s Hawk!
Everything was great! Love this place food and service is excellent!
We purchased a Coopers Hawk Lux wine tasting for 4 at a charity event and was excited to take friends to the experience. We waited 30 minutes for a spot in the tasting room, finally slid into a spot, and were excited to try the wine. The the wine server told us, quite rudely, that we had to go to one of the main bars for that type of wine tasting. She did not even offer us any options (like paying there for a basic wine tasting, etc.) She said she did not have that wine at her bar (although we saw her repeatedly run to the other 2 bars to grab bottles of wine for those she was doing tastings for at her bar). We asked if we had to wait again, and she said we did, and just brushed us off.
We had friends with us, and we were all considering becoming wine club members. We had dinner reservations and had checked in as soon as we arrived (an hour early for the wine tasting). They told us to come back after our tasting. We waited another 20 minutes, got a spot to do the tasting, and was told we didn't have enough time before our dinner reservation. So, we checked in again, was told we would be texted when our table was available, and had to wait another 40 minutes for our reservation, which was 45 minutes past our reservation time! They didn't even text us when our table was ready (they were walking around the bar shouting our name). We had mediocre service at the bar (and sat right at the bar), although the food at dinner was excellent and the service was good from our waiter.
Needless to say, we will not be wine club members after the service in the tasting room and the bar!
Very disappointed in the experience...we can get excellent food elsewhere for the price without the wine room hassle!
We had the best time with friends this past weekend. Everyone was overly happy with their meals.
Unfortunately we did not receive our
Great service for a super busy Saturday night. Flounder was so so, mashed potatoes were too salty. Asparagus was awesome! Drink was good and strong
Ordered the Chicken Maderia, found it to be unpleasantly very sweet. Tried to eat my meal but I couldn't-the more I ate the sweeter it seemed to get, the dish is pretty much chicken, cheese, mushrooms, asparagus and potatoes with maple syrup over it- That sums up this dish. There are no other distinguishing notes of flavors other than syrupy sweetness. I was hoping the fontina cheese would add just a bit of balance but the cheese was unable to compete with the overwhelming sweet sauce of this dish.
This was our first time to go here and it was confusing where it was in Easton. Then the downstairs was so jam-packed I had to literally elbow my way over to the desk to check in. Once I got upstairs and found my party, it was much nicer, although still so loud conversation was difficult. The food was good and the service was very good. Will probably not come back again just due to the noise level.
Great food, great atmosphere, great wine. We came with friends and had a blast. We'll be back!
