Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Cincinnati Ratings and Reviews
We went to Cooper Hawkes for my daughters birthday! I had the Trio of Medallions and they were delicious. I loved that they had wines paired with the meals so you didn't have to try to pick one yourself.
The rest of our party had Spaghetti and Meatballs and a variety of burgers. Everyone loved their meals!
The ambiance was nice, a little loud but it was a Friday night.
They also have a wine club that my husband and I are going to join.
This is a great place for a date night or special occasion!
Love the consistency of this restaurant. However, this visit we were surprising our friends for their 50th anniversary and requested the complimentary champagne toast they spoke of when we checked in. They never offered it throughout the meal and we were unable to enjoy that special moment as it would have been uncomfortable to bring up in their presence.
Had a great time. The wines and food are outstanding. I like it when servers have opinions about the food and wine. Taking time to answer questions was appreciated. I really don’t like it when servers say things like everything is good when asked about recommendations. This was not the case here. Food is fabulous with large portions and great prices. Very nice way to end our night after the theater and the casino.
This was the worst experience I have ever had. We went on a Saturday evening with family to celebrate our engagement and the night could not have gone worse. From having to hunt down our server, to busing our own table, to being charged for things we did not order to never hearing back from the manager, it was an absolute nightmare. I will not be returning. We chose this for a special night and it was nothing but chaos.
The $24 Ravioli a la cart special was average - bay scallops (always a compromise) and not much in the way of lobster chunks. Scant serving to boot. The broccoli side for $4 was horrible - a few paltry pieces, dried out (borderline burnt) with no flavoring whatsoever. My wife's salad was good as was pretzel bread. We asked for more at end - had to ask. My house wine pretty good and hers excessively sweet. All in all - just OK food priced as exquisite when it is not. Ambience good - food unimpressive.
This was my 2nd visit and I have had excellent food both times. It would be quite appropriate for a business lunch. However, reservations are a must (it was packed on a Friday at noon) and the parking lot is not adequate for the crowd. They have a valet service, but not at lunch.
We celebrated my nephews birthday. This was his first visit...His wife is very picky... She found several choices she liked and we all were happy with our meals. We all got something different. Our server, Chris, did an exceptional job and took great care of us. We are also members of the wine club. Loved the evening!
Cocktails and appetizers were excellent. Dinner was very good. Service was spot on. They have a great menu, which made it hard to narrow down. The only negative to the evening was that we were seated in a small room that was fairly remote from the main body of the restaurant. It has an all glass front overlooking the parking lot and it was cold to the point of being uncomfortable. We will definitely go back and highly recommend Coopers Hawk.
Nice restaurant. The food was very good and our server was as well. The only negative that I'd call out is that it is a rather loud space. We had trouble carrying on a conversation at our table due to the noise. It may have been where our table was located and I'd still go back and try it again.
The cost of the food was way to high for the quality. I ordered the Churrasco Grilled Steak, probably got served the leftover of that night, it was a small piece of meet and tasteless, and the side fries came out of a bag and then they sprinkled parmesan on top. The worst part was we could not even tell the waiter that as he rarely showed up. The service was too slow.
We were impressed with our table being ready on time, prompt contact by our waitress, food presentation was very good as was the food itself. They have an extensive wine list, knowledgeable staff and desserts as good as my and better than most. We will go back.
I took my mom and sisters to Cooper's Hawk for the first time before bridesmaid dress shopping. It was amazing! All of us loved our food. I got the Carne Asada tacos, my mom got the maple pretzel crusted pork chop, one sister got a burger, and the other for the filet. I will definitely be going back!
The food is extremely way above par. It might appear pricey but on the flip side it is not because you get exactly what you pay for! Amazing food and service.
Appetizers: crab & lobster bisque, pretzel bread, & Crab Beignets. Entree's served: shrimp & scallop risotto, filet mignon and Ahi tuna, parmesan encrusted chicken.
In the past I had the short rib risotto, mocha coffee... I have NEVER had a bad dish.
I truly recommend this restaurant and encourage everyone to join their wine club as well; great perks!
