Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Cincinnati
overall good experience. Our server was exceptionally good.
After requesting a new table as we were being seated, all was an enjoyable. 5 were to be seated in a booth, we all had gifts to exchange, a booth would not work. After a slight hesitation from the hostess, a round top of 5 was quickly found a we were all comfortable with room for our gifts.
AWESOME! Had a lovely evening!
Bad service. Server didn't take food order until after we were finished eating our appetizers. Felt like we were there forever. I got a filet mignon. It was cooked correctly but was a bad cut of meat. I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife because of grizzle. Another person at our table ordered his steak medium rare but it came out very well done.
We always have a great time
Our server was Josh. He was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was not overly crowded so he gave us plenty of time to sit, talk and visit. I came with 3 girlfriends for our little "holiday" get together and gift exchange. So, it was nice to sit and have time to spend together. The food was delicious as always and everyone enjoyed the appetizers as well as their meals.
Of the four of us, two of us stayed and did a wine tasting and I had a few that I had never tried before. But I still have my favorites. Cooper's Hawk is always a wonderful time and one of my favorites.
We had a late reservation at 9:30 pm. We were seated immediately. We waited about 10 for our server Josh. I had to ask another server to send someone over. We came for the Bacon Board appetizer. Josh said they were out of that item. We ordered our meals and Josh came back about 15 minutes later to advise me they were out of mashed potatoes which eliminate 3 of the other side choices that were available. The food arrived at room temperature. When asked if we wanted desert a menu was brought by Josh and he did not come back for another 15 minutes. Prior to that another server stopped by who said she was asked by Josh to see if we wanted desert. Josh dropped the check and forgot about us again....The manager cashed up out and gave me a bottle of wine for all the issues. Josh apologized for all of the delays which was ironic because they were all caused by him and should not have happened. I won't be going back or referring this restaurant to anyone. The service by Josh and his attitude was awful. The manager's response for why they were out of key items on the menu was poor planning by the kitchen essentially. I paid a pretty penny for drinks and dinner for 2 that was a bad experience all around. Not happy whatsoever.
Our reservation was for 8:00. I ordered filet mignon, well done and broccoli. The broccoli was great. The filet was still bleeding so I asked for it to be cooked again. The waiter brought it back after being cooked more and it was STILL BLEEDING. I asked for it to be cooked more because I wanted it well done. He brought it back over cooked and dried out ...at 8:55. I should have been given a new steak that was cooked correctly. Instead of having the same steak cooked , then cut into. Then cooked, then cut into , then cooked...They did take the steak off the bill but when I go out to dinner only 1 time a week ,I would have liked to have a nice steak.
Alexis was a terrific server. Food was delicious. Was not aware it was a chain, and it was run like a local restaurant. Highly recommend.
Delicious food, great wine. We love a night out for dinner at Cooper's Hawk!
Food was not good and overpriced. Service was adequate. Big difference from the West Chester operation.
Meatball appetizer very tasty. Our server was happy to bring us a couple of wine samples so we could choose appropriately for our entrees. My husband and I appreciated the Life Balance choices while our son enjoyed the chef's recommendation. The complimentary celebration plate presented to my son for his birthday was a lovely and tasty surprise. All in all a good outing at what is a favorite location for dining out.
The service and the food were excellent. I'll be back again. There are several items on the menu that I want to try!
We loved being greeted at the door with a sample glass of wine. The drinks menu was good. Several of my friends said their dinner was just OK. I had the beef medallions and they were delicious.
Very good experience and great service from Josh.
Always a great place to dine with a group. The salmon is perfect.
Food was not good. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks from the bar. I used to really like this place but it has gone downhill. I eat at CH pretty regularly but am taking off our rotation.
My husband and I took my father here for his birthday dinner. We ordered caesar salads, Dana's parmesan-crusted chicken, shrimp and scallop risotto, and the bleu cheese and crispy onion burger. All were absolutely delicious. My husband and I shared a bottle of the Cooper's Hawk Red and very much enjoyed it. Our server, Shawn took excellent care of us and patiently answered questions about the menu items and the wine club. My husband and I enjoyed our experience so much that we decided to join the wine club that evening. We look forward to dining here again!
-Great drink selection
-Cozy and upscale atmosphere
-Server Shawn was the perfect amount of attentive
-Really don't have any for this visit
We always love eating their and doing the wine tasting first. This time we had hamburgers and Mary's potatoes. yum. We were able to eat in the bar and watch football games. Really like the option to do that.
Food was wonderful, wine excellent
Seated as promised. Some orders were okay if not remarkable but steak orders were very skimpy. When brought to manager’s attention, he acted appropriately. Would go back but not soon.
Love this place. You can join their wine club, which has some great perks, or just enjoy the atmosphete, the food and the wine at a reasonable price.
Great food and service was top notch. Enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner.
