Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Burr Ridge
The food was delicious
Parking was difficult.
Asparagus soup was delicious, but we only got 1 bread roll for the whole table of 4 people.
My daughter loved the fries, but didn’t care much for the fried fish.
I didn’t like my gnocchi butternut squash dish.
My husband liked his salmon.
My friend liked her gnocchi dish with meat.
The server never refilled my hot water tea pot, even though he refilled the water glasses and iced tea for the other people at my table.
My cappuccino was very good.
It took a very long time to take our dessert order.
We enjoyed the atmosphere.
I might go back to try something else on the menu. You have a lot to choose from.
It was crowded as expected. That makes the place noisy. The bigger problem is that the kitchen becomes overwhelmed. The steak special was good but seriously under cooked. The steak was rare, i mean rare when it was ordered medium .
The service was very good for the crowd but that only meant it was delayed.
Go Coopers any day for a quality meal. But if the place is packed, think about somewhere else. They can’t handle the larger crowds too well.
Good food but terrible service. Rarely saw our waiter. Didn't check on us after food arrived to make sure everything was good. Took about 20 minutes for our bill payment to be picked up. The gentleman who helped me pick up my wine at the front was great though!
I usually never leave comments - except this time it was really bad. We Went here for my daughters bday at 5:30 on a Friday night (5 of us). Service was terrible -wrong meal served and didn’t get anything comped-manager offered a free soup or salad but we had already ordered our salads and eaten them. The original meal we ordered was delivered after everyone had already eaten dinner-so we didn’t even eat it and boxed it to go . Our server had the worst attitude and even rolled her eyes In front of my daughter when we asked for more bread. My husband ordered the short rib risotto and the beef was all fat. The dining room was freezing-45 degrees outside and the air was blasting. We ate dinner in our jackets. For the price you pay-you’d expect more. Cooper’s hawk is growing too fast and they need to work on their service. It shouldn’t take us over 2 hours to eat our meal when we aren’t drinking any wine. It’s not worth the price to eat here . We’ve been wine club members and coming here since it first opened and cancelled our membership and won’t be back. It’s been on a decline for years and this was A horrible dinner gone wrong what was suppose to be a special birthday for our daughter.
Our server was great and her recommendations spot on - loved the John Legend but always a Reserve person
The server was attentive and the food was full of flavor.
The only thing that could have been better was the time it took to get the food. It was longer than expected. I was not in a hurry but if I was it would have been a concern.
Disappointing service - not very consistent, not timely. I had a fish dish and the sauce was overwhelming in quantity. Food quality otherwise good, just not thoughtfully executed.
We were here to celebrate our 30th annniversary. I would suggest that special occasion diners be seated in the main restaurant as the bar was very loud and conversation was difficult. Our server was excellent as was the food. It was disappointing that our anniversary was not acknowledged as I noted it on the reservation and it was our 30th anniversary
Very friendly staff at the counter for the wine tasting, hosts and our server. We had the Chicken Giardiniera, it was delicious as usual. Over all great experience.
We have never had an issue at the Naperville location, but the last two visits to Burr Ridge have not been ideal. We went for my wife's birthday on Sunday night. There were several tables of loud women being obnoxious. Our server seemed more inclined to spend time with them then service his tables. We were constantly waiting for service and when the food came the potatoes were cold, as were my son's fries. I told him it was my wife's birthday and he never even acknowledged it. Very disappointing for this level of restaurant.
Very positive experience w waitress and new waiter she was training
this was the first time in a couple of years where I ordered the fish and it was a good size and delicious
Always great! We really enjoyed our night at Coopershawk. Phillip was an excellent attentive waiter, and without my even asking they brought a replacement for one of my medallions because they informed me it had been over cooked. Always wonderful we will definitely be back!
Arrived approximately 5:10 for a 5:45 reservation and upon checking in I was told I was too early and to come check back in closer to my reservation time. Odd but ok, went to the bar and enjoyed a drink with my wife. Went to check back in like I was told at 5:40 I walked up to me name being called with “Final Call” added to it. I was then chastised for not hearing my name after I was told I couldn’t check in because I was too early. After being seated and our server taking our orders for the goat cheese flat bread and calamari we got our appetizers. The flat bread while crisp the topping were not cooked thoroughly and were just sloppy in presentation. The calamari came out as a fused loaf of a tempura nightmare. The dish was so over battered it was inedible. We ate none and the server didnt even notice or ask. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich. It was GARBAGE. The menu stated a creamy blue cheese slaw which was the deciding factor in ordering this dish. The asian slaw that was so overloaded with ginger made it inedible. The chicken had all the flavor a lazy trip through a bowl of tabasco could muster. That on top of the most disgusting pickles I have ever tasted. Our favorite desert banoffee pie was also “just ran out” of when we ordered it. This location is a blemish on the Coopers Hawk franchise and should be closed for retraining. A total waste of 100$ and a night out.
Our server Jessica was great! Very good pacing of our meal. The food and wine relish.
We usually love Coopers Hawk but the last few times the food has been an issue. My wife’s steak was over cooked and dry then redone and very rare. Our server was great, just frustrated with the food, again.
Service was outstanding! Sam was one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere in a long time! We will definitely be back and will definitely ask for her.
I went with a group of friends for a birthday celebration and we had a great time. It was a little loud but we didn’t have to yell to be heard. The food was great and so was the wine! I would definitely recommend!
Excellent service. Only had to wait 5 minutes for our table. Hostess wished us happy anniversary. Highly recommended.
My husband & I started our evening with dinner, followed by wine tasting. First of all, Lupe was a great server, attentive, polite & she even made small talk with us. At wine tasting: Kathy R was friendly, informative & professional.
Great staff!! Will continue to keep our membership with Coopershawk!
Good good, excellent server.
our regular gatherung point for excoworkers - always so enjoyable and delicious
I was there for Business meeting great atmosphere and privacy
I have been there many times and always great. I actually made a mistake and brought my great aunts (4 of them). They live a very shelter limited lifes. I wanted them to experience something different. MY MISTAKE. They were overwhelmed. E.g. didn’t understand the menu. One wanted a sandwich. Bread and cold cuts. Another wanted hot tea, Lipton tea. Didn’t understand the different teas. The waiter was so kind and got us through it. Specialized orders, teas not hot enough, explained menu forever, and on and on. All and all it ended up great. Thank you
We had a reservation and were on time. We were seated and waited over 15 minutes before our server greeted us for the first time.
After that, everything went smoothly.
We had a wonderful time dining on the patio. Perfect evening with good food, wine, and friends.
Our server was Richard. He was incredible. Nice wine selection. My date really enjoyed it as well. Thanks Garry
Service poor and slow. 1 hr 15 minutes for salad entree after they forgot our appetizer
Coopers Hawk is always a fun place to bring friends out too. Having a Wine Club membership you get to do a wine tasting before dinner then enjoy the wine you picked with friends to have with dinner. I also love to go and do date night with my husband too. They have something for everyone. Definite recommend any night. The food is great!!
The food was outstanding. We went on a Saturday night, and I think our service was not that great. The waitress came by and would ask if everything was alright and then turn and leave before anyone had an opportunity to answer. I asked for water, since my glass was empty for over 45 minutes and she turned and walked away before I finished asking for it. Right before we got up, my glass was refilled. The waitress asked for the number of people we wanted wine glasses for and we told her the entire table of 6 would like glasses. The waitress said "2 glasses?" and turned and left. About 15 minutes later, she brought glasses, and then we waited for about 10 minutes for the other glasses to arrive. The food was outstanding, prices were very good, and the place is very nice. I would come back, but on a night that was not as busy. Also, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom when we left, which was around 8:45 pm.
Great food but service was slow. I'd still recommend this restaurant
Moms birthday and in laws anniversary
Good food, nice atmosphere, Vanessa was the best.
I eat at Cooper’s hawk regularly- they were off their game last night. Food took forever, two of the entrees
The appetizers were very good. Overall the food was not the best. We had ordered surf and turf. The vegetables were either not cooked properly or under cooked. They tasted terrible. The half portion of steak that came on my plate was ordered medium however I received the middle of the steak cut and the edge. Half of my portion was medium the other was well done. The tuna also a bit under cooked. The server was great.
We were there to enjoy a birthday meal for my husband. He had one of his favorites, the BBQ Bourbon pork chop with Betty's potatoes and garlic green beans. I had the Drunken Shrimp and a side of the kale with tomatoes, delicious! We shared a Caesar salad. Our beverage was the October wine of the month, a great red blend. Our server, Michael, was attentive and helpful. We had a great meal, service and wine!
The food was good the wine was very good. The waiter was excellent, didn't rush us & followed up without being pushy. Gave us the time to visit.
Food is always exceptional. The wine tasting is absolutely the best.
Coopers Hawk is always good!
