Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Burr Ridge
Great food but had to ask four times for bread. It seemed like the waiter was very busy.
Excellent food for all 4 of us ordering different plates. Nice service.
We come to Cooper;s Hawk often and the food is very good! Our server, Sheila, was great. She was attentive and helpful. We had a bottle of Unoaked Chardonnay, my favorite. We shared a Caesar salad to start. I had the jambalaya, the chicken was overcooked so I told Sheila and she had it redone. While we were waiting, Matt, one of the managers, stopped by to apologize and see if we needed anything while we were waiting. When my new plate of food arrived it was fantastic! My husband had the Bourbon BBQ pork chop, Betty's potatoes and garlic green beans which he loved and ate it all. We had a great meal and would eat these choices again. Thanks
Great lunch spot. You can hear yourself talk, food's good. Selection of food and drink are good. Service was excellent.
Getting seated for our 6:30 reservation was anything but easy. We got seated at 6:55. The service was terrible. We waited 15 minutes just for water. Another 15 for wine. My food was cold. I was truly disappointed with the entire evening.
We had to wait about 20 minutes even with our reservation but it was worth it.
Nathan our wine taster bartender was great. Very knowledgeable.
Our food server was Jasmin, super good and friendly.
We always have a good experience there.
I wish they would put name tags on all servers.
We we meeting the parents of our son’s girlfriend as they are expecting their 1st child together. We chose this location as it is central to where we all live, we’re all familiar with the brand and we enjoy the food & wine. It is also where the expectant mother wanted to eat! We made a reservation for 5pm for 6 people. We were seated around 5:15-5:20. The restaurant was decently busy. Our server, Scott, took our drink order at which point I requested to taste the new Caspaña wine. When he brought it out it was delivered in a SIGNIFICANTLY dirty glass. From that point things seemed to go downhill. It took a while to get him back to place the order, check on us, or even get to-go boxes & the check. After about a half hour of waiting for him to return with boxes for our food and a check, I went to the front to get a manager so that we could pay and leave. We recognize that Scott & the restaurant as a whole were busy. The level of business from the time we arrived leading up to the time we were to get our check had significantly increased. We watched & overheard as another guest talked to Scott about the poor service as he walked him to the large party room where his group was. While we understand that it was busy and recognize that there was not enough staff for the amount of business, it still significantly impacted our visit. We definitely will not stop eating at CH or even at this particular location. However, We would have to think heavily before visiting this location on a weekend again.
On a good note, the manager did come out apologize, boxed our food and got the check for us.
I love the Burr Ridge Cooper's Hawk. For a chain restaurant, the food is outstanding. We had a party of four and started with the brussel sprouts which were amazing. The medallions of beef and the pistachio crusted grouper are my favorites. The special of the day, Mac and cheese with short rib meat, was a highlight. Great experience.
We were seated at 9:05 with a 8:30 reservation and we arrived at 8:25. The table we sat at was broken, but the waitress was able to fix half of it.
We have gone to other Coopers Hawks and loved our experience. This visit would not make me want to come back again.
Everything was great, but it’s time to change the menu up.
The food was very good but portions were quite small for the price. We all came home hungry
Only problem was the front wine area. We couldn't pick up our wine bottles because we were ignored by the staff. It was busy with people waiting to be seated BUT we still were never approached after standing at the bar for 10 minutes waving our ticket. We finally just left. I'll pick up some other time.
My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our 1 year anniversary here!
We started with the cheese board and it was outstanding. The chicken picatta was excellent as was the salmon salad.
The food is what brings me back each time. The wine is just as added bonus to accompany the delicious food.
Food was good as we have eaten here and other Cooper hawks. The only problem one person in our group ordered a medium cooked hamburger and it came rare. Manager took off our bill and gave her one to take home.
Staff is very friendly. The ambiance is beautiful. Food is great along with the wine selection.
In was our first time there. Excellent service, atmosphere. Our server was very nice
Had a good time however our waiter didn’t inform us on one of our wine bottle up grade which he added to our bill when I question him about it he took to the manager which then Was taken off also that upgrade amount on the wine bottle was taken out of my checking account which I did not authorized so it seems to me that I’m still being charged for that upgrade
Coppers Hawk was wonderful, but you, Open Table, didn't give us our points as you should have.
My first time and I'm going to go back
We had a business lunch at Cooper Hawks that lasted three hours the food and service was excellent
Service was super slow, food was ehh. Ordered Iced tea and it was forgotten had to ask for it again. Never asked if we needed refills etc. Waitress Hardly came back to the table to check up. The Dining experience has gone downhill lately at Coopers Hawk.
Coworker’s retirement it was just a little bit too loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk
I love everything about this place I felt so at home, I always come here when I want to feel great
This was our second or third time at this location. We have been to other Cooper's hawks as well, but we like this location the best. We drive 45 minutes to visit the location especially! And I'm sure we will be returning...
I've spent many years in the service industry - here's my thinking: It's disgusting that there are not staffed bussers and it's up to the server to pre-bus, clean and re-set the tables. I sincerely doubt that there's enough time or motivation to wash hands appropriately. It looks cheap and unsanitary all around - distracting from an otherwise great visit.
It took about 30 minutes for the server to greet us after we sat down. Multiple requests for water went unanswered. The food was ok, the wine was not good
