Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Burr Ridge
Wonderful service and food!!
We love going to any of the Cooper's Hawk locations, but this time was by far our best experience with food and service!
Great place for business meeting or family dinners. They have a nicec hildren's menu
as well as a wide variety of entrees for adults, including several healthy choice options.
My wife raved about the salmon and I thought that the jambalaya was excellent.
We were seated right on time. Service was good she was knowledgable and friendly. Only criticism was the filet I ordered medium it was thoroughly charred on outside and still blue in the center. Also not to nitpick it says Mary's potatoes are whipped they are more smashed still had chunks. They were still delicious just was expecting something else.
Went for Fathers Day...had to wait a long time for everything...to be waited on, appetizers, meals. Was almost a 2 hour lunch. We didn’t have anywhere to go , but just disappointed on the long wait. Food was decent, but fries were cold.
Celebrating Graduation and Father’s Day.
The food was very good and we were seated upon arrival. We had a reservation. My wife is celiac and requiees gluten free. They have a seperate gluten free menu that is extensive.
Good atmosphere - very energetic - food was very good and a very large menu to fit anytime of food choice from appetizers to gluten free.
Food was luke warm not hot, appetizers came out separately brussel sprouts were cold, waiter uninformed concerning wine club membership told me I had no wine available when I actually had 5 bottles. When asked about the bonus 2 bottles to be drank at the restaurant he kept saying sure, sure but I found out when I picked up my bottles that that does not start until the 25th. I eat here at least once a month and was very disappointed with this visit. Did not realize til I had left that I did not see my $15.00 birthday credited to the bill. Will I be back? of course I love the wine and the food is usually very good. Bonnie Cantu
Our server was very polite and knowledgeable. Great experience. Thanks
We have been at Cooper's Hawk before, including this location. When our food came out, my wife's order was not hot.....by taste or touch and we did not wait at all before trying our meal (mine was only warm). I don't think it is too much to expect that your food come to you hot. We immediately found our server and informed her of the problem. She apologized and told us that it would be corrected and that a manager would come out and talk to us. My wife told me to go ahead and eat my meal as she waited for hers....needless to say her meal came out after I had finished mine. I guess you can say we got to watch each-other eat their respective meals instead of enjoying them at the same time. While we were eating, we saw a manger walk around, but no one ever came up to us and talk about our meal,...and the server never brought it up or asked if a manager ever came out to talk to us. It is not as if we rushed out as quickly as we could as we finished our meals, desserts and drinks in a peaceful manner. Needless to say I would expect better from Coopers Hawk ....definately do not feel we got value for what we paid.
I used to love Cooper's Hawk. And it has been a long time since I was there. It was super crowded. I wanted to taste some wine, and managed to get one taste, then the bartender never came back. We sat down, the server was very friendly, but there was a long time between visits to our table. We ordered the barrel wine, and we had to ask twice to get our wine. The food was lukewarm and clearly had been sitting a while. I ordered asparagus, and some of the stalks were half woody, and it was cold, so I sent it back. The second time, it was warmer, but still had a lot of woody ends. I pointed this out to the manager, and he took my plate with the woody stems apparently to show the kitchen staff. Then, for desert, we ordered a chocolate and wine pairing. The chocolate came, but it was about 20 mins for the wine to come, and we had to ask for it. The menu said it would be port wine, but it was fruit wines like you would get at a cheap winery. We didn't do more than taste that. The Calamari was good, the scallops I had were good (but one was only half a scallop -- seriously!!) Tons of missing attention to detail, but I guess when you have that many people who want to come to your place, who cares?? I can find some other place to go from now on.
The service was fast and the food was outstanding. They were very happy to make substitutions on the menu.
We had an outstanding cheese and bacon appetizer. My wife had the salmon kale salad and felt the piece of salmon was a tad on the small side. I had the bourbon lacquered pork chop, and it was just a hair overcooked, but still tasty. The mashed potatoes were the best thing on the plate.
Reservation was for my birthday. Everything was spectacular as always.
Food was great and our waitress was exceptional.
Excellent food and wine.
Service was poor. They brought out my sons steak cold & burned. He ordered medium well but delivered a charred steak with cold grillled veggies. Service was lacking which I attribute to how busy the restaurant was.
We’re very disappointed as we were celebrating my birthday. The server never even recognized that we were there to celebrate. It was my sons first time dining thereas well. Needles to say, we will never dine at the Burr Ridge location again. Sticking to the Orland location where their food and service by Tiffany was a much much better experience. I’m also hoping that the next time we visit the Orland location, we’ll be met with the same good service as before.
Server was excellent. Made great recommendations
This place never disappoints, but service this time could have been more attentive.
Everything was great, food was great as always. The only reason I gave it 4 stars the waitress took a while to check on us, and brought us the wrong check the first time. Other than than that, experience was good.
Waitresses are ignorant and literally stupid
Incorrect food given or ordered
We enjoyed the wine of the month. We shared a salad. My husband had the short ribs and I had the crab cakes. We ate it all! Tasty and delicious!!!!!
Food was enjoyed by all of us. Been going here for years.
CoopersHawk never disappoints. The food was excellent as always and so was the service. It was the perfect place to have a family dinner.
My friend and I met for a girls dinner to catch up. We were seated at a four-top table in the middle of a ton of other restaurant goers, very loud, hard to even hear each other talk. I wish I had requested a booth or the front of restaurant in the extended room. Food was good, waitress was great - knew we just wanted to eat, drink, and talk!
Great food, great variety, great wines and sunny outdoors... Gotta luv it..
While we normally love Coopers Hawk, this was like a comedy of errors. Came in to celebrate our 10th anniversary...pleasant staff, sweet server. 45 minutes after we order...still no food. Server apologizes...order put in incorrectly, and they are re-firing all of it. Ok... manager comes over to apologize, offers hubby a new beer, which we accept, thinking dinner will be out soon. 20 minutes later, still no food. Manager comes by AGAIN. Our meals have been accidentally served to ANOTHER table. More apologies. At this point, we were just so disappointed that we chose to leave. A different manager came and gave us vouchers for a free meal in the future, and also offered to pay for the meal we might have chosen to stay for, but by this point I was near tears and just wanted to leave. I dont think I made a scene, because I certainly didn't want to ruin anyone else's evening. I think we will eventually use those vouchers, because we have always had wonderful experiences there in the past, but I think it will be awhile. Hopefully this was just a one-off bad experience...
I ordered Shrimp Scampi and literally there were only 4 little shrimp that I couldn't even find under the noodles. I do frequent at the Burr Ridge location and I was totally disappointed in my dinner. I will be back but it was definitely not up to par.
Service by Peggy and Britney was outstanding! As Always, the food was fantastic... It's worth the drive from Munster, Indiana!
My daughter's 21st birthday
Amazing and the service was wonderful!!
Birthday celebration, good food and drinks...
Our server was excellent, the food was delicious and the overall experience was outstanding.
My husbands hamburger was cold and had to be sent back. I ordered the ahi tuna salad and received an ahi tuna dinner. I didn’t realize it wasn’t the salad until the bill came and it was $27 instead of $17. The waiter acknowledged he ordered the wrong dish but did nothing to rectify the problem.
Thank you for making my Birthday special especially our waiter Ricky. Fantastic food and wine.
Just as expected, Coopers does everything well and they never let us down.
I would not recommend it for the weekend unless you’re not starving and are okay waiting nearly a half hour past your reservations to be sat and another 40 minutes for food on top of that. Wine tasting and the bartenders were great. The two tables that sat after us seemed to get their multiple apps and meals before our one. We checked in at 8:20 for our 8:30 and were sat at 9:05 then waited another 9 minutes for someone to come to the table. Definitely have had a better experience at Orland and when burr ridge was empty on a Monday 😕. The manager didn’t come by and i know at my job ours would have, and it was our anniversary and first night out since having our 2nd baby in two months prior.
