Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Arlington Heights Ratings and Reviews
As with all Cooper's Hawk restaurants, menu was same, food was good, restaurant service was good. However, our table was on the edge of a main walkway in and out of the cavernous eating area. It was like eating on the sidewalk due to numerous wait staff and patrons constantly passing by. The wine-tasting area was crowded and seemed to be understaffed. Some servers were friendly, others not so much. None offered information about each wine poured.
Wine tasting is always enjoyable. Expand your pallet with regular or sweet wine tasting. Stay for lunch, dinner or a light meal! The menu has something for everyone including monthly specials that pair with Coopers Hawk Wine of the Month. A glass of the Barrel Reserve wine is always nice to try too!
We really like Coopers Hawk but when going to this location I was reminded of how big and cavernous it is and therefore - LOUD! The food was good, but my fish entree was overcooked. It could have been sitting there a while before it was brought out to me. The seared tuna entree my husband had was pretty skimpy. HOWEVER, service was fabulous and we were seated promptly at a very busy time. No waiting. And our potsticker appetizer and tortilla soup were delicious. We would go back though. This was an odd night perhaps.
Chicken potstickers are some of the best I have enjoyed. Thin, crispy wontons made the potstickers very tasty. The jambalaya was excellent. Succulent shrimp, andouille and chicken were properly spiced. The chopstick chicken salad was very filling. Dana’s Parmesan crusted chicken was delicious.
I was very excited to finally try this restaurant - we've driven past several times and we decided it would be a good place to celebrate my daughter's 28th birthday. The restaurant is very nice, roomy and well appointed. The food was good too, but unfortunately, poor service put a damper on the night. We had to wait forever for the waitress to take and bring our orders, and several times when I tried to get her attention, she actually turned and walked in the opposite direction to avoid us. She apologized when she brought our check, and thanked us for being so patient, but we were not happy. And the restaurant/waitress did nothing to acknowledge my daughter's birthday, even though I reminded the hostess when we checked in. All in all, disappointing.
Food was great. Waiter was horrible, not attentive and rude. We had to chase him down three times for service. We had to ask other waiter for help. Not once did he ask how things were or if we needed anything. If we come back, we will NOT sit in his section. Very poor service. He could care less about making sure we had a pleasant experience.
Have been to this location before however this was the first time we made reservations. Not sure what was
The point of reservations as we waited 30min for our ‘reserved’ table. The hostesses were both unhelpful and seemed annoyed when we would ask for an update. The manager was equally unhelpful,?she apologized but then walked away- no follow up. This is especially disappointing as we’re loyal wine members and have never experienced this poor level of service in any of our prior visits
I been cooper Hawks fan for a while I been to many locations but it seems like Arlington heights location is the worse. No matter if you have reservation you won’t be seated at the time of your reservation. They will make you wait 30 min before seating. What the reservations are for ? People have life’s so I hate when places don’t respect that. It’s not my first time issue with this location. They will never ever seat you on time. The service is awful. I keep telling to myself and I do t know why I go back (prob hopping it changed). Their manager is very rude too.
We booked a reservation ahead of time. This place has an excellent ambiance. We ordered the calamari appetizer. I had the salmon while my friend ordered the gnocchi. All of the food was great. We had the s'more dessert afterward which was delicious. Wine was wonderful, of course, as well! I'd definitely return.
Food was great. Service from Juan was terrible. Went for a business lunch on Tuesday 1/30. Server didn't bring my soup but brought others' soup and salads. He disappeared and we couldn't ask him to bring soup. We finally found him and he said he forgot. Next thing we know, our entrees had arrived. Soup arrived 5 min later. Drink refills went unnoticed. Server only came to table after that for check. Worst service I have ever had at this place. Someone needs to work with this waiter as we weren't asking for anything special, just basic service. I have been to this location several times and haven't had this issue.
After dining at this restaurant and having terrible service from the wine tasting to dinner, we had a pleasant experience. I like to think that the calls I made to complain were really heard. We would come back here again. Just keep up the good work and make sure this restaurant keeps up the good work.
We met at this Cooper’s Hawk since it was in the area. I usually go to So Barrington location. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Our server was very friendly, and offered us a taste of the wine of the month. Potstickers are delicious there. I chose steak and it was cooked perfectly. Pair it with Mary’s potatoes and it was a fabulous meal.
