Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Arlington Heights
Need to book at 9:45 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Serve Robin was AMAZING!!!!!! Very fast food came to our table hot! The best service hands down!
Great food and amazing wine. We come here every time we are in Chicago.
We have eaten at Cooper's Hawk before and it didn't disappoint. We had a wonderful time. The service and food was great.
Went primarily for wine tasting, which was a lot of fun. Tom is a congenial and knowledgable bartender. Had a light meal afterward which was yummy.
The restaurant has such a high noise level and it’s not ambience it’s refractory noise, which will heighten anxiety for anyone with a hearing problem or central auditory processing disorders. Which btw is a much larger portion of the population than is known. When I ask friends to go eat at CH they regularly say it’s “way too noisy”
Always one of our favorite places.
Eating here is becoming the worlds longest meals. I asked if we could maybe remove some of the layers of complication to keep the meal moving, as the birthday gal wasn't feeling the greatest, and we almost canceled our reservation.
1st they NEVER read the notes left on an open table reservation, so saying we need a gluten free menu and it's a birthday, wine club members won't matter, no one reads it.
2nd they can't just bring out what you ask for in a timely manner, the waitress will have to make 3-4 trips, always run off before you can ask questions. "Do you want appetizers?" "No...." BAM She's gone, well just because I don't want appetizers I might like to order my meal?!?! Despite asking for gluten free bread and ordering off the gluten free menu, she seemed baffled that one diner wasn't eating the cake, we brought, as if you read it, it wasn't gluten free. Even that, she brought the cake, we sang happy birthday and had to wait for her to come back, get the cake, take it back, cut it, bring pieces out, after we had waited for her to bring plates, then take them back, then bring out plates with the cake. Usually they do the smart thing, and bring us a knife so we can get this going. Our 6:30 reservation was late, and we were some of the last people in the dinning room when we left. Despite no appetizers or soup/salad, it felt like forever for dinner.
My dinner, the bbq porkchop was excellent although I substituted Mary's potatoes for thr spicy ones and had garlic green beans in place of kale. My wife's grouper was very bland although the sides were fine.
Staff does amazing accommodating food allergies
Was a great spot to celebrate our Anniversary. Great food and service. Very accommodating to our needs.
As wine club members for many years, we frequently dine at Cooper's Hawk restaurants. This is the second time we have been to this location and just have not had a great experience. We had a 4:00 pm reservation and the hostess asked us to wait 15 minutes for a table because they had servers coming on shift that had not been assigned an area (does that mean poor planning/scheduling?) and they were not sure where they could seat us. There were lots of open tables, just not organized well. Another party of 4 arrived just after us with a 4:00 pm reservation and they were told they had to wait as well.
As for the server, I ordered a sample of wine and that came after a long while but she then took beverage orders for the other 2 people at my table and never asked what I would like to have. A glass of wine would have tasted better than the water I had to drink. She raced by our table several times after that but only paused for 15 seconds to say "everything okay " and never waited for an answer.
The other locations will probably get more of our business.
We are wine members so we go to different location, and wanted to go to the one near our home for my birthday. Well on the way to the restaurant we got delayed due to an accident on the road. The rest of my family 3 others were there when we arrived.
We were sitting for almost 20 minutes before our server came. Ok maybe he didn’t notice us that’s fine. So we order our food, my shrimp were over cooked. I was hungry so I ate them. The wrong order came for my daughter, and by the time her food arrived, most of us were almost done eating. We all chipped in and gave her some of what we were having. The reason I gave the score that I did. I think out of all the times we’ve gone to and the different locations. This could have been the first time things didn’t go perfectly. So in my book, that’s a nice record.
Have dined here many times, however, the experience was an unpleasant one. The server seemed distracted and even brought my friend who is vegetarian an entree with steak. She did not write anything down and was less than apologetic. I am a wine club meme we but very unhappy with the outcome.
Ordered the braised short ribs for the first time and it was outstanding. Will definitely order it again.
Wine tasting was wonderful. Steak was juicy and delicious. Dessert was fruitfully outstanding. Loved every part of our date with my wife.
Food and service were outstanding. Can't wait for the Morton Grove location to open!
Unfortunately it was one wrong thing after another. There were missed appetizers and wrong entrees.
Service has been lacking the last few visits, but food is still the same
the food was delicious per usual. the waiter was not very good or attentive tho. had to ask several times for things.
An enjoyable experience as always.
Service was impeccable.
Food was delicious and the wine well..
Fabulous. The room is kind of noisy though
Had great service and great food. I had the February lunch special "short rib mac n cheese" and it was delicious! My husband had the short rib grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup and he loved his too. We had the Caspana wine of the month to make it even better!
We had great food! Excellent wine! Fantastic Conversation! Will continue to go back.
I have been a wine club member for 10 years, and frequent the restaurant. I always have great service and enjoyed the monthly wines. However, I have noticed in the last year the service has been hit or miss at several of the locations. My last experience at the AH location was horrible. Our waiter was friendly and attentive when we first got there. By the end of the night his attitude totally changed. He disappeared and we had to ask someone to find him. Also, he gave us our check without asking for my wine club card. I had a reward on it. When I told him that he seemed annoyed. He took forever to fix our check and didn't even do it correctly. We had to ask the manager for help, and the manager didn't even apologize for the mistake. This is not the service I expect from Cooper's Hawk. I am hoping this doesn't continue- or I will stop going.
