Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Arlington Heights
My friend and I enjoyed our evening of wine and appetizers at Cooper’s Hawk. My friend has gluten dietary restrictions and the chef was able to accommodate those needs with the sashimi appetizer. Well done!
Service was good but could have been better. Food was great and so was wine
There is a lot to like about Cooper's Hawk, especially if you are a wine fan. From that standpoint, it is an energetic, lively atmosphere for getting together with your wine friends and have a great time. From a dinner standpoint, they operationally fail mightily. Fully realizing we may have caught them on an off-night (although this isn't the first operational complaint I've seen), the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was uber-pleasant so I'm not sure how much she had to do with it, but they totally failed on the little things: slow to get order, slow to refill water, slow in getting drink orders (okay, this is a big problem and one that is costing them money in the long run), slow to check on us, and on and on. While my wife's salmon was very good according to her, my pork chop was very overcooked, and I cannot help but think it was due to speed of service. As my wife reminder me, in a high-volume operation, it's hard to see where it breaks down, but it felt like the answer was--everywhere. No water, sloooow drinks, inattentive service, even at a fairly reasonable price point, there are just too many options to select Coopers. Do yourself a favor and go to their wine shop, buy a couple of bottles, and eat elsewhere.
Great food, great service. Only problem is that is was very noisy and hard to hear conversation at our own table.
No matter what location, Coopers Hawk NEVER disappoints! One of my favorite places to go only it's pretty pricey.
Great for special occasions, Birthday’s anniversaries etc
Great atmosphere, service, drinks and food!
Our server wasn’t very good. She never checked on us after our food was delivered which she didn’t even do.
Fantastic service at our table and wine tasting. Wonderful evening, getting together with friends we don't see often, they didn't rush us at all on a Saturday night. Food was delicious as well!!
Son visiting from out of town
The wine tasting, the food the service at Cooper’s hawk Arlington Heights is always the best
Great appetizers and entrees. Desserts are less than mediocre!
Had better experiences this was a Thursday night and we had to wait 30 minutes for our table beyond our reservation. Once we sat down it took another 10 to 15 minutes before we even got water
It was my first time coming to this place, every one there have good customer service and you fell real welcome. Also our server was attentive at all time and was very helpful.
Food was not good. I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and I got the wrong dish it had chicken in it. The waiter insisted I got the correct dish and they just forgot the shrimp even though it did not say on the menu there was chicken in the dish I ordered. He brought some shrimp on the side. I didn’t care for the dish that I didn’t order at all. My son had s prime rib sandwich he didn’t like. We all had a ton of food on our plates and he asked if we wanted it to go and we all said no. You would think he would have asked us if we didn’t like it. Wine is great but food needs a huge improvement and service needs to be improved. We spent $250 for four definitely not worth it.
Wine and food was excellent! Waitress was awesome with assistance when we needed it.
Opted for appetizers and wine. Everything really good! Mexican Drunken Shrimp, Over the Border egg rolls and Carne Assad flatbread were all yummy choices!
Food was excellent as always, waitress was not up on her bar service and bartender was a bit lacking.
Our server was very helpful and upbeat. Never made us feel rushed but always taken care of. The food is fantastic as usual and the wine was not only reasonably priced but also delicious made the night. Would come for the food but stay a very long time to enjoy the wine.
Slow service by wait staff which is not the norm. Food and wine were good as usual.
We brought friends for wine tasting at Cooper's Hawk and decided to have dinner, despite being disappointed the last time we ate here. We all ordered the special, parmesan encrusted shrimp scampi. We were totally disappointed again. the shrimp were not parmesan crusted but had a dab of green sauce on them which tasted like pesto. Shrimp scampi is my favorite dish and this was a very poor version of it. So from now on we will wine taste here but eat elsewhere.
Fun and great wine!
As usual, our waiter, Mark did a phenomenal job. The food was delicious and we can't say enough about how much we enjoy the Calamari as an appetizer. We have eaten at four different locations and have always had a great experience. I highly recommend Cooper's Hawk for any occasion. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and just life in general while eating dinner or enjoying a wine tasting!
Not impressed. Service was good. Food was cold and not edible. Pasta tasted like eating a salt shaker. $75 later all got tossed. Would not recommend food.
Marco was our server and he made our experience outstanding. we were there with another couple and it was their first time at a Coopers Hawk. They were very impressed with EVERYTHING. I would like to give a shout out to Brittney the manager. Great job.
Great service and our food was outstanding
Cooper's Hawk is one of my favorite restaurants. Our appetizer and meals were delicious. Our server was attentive and we never had to ask for a drink refill. Dessert was delightful! We had plenty of time to chat and enjoy the evening. I never felt rushed or ignored. Another great time at Cooper's Hawk!
Great food and awesome drinks for a reasonable price!
Food was amazing and service was great! Miguel did an awesome job listening and recommending items based on the types of things we were looking for! I will definitely be back!
Nice dinner with my wife, expectations were exceeded
Everything was near perfect except for a couple of hiccups, one being we had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time due to the restaurant being so packed. I was shocked how busy it was due to it being on a Wednesday. We had a table next to us that was extremely loud nothing so bad though that it really ruined the experience of the dining. The food was absolutely fantastic and the price of everything for how much we ate and drank was not bad at all.
Great service. Delicious food!!
Service was outstanding during our lunch! Meals hit the mark (as customary here) and will keep coming back.
The food is good; the drinks are great and the value is good as well. My big issue is the layout of the dining area causes it to be extremely noisy and it is difficult to talk. Further, my wife complains of a cool down draft which requires her to wear a shawl. Clearly these two issues do not make it a pleasant dining experience.
Not sure what happened today, but they were out of tuna so I opted in for the salmon. It was over cooked and had a very bad fishy taste that it wasn’t even edible. Being on a business lunch I didn’t want to make a big deal about it. Seems like the staff was in training mode so hopefully a fluke.
I have eaten at several Cooper's Hawk locations. Each visit has been pleasurable. This one was no exception.
Food is always amazing. They need to change up the menu!
Great food and overall experience. Our waitress was very helpful. Really, my only complaint is that my son was encouraged to swap out his regular side for fries that he didn’t really want. I know the waitress was trying to be helpful, but he was confused by her question and the choices the other kids at the table got. I loved my enchiladas
Every time I go there I have a wonderful experience. I have introduced cooperhawks to several of my friends and they agree.
The appetizers and entrees are superb. However, their desserts are mediocre...the banana pudding was horrible!!! The passables are the key lime pie and chocolate cake...that’s it!!!
