Great food. Great staff. Welcoming manager. We’ll be back.
This place is amazing. The staff is incredible. The manager gave us a free cheese board just because we were so excited to visit for the first time. Drinks were great. Highly recommend.
The staff were all exceptional and the drinks were fantastic as well. Great experience and would highly recommend.
My friend and I went to Cooperage for Philly Wine Week. It was our first time there. The manager was extremely nice and came over several times to our table to make sure everything was okay. Extremely quick service. The wine and chocolate pairing was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Definitely will go back again!
Great food and great service. Went during happy hour when it was packed. Still got a table and could still easily hold a conversation without having to yell. Great gem of a spot.
I always love the wine flight and the cheese board! Our waitress went out of her way to explain the menu and cheeses to us. She was wonderful and so was our whole Cooperage experience. Would recommend this for a cute date night!
I had a great burger. The service was attentive and friendly. They had a few specials to choose from and standard pub fare. Exactly what we were expecting!! Great experience!
Great place! .
Wanting to get a quick dinner before the theater, I made reservations on open table. We arrived 20 minutes late due to traffic but the hostess couldn’t have been sweeter. She immediately showed us to our table. Our server, Ha, assured us that we would have enough time to eat and make it to the theater on time. She was right! My fiancé and I had a few drinks and our meals were from the “theater” menu. The crab chowder was delicious and loaded with crab. The salmon with mushroom cream sauce was equally delicious. We even had time for the chocolate board dessert and coffee. I’ve recommended Cooperage to my theater friends and am eager to try other items on the menu. The theater menu is genius! Thanks for an enjoyable dining experience!
I’ve been to cooperage many times but wanted my fiancé to experience it for her 30th birthday weekend. We both love bourbon so this was a real treat for her. As usual the food was amazing and the drinks matched. The restaurant was even nice enough to accommodate my party that had grown by four since I booked my reservation. Highly recommended!
Customer service was great, staff were welcoming, and the food was delicious! It was refreshing to have such a nice dining experience. I definitely plan to return soon!
First visit to celebrate an employee completing her masters. Friendly hostess and server.
Placed our order - simple, 1 soup, 2 sandwhiches and a grilled chicken ceaser salad. Unfortunately instead of an order for a salad being put in the order was for chicken pot pie. While mix ups happen waiting 20 mintues for someone to correc the mistake was just too long. Our hot sandwhiches arrived with cold fries so we asked for hot fired. Sadly while we patiently waited for everyone to have a meal before eating by the time the salad arrived our hot sandwhiches were cold. On the plus size even cold the sandwhich was tasty so I'm sure it would have been delicious hot. We were given hot fires when the salad arrived so they too were very tasty.
I did appreciate the salad being taken off of the bill. What would have been more favorable was when we pointed out the mixup in the order over a 10 minute period 3 people questioned us on our order and the chichken pot pie was brought to the table twice as if we were supposed to change our mind. I just felt that the mix up was made into a big issue by the restaurant staff rather then just correcting the mistake promptly.
Music way to loud for lunchtime and could not hear people at table!
Great burger. Bar service was excellent but service was less efficient when we were taken to a table and it took a while to get our food. Never got my french fries.
Had a great time at Cooperage. I went there for drinks after dinner because I heard that they had great cocktails... I was not disappointed at all. I see many more visits in my future. Next time I will try the food.
We wanted to eat somewhere near the Walnut Street Theater and saw Cooperage. We're glad we went. The food was really good and the pricing very reasonable for center city. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It's a creative use of space in the wonderful Curtis building. We'll be back the next time we go to the Walnut.
Nice place. Good food, large whiskey selection, excellent service. I had a burger - excellent flavor. My wife got a veggie burger - really liked it.
My wife and I are there before a show at the Walnut theater. Good beer a whiskey selection. Service was prompt and friendly. Will go again
We’ve been here several times. I ranked the noise level very high which is how it always seems. Not sure if it’s he acoustics or if people who go there are just very noisy. Lol. It’s not a problem for us but could be for others. Thanks!
Made reservation through OpenTable. Upon arrival at noon our group was seated right away. Menu is not deep but has a little of everything (sandwiches, burgers, salads). Service was very good and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Restaurant has a festive atmosphere and was decorated for Halloween.
Great and quick. Burger was fantastic
The food was a fairly decent and a good value however the service was extremely poor . There was a server who had no idea what was going on. I most likely will not done here again!
Great casual place with large selection of whiskey and wine. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was very attentive with an aim to please the customer. Looking forward to returning.
STAFF IS ALWAYS KIND AND CONSISTENT. MANAGER (KEVIN) IS ENTHUSIASTIC AND INVOLVED. ALWAYS AT THE DOOR TO SAY HELLO. A GREAT PLACE TO GET A BITE AFTER WORK OR A DRINK LATER IN THE EVENING.
food was execellent, quick & friendly service ! highly recommend !!!
Great vibe and amazing service. The food was really good and the selection of drinks was awesome!
We went as a small group and sat at the bar for after dinner drinks. We all had a fantastic experience. The bartenders were extremely eager to please and very knowledge
LOVE LOVE LOVE this spot. i usually sit outside if its not sweltering. they have the BEST happy hour. i took a friend that has never been there. she didnt even know that this spot existed. she LOVED her food & her & the waitress hit it off (both Temple-ites). i go there often. the food is yummy - loved that pork sandwich & the happy hour drinks!!! check it out. its in the beautiful Curtis Center. if you can look at the mural on the other side of the building on the inside.
The Cooperage is just a short walk from my office, and that's the main reason we go there. That being said, service is always slow (not the servers, but the length of time it takes to get the food to the table), so we could probably walk somewhere farther away and still get back to the office in an hour. The food is good and fresh (I'll admit that may be part of the reason for the slowness), a bit overpriced, I think, but it is in Old City, so probably to be expected. On this visit, one at our table didn't receive the beverage they had ordered and it had to be asked for a second time. This was one of the slower days I've been there, so the noise level was moderate, but I've been there several times when it's difficult to hear conversation at your own table because the noise level is so loud.
The food was boring, and they need an updated menu.
This was the second visit
And better than the first
The food was decent
And reasonable
It's a place I'd return to
We had two soups, a large salad and a pork sandwich. The chicken noodle soup was excellent but was warm but not hot. The chicken corn chowder was cold to lukewarm and had the consistency of a chicken pot pie. OK but it would have been better if served hot. The spinach salad was excellent. The sandwich was OK but was a little dry in places. My suggestion is go for happy hour and drink and eat snacks. Great beer.
My wife and I chose a great place for a drink last friday evening before attending the theatre. We had been there twice before but only for a drink. I now know that the Cooperage has a great happy hour, both the bar and the restaurant area were crowded but the noise level was ok. The food was delicious, our waitress was very attentive coming by several times to make certain our drinks were replenished. I will certainly be coming back to this restaurant again in the future.
Mom's food. Seasonal menue.
Taste good. Fast service.
Great spot for mid-day or after work meetup. Great location for late night cocktail. The staff is kind and attentive to detail.
Went there for Philadelphia wine week because it was listed on the website. Once there we learned that they didn't have any wine specials.
The staff were nice and our food came out quickly. My friend ordered the calamari and eggplant parmesan. I had the chicken nachos. My friend said his food was oily. I didn't have any complaints, initially. Some thing must have been wrong because the food did not agree with my body. Immediately after leaving restaurant I had to return to the hotel because I became sick to my stomach. In hind site my nachos were oily but I didn't think much of it. I wouldn't return to cooperage.
Fun atmosphere! Enjoyed our flights of wine and whiskey. Great way to sample many options. The chicken on my Chicken Caesar salad was very good, but I didn't care for the Caesar dressing - a little too bland. Try a sandwich instead.
Food and drinks were really good. Service was terrible.
The food was good and service was terrific! Empty on a Saturday afternoon.
Two negatives: There was an awful smell in the restaurant (probably from work done in the building).
Our waitress was attentive at first but service fell off after entree
