Cooperage Inn Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I have been going to the cooperage for many years. It is a cozy, country restaurant with delicious comfort food, well at least it was. The prices went up and the food quality down. We were very disappointed. The bill came out to $150 before tip for 3 entrees and 3 glasses of wine. With mediocre food this was robbery! The service was good though.
The food was exquisite. The service was excellent- friendly, prompt, accurate and accommodating. My family came for our annual Christmas lunch with my dad. Cooperage was wheelchair accessible, which made my father feel welcome and at ease. We’ll be coming back frequently!
First time to cooperage inn and we loved it! Stopped by after shopping all day at the outlets and we each had the chicken pot pie which was amazingly delicious! Haven't stopped thinking about it we also each had a glass of really good local white wine which was great as well our server was the best! I think her name was Julia? She was friendly personable and knowledgeable we will most definitely be back it's our new go to place!
Went to the Cooperage Inn for a very special occasion and I was not disappointed. The Blackfish special was delicious and my very good friend who has dietary issues had a wonderful dinner thanks to the Cooperage's gluten-free menu. Would recommend this restaurant and I will be going back.
I always enjoy the Cooperage Inn. The service as usual was great and attentive. However, I was disappointed that we were served cold hard rolls and my chicken francaise was not tender and much too lemony. Aside from that, it was very enjoyable and the ambiance is always welcoming.
Never having been there before, I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is welcoming, the service top notch, and the food was delicious. My friend and I had the pan seared cod and as much as I like it, and have it often, I have to say that that cod was the best I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. After we finished our meal we did not get the impression that we needed to "move on" so that the table could be occupied again. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience.
This was my fourth visit to this establishment. The food is homey overall with some variations to keep things interesting. The prix fixe lunch is a good value with almost no upcharge (just one or two exceptions).
I started with the eggplant fries, sticks of eggplant nicely breaded and seasoned, and deep fried. They were addictive. They were served with a fresh tomato sauce for dipping. My friend ordered the soup of the day, a shrimp gumbo; she was very disappointed. It was watery and not very flavorful. The shrimp were minuscule. The first bread basket brought to the table held two stale rolls. We were hungry, so we asked for a refill when they were gone. This time, the bread basket held four rolls and were fresh. It's a small point, but restaurants should pride themselves on serving the best of everything, always.
I ordered the classic chicken pot pie, a generous dish chock full of chicken pieces, a few veggies, and topped with a delicious crust. My friend ordered the roast salmon, also a very generous dish, and she was not disappointed. We both went home with leftovers. Coffee and dessert are included in the prix fixe offering. I opted for the apple bread pudding, as comforting as it sounds. It was delicious, the well-spiced apples tender, and the bread had turned into a fabulous, custardy base. My friend ordered the coconut cream pie, a wedge that would have been enough for two. It, too, was delicious.
Service was professional but not once did the waitress ask how our meals were. It's a small quibble but it is indicative of a certain lack of interest for feedback to the kitchen.
I went to the Cooperage Inn with about 24 other ladies...the entire staff was efficient, friendly, very accommodating. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and very decorative. A very pleasant experience was had by all. Would definitely recommend this place for a great place to dine.
Beautifully decorated venue. we went on ladies "Wednesday" night and they had a price fix meal for $22. found it strange that all you received was an appetizer and entree. if you wanted a dessert it was $3-$5 extra. I ordered the fried calamari on salad for entree. calamari was delicious, the salad, which i didn't touch at restaurant and was wrapped - had to be tossed before i arrived home for it smelled awful in car. friend received a raw pork chop after she was told that their pork chops are cooked to perfection when she inquired when ordering - she had to send back and was munching on my calamari waiting on its return (Hey what are friends for). A manager , i believe that's who he was, kept hovering around our table at the end of the night.............got the impression that they were trying to close.
My party of 6 was happy we had gotten together for dinner. Food was, for the most part delicious. not sure if i would return.
Went for birthday celebration; had reservation for 7 people but table wasn’t ready. Hostess was unfriendly and went back to dining room to request table for 7 set up. The whole point of making a reservation is to have those details prearranged. Once seated the experience was fine; waitress very nice and accommodating, food good for prix fix, and ambiance lovely.
The Cooperage Inn is a true gem! I have been going there for many years, always a pleasure. Not only for dinner with friends, celebrations are handled perfectly. I have celebrated many birthdays there with large groups. The staff from the moment you walk in the door to leaving is on top of their game. The wait and bus staff are always a pleasure.
