Cooperage Inn Restaurant
The name "Cooperage Inn" comes from the craft of coopering, which goes back a few centuries, when it was the major method of packaging. We are located in the Long Island Wine region. Wine makers have always relied on the skills of the Village Cooper to store and age their wines.

Wonderful food. Excellent service. Not inexpensive, but always an enjoyable experience
great service and atmosphere - the food itself is first rate - every course is special
The special lobster clambake was worth the price! Huge portion with array of shellfish. Delicious but messy since buttery sauce filled the plate.
Food and desert excellent as usual. Whomever we take here want to return!
We went to celebrate a birthday. Ambience is that of an old Inn. Wait staff was very friendly and provided great service throughout the meal. Bread and butter came out right away and there was a nice variety to choose from. They offered to refill our basket which we gladly took them up on. Meal didn’t feel rushed which was nice since we were there to enjoy the dinner, not just eat and go. Everyone enjoyed their meals (duck, pasta dish, meatloaf, pork chop, steak...all quite good). Ordered a creme brûlée which was a good size and the ice cream with chocolate shell and both were shared and enjoyed. They brought one of the desserts out with a candle for the birthday girl which was a nice touch. We live 1/2 hour from there so not a place we’d go to often, but we all agreed we will definitely return and it’s a nice option for a special occasion.
The clam bake is a summertime favorite. Always consistently good food here. Not cheap, but you get your moneys worth.
Every time I go the quality of everything is always great I always recommend this to everyone.
First time here. Very impressed. Food delicious, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Food and service were very good. I am not sure why open table points did not apply. Might have something to do with lady’s night?
This place is a gem! Food was excellent. We went two-way days in a row and both meals and service were great. Highly recommend this place and use open table to make the reservation
Everything excellent as usual. However was not a fan of the baked potato.
Excellent service by Kim. I would definitely go back. The one thing that bothered me was bread upon request. You always have a great bread basket.
Was with 6 people. I ordered the paella. Was the worst I have ever had.
Rice was brown, and there was a strong smell of a spice I did not recognize.
Was not saffron
Would not order again
went with my husband and another couple. We usually meet there a few times a year. All of us enjoyed our entrees and dessert. We will definitely be back again.
Local restaurant that serves outstanding meals with friendly staff for an ejoyable evening
Took my 91 year old mom there along with my mother-in-law, wife, and daughter for lunch. Food and service was exceptional.
Our waiter Tony was very attentive and personable.
Food and menu in general was excellent. Service was fine until the end of the meal when it was time to choose desert and get our bill. This ruined the experience. Service is as important as the meal. We did not have desert and left unhappy.
overall great experience
One of the best restraurants on LI. We have dined here several times and we were NEVER disappointed. Service is always excellent and the food absolutely the BEST!
Good food and atmosphere. Sometimes the kitchen can get backed up. The service is mostly on point. Can get spotty if in a room where the server has too many tables. The owner is a sweetheart. Overall it's a great place to dine out in.
Great food and service from Dan.
Amazing seafood dinners! great service! The one man band was amazing!! A must go to when out on the North fork!!
Broad menu selection, excellently prepared. Attentive service. What else is there to say!
Delicious food as always and a courteous, attentive waiter made for a wonderful dinner.
One loud obnoxious group arrived but quieted down once they started eating, or maybe someone spoke to them. If they kept it up my meal would’ve been ruined.
We have been to the Cooperage a few times but this time we brought friends and it did not disappoint. Took advantage of the Fri 1/2 price wine special. Nice to see great local wines on that menu.
Great dining experience. The atmosphere is welcoming the staff friendly and accommodating.
We like the restaurant a lot. This evening 3 of 4 had the large rib eye steak. All 3 were cooked perfectly BUT were very tough and chewy. Everything otherwise was fine.
Meals at Cooperage, whether in the main dining room or in the bar (pub), are always good. There is always a good choice of items.
Always a good meal. Lots to choose from.
Went with friends who were in from Germany and they enjoyed the food, atmosphere and they even had a German beer that they LOVE. Service by Danielle was fantastic and everything came to the table on time and warm. Never felt rushed and the prices were very affordable.
Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic restaurant! Food & service both outstanding. Highly recommend!
Great food and great service! The Cooperage Inn always is a wonderful place to share an outstanding meal with friends.
Great ambiance, delicious food. The wait staff was very attentive. The live music was a nice touch too.
Had a reservation for four people but had another couple join us and it took about 45 minutes to seat us. Food was fair.
Great food, great wait staff, nice atmosphere, priced right for the food and the experience.
Recently visited Cooperage with god friends to celebrate a special birthday. We did call ahead for a reservation, although it was a weeknight and tables were available to someone who just walked in without a reservation. Weekends would be a must for a reservation! The service was top-notch, very attentive waiter Dan and support staff kept us very satisfied. The menu was extensive, with prix fixed menu selections available the evening we visited. Our party of four, however, all ordered from the creative menu.
We all enjoyed the location of our table, the ambiance, the helpful waiter was not pesty but very available to us during the meal. He explained the dishes on the menu and was pleasant in his chatter.
We all agreed we would return.
VERY ACCOMMODATING TO OUR REQUEST FOR A CERTAIN TABLE. FOOD IS ALWAYS CONSISTENTLY GOOD. "SPECIAL" DESSERT (homemade Linzer-tart à la mode ) WAS OUTSTANDING!
I took friends new to the area. They loved the food and liked the ambiance. It's my first choice of local restaurants when friends visit from out of town. I have never been disappointed.
Server was great. Food was very good.
Pleasant meal with fast early dinner service (6pm). Enjoyed the food. Decor is outdated, but suited the other guests. Not a very young crowd.
