Cooperage Inn Restaurant
The name "Cooperage Inn" comes from the craft of coopering, which goes back a few centuries, when it was the major method of packaging. We are located in the Long Island Wine region. Wine makers have always relied on the skills of the Village Cooper to store and age their wines.

We had a great time at your Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious, we walked out of there stuffed to the gills and didnt have enough room to sample everything we wanted to. We will definitely go back again.
Prixe fix lunch is an incredible deal considering the quality and quantity of food provided. Highly recommend the flat iron steak and chicken pot pie! And the chocolate cappuccino cake is delicious
Didn’t love the sweet potatoes that was smoked Crab cake had too much fill and could use more crab meat
Our server was wonderful
Always a delight for friends to get together and Chat!
Old friends got together. I suggested the Cooperage because it is consistently good. The food was great. I'll be going back next Saturday with a party of 11. I know it will be great, as always.
Great service. Exceptional dinner. Bringing the rest of the family!
great food; wonderful service; recommend highly; the atmosphere is pleasing and relaxing
Could not have been more satisfied with this restaurant. Service was excellant not rushed but attentive. Our waitress attended our every need on the spot. Food was some of the freshed salads perfectly cooked veggies and our steaks where cooked to perfection. Never been more happy with any restaurant anywhere on long island. You've made us a steady customer for good for any occasion. Thank you all for such an enjoyable evening for our 48th anniversary
Love this place and always bring
Home pumpkin bread and the house salad dressing. It’s a must.
My husband and I had a wonderful date night here on 9/1/18. The food was absolutely delicious! My appetizer was the seafood bisque, and it was the best bisque I've ever had. My husband had their special appetizer of scallops, and he was raving about how fantastic they were! I had the lamb for dinner, which I felt could've been seasoned a little more, but they were cooked perfectly and the veggies & mashed potatoes were great. My husband's entree was the rib eye and not only did they cook it perfectly, but the flavor was great! Our desserts didn't disappoint, either-I had the delicious creme brulee & my husband had the special of peach melba, with local peaches.
The service was great, too, our waitress was very professional & friendly. The only thing that neither of us appreciated was the fact that while we were waiting to be seated (we had a reservation, but we arrived early), members of the restaurant staff kept coming up to the Maitre D podium to vent or speak with the front of the house manager. I understand what it's like to work in a service field, as I work full time in the service industry as well, but things like this should happen in a private staff only area, not in front of guests looking to have a nice night out.
We definitely had a wonderful night out to ourselves at the Cooperage Inn and will be back for another scrumptious meal!
We had reservations for a birthday celebration on Sunday. Didn't realize it would be brunch. Was so disappointed as I had wanted to order the chicken pot pie. No reason to be disappointed. Cooperage had mini-pot pies and everything else I wanted to order, their Waldorf Salad, Special Cooperage salad, rigatoni ala vodka, wonderful vegetables, a carving station, wonderful light and delicious waffles and many, many desserts to die for! It was truly the best birthday celebration. And Janet, the server was outstanding. Thank you.
Great music and fireplace outside...food is very good and dan our waiter was great ...will definitely be back
Never disappointed with our experience here. That's why we always return. Great food, great service!
Excellent food and generous portions
I've dined here many times. Always a great meal. This visit was on a Wednesday in the summer so the place wasn't as busy. Very quiet and pleasant. Started with the Cooperage salad with is always terrific. My main course was the cod special, blackened. It was excellent. North Fork wine. perfect meal.
ALWAYS AWESOME!!! Beautiful restaurant, great customer service and amazing food.
Have been here many times. Consistently good food and service. Have never been disappointed. Highly recommend
My friends and I had a wonderful lunch at the Cooperage. When friends visit from out of town, I always make reservations at the Cooperage. The food is always consistently good. Friends love the ambiance, too.
This place is my go to place and have been going for YEARS!! Food is always excellent, the service is great and you can’t beat the price for what you get! Always an enjoyable time here
The live entertainer “one man show Joe”(?) was excellent!!
Our favorite restaurant. It never disappoints! Lobster bake is a terrific deal.
We celebrated my niece’s birthday after a day at the wineries. A perfect way to end a beautiful day out east!
The Inn is very worn and dated, but the food is very good and the wait staff professional and friendly.
Server seemed a little inexperienced, did not mention seasonal fruit crisp or offer fresh ground pepper. We overheard another server doing exactly that
Waitress service was poor. Overcharged for a bottle of wine. Made up some story that the bill would not have gone through with the over charge. We laughed and said, "Really, here is the final bill you gave. If we left cash, were you going to run after us?" Service from her was poor.
Price is average for brunch buffet. Food is good and varied. Service was totally inattentive which is inexcusable given what little they need to do. Could not get coffee without repeatedly waiting and flagging someone down.
Consistently great food and service. Love the chicken pot pie!
I’ve been to the Cooperage Inn before and it’s a lovely restaurant. The food and service were good but we were overcharged. We did not bother disputing the bill but if it happens again I’ll address the issue with management.
Wonderful food. Excellent service. Not inexpensive, but always an enjoyable experience
great service and atmosphere - the food itself is first rate - every course is special
The special lobster clambake was worth the price! Huge portion with array of shellfish. Delicious but messy since buttery sauce filled the plate.
Food and desert excellent as usual. Whomever we take here want to return!
We went to celebrate a birthday. Ambience is that of an old Inn. Wait staff was very friendly and provided great service throughout the meal. Bread and butter came out right away and there was a nice variety to choose from. They offered to refill our basket which we gladly took them up on. Meal didn’t feel rushed which was nice since we were there to enjoy the dinner, not just eat and go. Everyone enjoyed their meals (duck, pasta dish, meatloaf, pork chop, steak...all quite good). Ordered a creme brûlée which was a good size and the ice cream with chocolate shell and both were shared and enjoyed. They brought one of the desserts out with a candle for the birthday girl which was a nice touch. We live 1/2 hour from there so not a place we’d go to often, but we all agreed we will definitely return and it’s a nice option for a special occasion.
The clam bake is a summertime favorite. Always consistently good food here. Not cheap, but you get your moneys worth.
Every time I go the quality of everything is always great I always recommend this to everyone.
First time here. Very impressed. Food delicious, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Food and service were very good. I am not sure why open table points did not apply. Might have something to do with lady’s night?
This place is a gem! Food was excellent. We went two-way days in a row and both meals and service were great. Highly recommend this place and use open table to make the reservation
Everything excellent as usual. However was not a fan of the baked potato.
