Cooperage Inn Restaurant
The name "Cooperage Inn" comes from the craft of coopering, which goes back a few centuries, when it was the major method of packaging. We are located in the Long Island Wine region. Wine makers have always relied on the skills of the Village Cooper to store and age their wines.
This was the fourth time I attended the Sunday Brunch at Cooperage Inn, and I know I'll be returning again. The food is excellent, and a very large selection. Our waitress was friendly, fun, and helpful throughout our meal. I highly recommend the Sunday Brunch at Cooperage Inn.
Great food and service in a beautiful venue.
Charming atmosphere and varied menu. Good appetizers and generous portions. A bit too much bbq sauce on the chicken and ribs but that is a personal preference. Like that they offer half portions of some items - wish they did this for more of the menu offerings.
We have Been to the restaurant many times and have held three special occasions with large guest lists in the past. We have always been pleased.
Our visit yesterday was no exception.
However the noise level was quite elevated and there were small children running unattended in the dining room.
I would recommend the Cooperage for any small or medium sized group.
The food is of high quality and the service is exceptional.
Love this place good food nice wait staff nice atmosphere.
Once again Cooperage Inn did not disappoint!
The food and service was 1st class, and we will return again.
Kudos to our waitress, Dena, for great service
I had the plank steak ,it was served nicely over garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was done perfectely medium rare ,tender and juicy. The glaze was very flavorful.
The service was very good , ambiance perfect .
I will return and bring friends
Great service, great food, cute place! Definitely worth the visit.
Comp mimosa with brunch and of course coffee! Definitely plan to visit again.
We went here for my boyfriend's Birthday to kick of a 3 day celebration I planned and my only disappointment (which isn't really a disappointment) was that the carving station was only turkey - which my boyfriend unfortunately isn't a fan of. I was hoping for some other type of meat!
For the price though and all else considering - can't say that it is really a let down just more of a personal preference!
Will definitely return!
We have always been happy with dinners at the Cooperage. Foods is well prepared, delivered to the table hot and always appealing.
Excellent! Always a great dinner decision. The fish specials are to die for!
Very pleasant. Salad was delicious, service exceptional as waitress was attentive, pleasant and very much ‘on her game’. Obviously an experienced server.
We waited 20 minutes and no one came to help us. A waitress tried to deliver someone else's drinks to us. When we asked her if we have a waitress because we have waited so long we were told that she was very busy and had 10 tables and would be over whenever she was done. Muscles appetizer was good but baked clams were tasteless and menu said 6 clams but we got 4. Salad was classic salad. Then we waited a long time for our dinner to come out and when it did my friends seafood dish was ice cold. He sent it back and said he didn't want it. The waitress apologized and said she would send the manager over. About 10 minutes later some woman came over and says did someone want to see a manager . I told her what had happened and she didn't say much. She came back a few minutes later and told us she checked the time in the kitchen and that we only waited 53 minutes between our salad and main course. We won't be back.
Very nice place. Great waitress. Comfy unique spot.
We took friends to dinner and we had a wonderful time! Great food and great music!
This by far the best restaurant in Long Island from the personal to the food to the value. We go to Cooperage at least 3 times a month.
Food was great ,service good, great prefixed menu
I will definitely be back! The food was amazing. It was cozy and bright inside.
The Food is excellent and our server was great! We got seated right next to the live music which made it extremely loud and hard to chat. I feel like they should ask you if you want to sit there. I didn’t say we didn’t either.
They took almost two hours to bring our dinner. Enough said!
Pleasant surroundings and delicious food. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant
Very quaint, the service was great & the food was outstanding. Key Lime pie was the best I have ever had. Thank you for a great day ❤️👍🏻
Overall quakity of food was not up to level we expect at Cooperage. The salad was limp abd tasteless and Salmon was very bland and meatloaf dry and poor quality. This is first time we have felt this way after many visits but we cant recommend it as it is now
Went to Cooperage with 5 friends on a Wednesday night. Forgot it was ladies night, so the restaurant and bar were packed, but they did offer a very good priz fix dinner. We were seated at a lovely table, but the service was a bit slow. Waited about a half hour for our order to be taken. Food arrived promptly. All very good. We had the salmon, flat iron steaks, a chicken dish and the pork chop. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. We were then given the dessert menus, and we were all going to have dessert and cappuccinos, but after waiting about a half hour for the waitress to come back to take our order ( I think her name was Gabby), we decided it was getting late and we had to leave. Too bad though, because their desserts are delicious. So that was the only down side to the evening. All in all though, we all agreed we would come back on a quieter evening.
Best restaurant especially for a ladies day out, special occasions, etc. Warm and cozy fireplace. It's my favorite restaurant. We went for our 35th Wedding anniversary. I usually go with my kindergarten friends, of 45+ years. Keep up the good work and employing cheerful servers. A+
I always like the Cooperidge Inn, I mostly like the atmosphere. It’s vintage, warm, very comfortable, you feel like you are in someone’s dining room. The brunch is good, there are many choices, however I felt the dessert section could be better. The desserts don’t seem fresh. The omelets are great, the meat is good, could be a little hotter but not bad. Overall a good experience, but not sure I would recommend this place to a real foodie. But it’s a nice place for a decent breakfast. Go with an empty stomach because there is plenty to eat.
I have eaten at The Cooperage many times and it has always been a great time. Tonight I was there for my birthday with my son, daughter in law and three young grandchildren...all boys! We were all treated wonderfully, the children enjoyed their meals very much, as did the adults. Great service.....we were not rushed at all; food, ambience. My review should be five stars! Oh, and the bartender makes an excellent martini. 😊
The food is pretty good but prices are a little high.
They do have happy hour at the bar and at the high top tables. I would say my only issue is you have to double check your bill. Two different times with two different waitresses they have neglected to give us the happy hour prices.
Very disappointed in the menu
I am a vegeatarian and my other guest a vegan. Thought in these days there would be a decent menu to accommodate all.
Very very limiting to us. Not only typical primavera
The food was delicious and plentiful! The service was very good....looking forward to my next brunch at Cooperage!
Loved the restaurant, service was good, food was good. Thought the price of brunch was not worth it. It was very pricey and nothing fancy to warrant the high price.
Love this place. Food is always good. Atmosphere is cozy even though its a fairly large place.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. I have never had a bad meal at the Cooperage.
Food and service is great
Unfortunately every time we go even with a reservation made a week ahead we still had to wait for a table and again the one next to the food which is horrible
Went for Brunch to celebrate a co-workers new job. The food was delicious, lot's of wonderful selections to choose from and very fresh. Dessert was spectacular!! The waitstaff was very attentive and efficient. We had a table right next to the gas fireplace, so the ambience couldn't be beat! will absolutely be back again soon!!
We had a great time. Food was VERY good and the trays were always refulled.
Service and good was excellent. We had a table at 8pm and we were just sitting and talking, finishing our coffee a little after 10pm. That's when the vacuum cleaner came out and we realized that it was time to go.
Reservation was right on time. Server was friendly, knowledgeable and more than friendly. Food and presentation were both excellent. Would highly recommend lunch dinner or brunch.
We sat in a small back room which was quieter than the other larger rooms, but not as cozy. It was like we were banished to a back room.
The food was great. The entrees were expensive, but the quality was very good.
