The food is always good, and Pub Club with Coopers was a great choice for us. I love going to Coopers whenever I can, never had a bad time there.
The Best Poutine in town! Good burgers. Love the atmosphere.
Mistake was made in the bill and even with three people involved they could not figure out how to take a unordered item off the bill.
This is our go-to spot for Girlfriend lunches as it is centrally located and has a great offering - we especially enjoy the Wee Lunch selections. I appreciate the personable hosts and wait staff. Very prompt service.
The wine was great, service was good. Not alot of personality but did exactly what we needed her to do. The food however was not great. The duck seemed more like pork. very firm/fatty/honestly it was a little cold and very chewy? It was a very bizarre version of duck if it was truely duck at all. The chili that my date had before the meal was also luke warm. I was very underwhelmed by the food at this establishment which is a disappointment because the atmosphere and drink were great.
Good spaced out tables. Quiet option for dinner, the staff cared about us.
Had dinner with friends. Our server Wyatt was wonderful. Attentive and patient as the group slowly arrived.
Been there many times and can’t stop going. Server today was excellent, had 8 people in our party and staff were great and food very perfect. Will be there again soon.
Overall a two-star rating based on poor service and mixed quality of the food.
We frequent Went End regularly and hadn't been to Cooper in well over a year, partly due to their limited menu. Multiple previous experiences were positive with excellent preparation of food and good service, After viewing the current menu online, we were looking forward to returning.
Service was initially slow--no waitperson to take our drink order for 10 minutes. Nice beer selection. After ordering food, service was prompt.
The calamari appetizer was disappointing, an obviously frozen preparation of heavily battered processed strips of seafood in contrast to the lightly battered, fresh-tasting rings Cooper previously offered. The side salads were crisp, and two of our four entrees were well-prepared, the American burger and the fish and chips.
The walleye entree was an unusual preparation, pan seared and served on top of a broccoli puree and diced beets, the juice of the beets giving a strange, bloody appearance to the fish (apologies to the squeamish), and topped with what tasted like canned mushrooms--they likely weren't, they just tasted canned. The fish was unseasoned on one half and overly salty on the other.
The chef's special of halibut arrived extremely overcooked. When I told the waitress , she said she would talk to the kitchen and notify the manager. The waitress did not initiate a replacement entree to correct the kitchen's error, and the manager did not come to our table until 20 minutes later, after our table was done eating. He asked if he could bring anything else--far too late to replace the uneaten entree--so he offered a free desert, which we didn't want and declined. The manager seemed indifferent and offer no other solution to satisfy us. Afterwards, the waitress did take the fish off the bill.
We won't return until somethings changes at Cooper--too many other very good options nearby.
We go to Copper often and always have good food. We really like the Wee Lunch. It is very tasty and the perfect size.
Great place, love the food and top notch service. Our server was great and looked after us. Food was hot and not typical Irish pub food
Was there for my birthday. Service was attentive and the food was outstanding! I had the salmon - a unique and delicious preparation. Thank you, Vincent!
Great food and quick friendly service. We met for a cousins dinner and our was easy to set up a reservation even on a Friday evening. Parking was a little difficult.
Cooper Pub was a great place to catch up with two old friends. Location great with free parking and convenient for shopping after. Had the Reuben, beef pie from Wee Menu. Tasty and attractive presentation on an rectangular plate wth greens, potato wedges. Good service and decor. Brought back memories of the Cooper Theater.
The experience at Cooper is always a good one and this weekend we celebrated my birthday with Sunday brunch. The Benedict Hash was inventively prepared and super delicious and the Fish and Chips were amazing as usual. Don't miss a chance to eat there because the service is always as great as the food is.
Loved this place, everyone's food was delicious from the Monte Christo to the Fish n Chips. I also had the Bacon Bloody Mary. The piece of bacon was still warm and was about a 1/2 inch think--delicious! One of my new favorite places, I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.
This was a pleasant place to unwind with friends & have a good meal & glass of wine. :)
We love Cooper Pub and my husband especially likes the fish and chips. The only draw back is the noise level is so high it can be hard to have a conversation.
Wait so long after being seated our lunch took well over 2 hours. Unacceptable.
We got seated right away and service was attentive but not overbearing. We both got the lunch specials and they were tasty and good value for money. Noise level was fine (way better than on a Saturday evening after a movie)
We were at the Cooper for a birthday lunch for our employees. We were seated right away but it took over 5 minutes to be greeted by our server. She seemed to be overwhelmed with tables. She was pleasant and took our orders down properly. Someone else delivered our food. We asked for sweetener for our tea and one of us ended up going to another table to get some. We also waited a long time to be asked for a dessert order. We would of ordered dessert but we ended up on a time crunch and left to get DQ dessert to take back to the office. Part of the group stayed behind and waited for the check. They came back to the office a good 10 minutes after we came back with DQ! I would not recommend this place for a business luncheon. It was not busy but it did not appear to have enough staff for the tables that were there.
We went to cooper's for our anniversary, the waiter was great lots of great suggestions, I like my burgers MR, most places either won't do that or they send it to you MW. Mine was perfect! ! Everything hot and fresh, they didn't serve the appetizers, soup and entree all at the same time like most restaurants. Every thing was timed perfectly.
Had a fabulous lunch. There were 4 of us & everyone was impressed with the lunch choices
Two of us had the garden vegetable omelette & loved it. Our service was excellent & he was very attentive. Can't wait to eat there again when I return to Minneapolis.
Was very disappointing and we probably won't be back. The server only had a couple of tables and appeared to be very frazzled. Food was just ok, nothing memorable. Felt it was slightly expensive for quality.
Enjoyed fish & chips....wonderful server who didn't rush my friend me as we enjoyed lengthy conversation!
The place is totally meh. Soup was salty to the point of being almost inedible. Service was good, though!
I loved the ambiance in Cooper, beautiful and spacious. What I would like to
see change is having softer music plying during the lunch hour when there are
fewer people there. Instrumentals would be nice and classier than pop music.
It was to loud and distracting for conversation since there was a light crowd.
Vincent burger is good (but rich) and the fries are delicious. Good. Monte Cristo.
Food was great and service was good at first. But then the server cleared our table and drinks without offering refills (we weren't drinking alcohol). She made it clear we had overstayed our welcome chatting at the table even though there were open tables and no wait.
I've never been disappointed in the food here until yesterday. Over cooked and over salted chicken and shrimp is awful. Letting someone know while am there doesn't work. Time is important. Let the cook know or go.
Great pub in the west end. The pressure to perform is high for an Irish pub to serve awesome fish and chips. Cooper does not disappoint! Huge slab of hot, crunchy, perfectly fried fish, and big planks of crisp chips. Their tomato soup is my fave, topped with Cooper's toasty cheddar crouton.
And Irish whiskey, too!!
Ever thing was fine ask for out door seating, not sure why the hostess sat us right in the sun with a broken umbrella but our waitress moves us right away. Fun evening
Excellent Service! They did everything right. Food was outstanding. We will be back when we visit Minneapolis to enjoy the ambiance, service, food and spirits. Great Team Work!
It was my son's birthday and I had put that on the reservation but the server did not know. The food was good and we had a nice time
Very enjoyable atmosphere
Very nice waiter
First time to Cooper for brunch it was outstanding! The french toast was to die for.
Decent food. Went with a steak pie. Good taste and portion. Also had soup and chicken shots, were good. Nothing popped out as being special and Malbec was really bad. Only being $7.50 a glass I wasn't expecting much but after looking up the brand, I saw it is a $6.00 bottle. Tasted like a sweaty pair of socks...I assume. Stay away!
I really enjoy Cooper's Pub. They have updated their menu recently and now it's even better. Great happy hour prices and items and a fun environment. This most recent visit our waitress was great. Always checking in on us. Didn't hesitate to tell us the specials and what was going on that day.
Benedict Hash was okay. Eggs were medium boiled and I could have used twice the hollandaise sauce. Prices were great and I felt like I got a value for the basic bloody mary. Might try the buffet next time.
We had our Father's Day brunch at Cooper and we really enjoyed it. The food was phenomenal, the bloodies are yummy, and the service was amazing. We like the new menu! We're excited to come back and do some scotch and/or whiskey tastings.
