Always a great place for an amazing brunch or lunch.
The food is fresh and prepared in a tasty way.
The tables are a bit close together but the food makes up for it. Highly recommend the fresh baked pastries.

I think the food has gone downhill a bit here. It feels much more mass produced and much more salt and oil used in place of real care and attention.

Way too monotonous in terms of the type of people who are there. Waitress was just really rude and nonresponsive. Too much chit chat amongst servers without tending after tables. This is a not a place for people who enjoy variety or openness.

The sommelier did a great job finding a wine that went perfectly with our meal. Always a pleasure to visit Cookshop!

The service wasn’t great. The server dropped the check on the table without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert or anything else. Borderline rude

We loved the atmosphere (energetic but not too loud for conversation), the service (patient and eager to describe a dish), the appetizers (crispy brussel sprouts and deviled egg tasting especially), the entrees (varied and delicious, esp. roasted chicken), and the dessert (sticky toffee pudding with lime ginger ice cream). We also appreciated being able to linger for three hours without being rushed out on a Saturday night. All-around great experience.

Amazing food except the chai tea should be made with milk not water! (The tea was pretty bland but everything else was absolutely amazing)

Cookshop was again everything that we had hoped it to be from start to finish. We again had our purple-haired waitress. We again had our favorite table by the window. We again had a vegan meal that was tongue-bitingly delicious. We again had Champagne sorbet, served up as two, blushing ballocks in a small bowl, offered to us “allez,” much like something that would be served to a rude Spaniard in a Pier Paolo Pasolini film. This time, however, I did not get a drink thrown in my face—instead, I spake to my lover thus, “Call me by your name!” And to my ears came with his milky breath his erect response: “FEO!” Can’t wait to come back!!

Came here for New Year's Eve and celebrate the ringing in of 2018. The ambiance was festive and fun. Beautiful decorations, there were party favors and champagne toast. The best part was that they did a regular a la carte menu, rather than a prix fixe like at other restaurants, so it was a great value and so many more options! And their doughnuts are DELICIOUS and FRESH!! Must have! Great service and also very accommodating to dietary requests. Will go back again to try their brunch.

New Year’s Eve dinner. Great environment, happy that table for two had space around us, not crowded. Service pretty good. Rioja good, but not sure best match for our specific dinner. Food excellent, especially citrus salad and steak (but overpriced). Roast chicken and roast potatoes tasty. Coffee awful, like water. Choose food & drinks wisely, and will be worth it!

Wonderful food - black sea bass and seafood stew were both delectable! Fresh and perfectly seasoned. There was a truly dry Riesling wine, which paired perfectly with the seafood dishes.

My only complaint is that the service was a bit sloppy. The appetizer settings were removed yet not re-set correctly for the main course (spoons not given to diners with the seafood stew but rather to the black pass. It was awkward to hunt for the spoons re-shuffle to those needing them. A rushed clearing (not the wait staff but the sommelier) also led to food spilling on to my clothing. I was given a card with info so Cookshop could pick up tab for the cleaning, if needed.

While many of the reviews tout brunch / lunch, I can’t tell you how happy we were with our recent dinner. Prompt seating, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Appetizer 1 was roast cauliflower with a great harrisa spice - really unique and enjoyable. Appetizer 2 was the squid which were melt in your mouth tender. Appetizer 3 was the deviled egg sampler - some great tastes including a little more harrisa. Appetizer4 was fresh radishes with an accompanying butter and assorted spices - my wife thought the choice was very odd but I was really happy. Two of us shared the fisherman’s stew for dinner which was super - taste of saffron and a really rich tomato broth. Another main was the chicken which was a huge portion and really, really moist. We shared one desert between the four of us - fresh doughnuts!! We would return again for sure !!

We went to Cookshop last summer and had a great brunch, but our recent return visit was very lackluster. We waited a long time to get our food, which, when it came, was mostly cold, especially the pancakes. Our server was surprisingly inattentive. We sat with empty coffee cups for some time and he never checked in with us to see if we were okay or needed anything. Given that Cookshop is a fairly pricy breakfast compared to nearby options, the meal really lacked for value.

Cookshop is ALWAYS a delight. Delicious food, superb service- it’s excellent. Over the past month, I’ve introduced two separate groups to Cookshop. Each pretty heavy duty foodie types - each party blown away - what more can I say?

The waiter went out of its way to make us feel welcome, despite some missteps in the service. The Maine Belon oysters were remarkable and the seafood frittura was wonderful. It’s was a lovely Christmas Eve dinner made especially nice by the waiter and manager.

We had Sunday brunch at 2PM, earliest available time on that day. Service was friendly and prompt, however we found the food (eggs mostly) to be too spicy for our taste and were not able to eat much of our meals. This was not noted on the menu. Server never came back to the table to check on us and she was nowhere to be found during our meal. This restaurant is highly rated and tables are in demand so we expected better and were very disappointed. Would not go back.

Service was decent and decor wonderful but food was mediocre. The fish in the stew wasn’t fresh and the sauce had an odd taste. The Brussels sprouts were mushy. The peppermint ice cream tasted low and - neither dense nor creamy.

Although I rarely expect to spend $135 for lunch for three; the food was very good and the portions more than ample. The noise level makes conversation a strain; but overall an enjoyable experience.
