Loved our meal here! We had a bunch of amazing appetizers and entrees...the server was amazing!
Fantastic food and outstanding service. Kids friendly. Overall great experience
One of my favorites
Always so good. We love the staff we had a waiter who we have had before and he is great. I wish I remembered his name. Cookshop always stands out. Looking forward to our next meal there. Good always so fresh and delicious.
I felt great energy from the moment I walked in - to the time I received the check. The food was so tasty, clean, fresh and healthy that we decided to get desert for balance. I had the albacore tuna and my friend had the chickpeas. We both started out with the root salad and ended with the brownie. I will certainly be back.
We went for brunch/ lunch on a weekend and it was the perfect spot. Not too loud, but high energy. The food was great, but our server really made the whole experience excellent.
My favorite restaurant in NYC. Perfect for every occasion.
loud and hard to have conversation. good food and people watching.
In love from the start years back. Food is still great!!!
Food was mediocre. Pancakes were pretty good. Eggs with broccoli and goat cheese, not so much. This dish was particularly bland and boring. Goat cheese, if it wasn’t left out (which we suspected) was an imperceptible component. When we asked our server if it perhaps been omitted, she assured us it was integrated into the eggs and moved on. Biscuit was heavy and flavorless. We asked for pepper, didn’t get it. They did bring hot sauce when requested. Server never asked if we were enjoying our meal. I think she knew we weren’t. This is my third time dining at this restaurant. The first two times I recalled as being good. After this time, I won’t return.
Biscuit was stone cold, twice. Roasted broccoli was more like steamed mush in watery eggs. Cookshop was my absolute favorite restaurant when we lived in NYC and this meal was a big bummer.
This restaurant is superb. End of story!
Worth the hub bub. The food was wonderful. Our server Alfredo was an absolute delight. And we would rank it as one of our best brunches ever. It fills up quickly. So we were glad for our early reservation. But well worth it! Will gladly go back!
Loved this place! Excellent servers, great food and wine selections. Had mostly vegetarian dishes and they were excellent! We’ll be back for sure.
Food was average with nothing very interesting and the dishes we ordered were pretty bland and uninteresting
Great staff, nice food, relaxed ambiance.
You know we love Cookshop and have been going for years. The other night's dinner was just off. The steak was kinda fatty and we were seated by the kitchen in a partly full dining room. Think we will stick with brunch from now on.
Food was great, very loud; hard to converse, crowded- tables were very close, but all-in-all very good
Always very good!
Fish tacos were recommended by our waitress and were actually poor in every way, the tortilla was cold as was the fried fish, the slaw limp, presentation sloppy.
I’ve been here for dinner several times and just went for brunch. Amazing service every time, friendly staff, and the food is amazing- lots of choices so there’s something for everyone, especially in big groups!
Attractive eatery but they seriously need to rethink their food offerings.
Wish there was more variety on brunch menu
We sat outside...food was my and fresh, drinks inventive, service awesome...and fun dig watching on a Saturday morning!
Brunch outdoors - perfect
Fantastic experience from every angle. Service is top notch, we felt like family.
Our waiter was friendly and efficient. The food was great, and the vibe was energetic and fun. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice evening. All good. Food, service and ambiance just what the doctor ordered.
Very good breakfast! The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. Potatoes were good, maybe slightly too much paprika? The sausage was a little tough. Sourdough bread was good and crisp and served with butter and jam on the side. Coffee was only fair after having such great coffee around NYC. I would come back again!
I’ve been here many times through the years and to me, it is not as good as it used to be. Not as many food choices and smaller portions. $17 for four tiny pieces of squash that, while delicious, pretty exorbitant. Same for simple tomatoes with salt etc
Cookshop is a neighborhood favorite for sure. Plus every time I go there I am reminded that it is better than just a neighborhood spot. The food is delicious and unusual, the service is sparkling and friendly, the dining room is comfortable and elegant. Everyone in the room is having a good time, including, it seems, the waitstaff. I highly recommend Cookshop.
My only complaint is that we were seated 50 minutes late for a reservation, never fun. But...once we were seated, we were brought two complimentary appetizers and all was forgiven. I would ask the management not to overbook so this doesn't happen again.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Service was a little slow but food was delicious
The place is specious, but gets noisy although it was only half full.
We had diner. The food was okay. Considering the price, I expected more.
Service was snobby.
Basically, a good place to have something small and seat more speciously than other restaurants. Maybe the breakfast is better.
Perfect for a Sunday Brunch. Good food, vegetarian delicious opcions, lovely atmosphere
Nothing objectionable other than the noise level and the bill. I mean the food was ok. But $180 for a meal I could have had in NJ--pizza and a precious deconstructed Greek salad, tabouleh salad, seared shishito peppers and 3 drinks?? just not worth it.
Group of friends from out of town, wanted to take them to have great food!
Wait staff are wonderful
My friend from out of town and I came here for a brunch on a Friday afternoon. Although it was a little busy, and we were a little late, the hostess was super sweet and sat us right away. I had a delicious glass of sauvignon blanc and my friend had a gin/rhubarb cocktail. We split the burrata to start and the huevos rancheros. Both were absolutely delicious and we were STUFFED by the end. Definitely would go back!
