Food consistently good along with service
A place to return to in Chelsea
Always the best!
We love this place for both brunch and dinner... And Kinston is the BEST!!!!
It’s always great. The food is awesome and everyone is so amazing. What a fab place to grab a bite or celebrate!
delicious food....great service and a col vibe......amzing drinks and good wines by the glass
This was a great spot to take global team as they enjoyed the variety of food choices! Something for everyone and food quality service were exceptional
excellent service and food was spectacular. always a fave
I was seeing friends from Chile and elsewhere. Because it was a Monday and a late lunch we were able to speak and dine in great comfort with lovely staff service
Good grits. Loud. Nice people but hardly relaxed.
We had the deviled eggs and the Dutch apple pancake with apples. Everything was delicious. Service was quick and efficient. DO make reservations. It was packed.
Fabulous food and great service. Fantastic albacore!
After reading a few reviews I wanted to give this place a try. Met a friend there for drinks and early dinner. The drink options are extensive- wines, beers, specialty cocktails and classic well drinks. I enjoyed a cinnamon flavored Old Fashion. The dinner option was not as option friendly so we ended up enjoying several appetizers as our meal. The meat & cheese board and fried potatoes were 2 of my favorites.
Their food was amazing!
Our salads and the chickpea vegetarian dinner we ordered was exceptional.
Very good service and lovely staff.
But, big but here: they have the music turned up so loud, that when it starts to fill up, no one is actually able to talk. They must SCREAM!!!
I am surprised, and disappointed, that they haven't figured this out:(
i will say this
early is fine
food great, creative
noisy later and busy
Cookshop is as near to perfect as it gets. We’ve eaten there three times and the quality has been consistently exceptional. The reception is welcoming and cordial. The wait staff is opinionated in the best way because they seem really to want diners to enjoy the meal. Also great: you can hold a conversation there because it’s not loud!
Cookshop is a great ‘cleanser’ after a pretentious stroll through Chelsea gallery openings.
We rated service four stars instead of five because it was a little over attentive. Just a gentle suggestion: when two people are engaged in conversation over their plates of food, they’re just fine and don’t need a thing for at least a few minutes. Generally the signal is when a diner catches the eye of the waiter.
Really well done and seriously one of our tops three favorite places to go. Thank you.
Very good breakfast menu. We had the Cookshop Breakfast
(two fried eggs, Lancaster grits, applewood bacon, breakfast sausage, buttermilk biscuit, butter & jam). I am not a big fan of grits but the lancaster grits are amazing. Also try the Sauteed Spinach & Goat Cheese Scramble (caramelized onions, mixed greens, buttermilk biscuit). They have a good barista, the coffee was good.
Though later on a Sunday the service was attentive and professional throughout.
Excellent and thoughtfully prepared food and relaxed and kind response to any requests.
A very pleasant experience.
Fast service, attentive and overall excellent meal
It was the perfect place to meet an dear old friend in from LA for breakfast. Loved it.
I thought the service and the management was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and they even accommodated a specific allergy for me. I would always recommend a reservation because their tables are full within 10 minutes of opening on a weekend.
This was the best brunch my fiance and I have had to date. Morgan, our server made our experience here unforgettable! Greeted by her warm smile and amazing personality she explained the menu and helped us pick between all of the amazing options. She was very informative, funny and energetic. We had the cheddar scallion scone to start. Then split the almond pancakes with roasted apples (to die for) and the huevos rancheros (a staple there). The BLT bloody mary is a bacon lover's dream and the mimosas are on point. We will definitely be back and hopefully have Morgan again.
I’ve been to Cookshop three times over the course of several years and it has been remarkably consistent each time. It’s hard to really impress with food in this city, but everything about the experience at Cookshop really works.
Good food. Great service
Delicious lunch. Well priced. Enjoyed the rose champagne.
Food very salty and overcooked
Very good food and service.
Great food and service.
Had a wonderful dinner and great surprise treat from the kitchen for dessert!
Cookshop never disappoints. From their awesome drinks to their fabulous food. It’s a must go place.
The food and service were excellent. Fun for a weekend brunch.
We visit NYC once or twice a year and always to to Cookshop for breakfast/brunch once or twice per visit. The huevos rancheros and beignets are excellent although we wish they would serve them with lemon curd as they did the first time we had them.
Given that we have probably been there at least 10 times, it is a little bit disappointing that they do not seem to keep records and mention what loyal customers we are. Others of our favorite restaurants do this and it is a nice touch.
Best Christmas eve dinner ever! Love cookshop. Consistently excellent.
Another good Christmas Eve dinner at Cookshop
My only real criticism is poor street signage. I had to enter to confirm I was in the right place. We were promptly seated and service and food were both excellent.
Loved the menu, the food, and the service.
Fab food, try for a window or booth. Sunday brunch is busy, felt a bit rushed to turn our table for next patron.
Good and plentiful food and our waiter was great
