One of the few New York City restaurants you can count on for an excellent meal regardless of circumstance. Go for any meal or for a day on the patio.
Great service. Hostess wanted us to get served as soon as possible despite the huge crowd for outdoor seating.
Third visit. Just as great as ever. Ask for a table in the back, though, because it’s really really noisy
Loved the food. Family reunion. Great brunch. Great service. Just a bit loud when the doors are closed I’m a rainy day.
Boldly priced quality brunch food. Insanely crowded with hipster crowd.
Lively, fun environment. Service at first was a tad slow, but server made up for it after the start of our meal-Knowledgable, fun, attentive. Everyone (including two teenage children) loved their meal. Some of the dishes we had and loved: fried oysters with remoulade (3 oysters-perefct bite), shaved asparagus salad with goat cheese, scallops in broth, vegetarian lasagna, and the lamb chop. All very tasty. We would recommend Cookshop for a vibrant environment and delicious food.
Birthday, great service, great food
Met a friend here for a late lunch - it was enjoyable, no rushed and while every table was filled, the servers were attentive. Have been here a couple times now, each time I've had a good experience and the food is top notch. Definitely will be returning.
I was unimpressed with the quality and quantity of food. We ordered the artichoke appetizer tiny portion and really tasteless, the lasagna which I thought was ok nothing fantastic and ordered the lamb dish which was a small piece on the bone and was so tough and tasteless. My friend is from Australia she's been eating lamb since she was a child and she said she was surprised how bad it was too. The only thing I thought was descent was the wheat/barley side the lamb dish came with. The service was the best part of this restaurant everyone was very nice.
Always good food, much prefer it for late night dining after 9:45, when the calm arrives. Lovely food and nice wine selection
I love the staff and energy here. The food is beautifully prepared , perfectly served. It’s my go spot.
Thanks for always being consistently great.
Great food and service. I will definitely be back!
Cookshop does not disappoint. Food was outstanding and seasonally relevant and fresh. Service was attentive and friendly, and Sommelier Richard is a treasure. Noise level is always a bit to high, but pick your evening and your ambiance - it's going to be lively most evenings.
The breakfast was delicious. We had the french toast and pancakes. Our only complaint was that the coffee was pretty bad.
A neighborhood classic that attracts people from all over town, the food is always good, if a little complicated!
We have been here for several Brunches that were fabulous and we have now had dinner here twice in 2 weeks! Food is just fabulous. Very creative and very delicious! Staff is always warm and welcoming and they honor reservations....would highly recommend!
Went here for a Mother’s Day celebration and it did no disappoint. Great service, very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Food was great for a diverse dinner party — something for everyone.
Mother's Day brunch at Cookshop has become a much-anticipated tradition. Delicious food, innovative cocktails, excellent service. We love going to Cookshop other times during the year too. We've never been disappointed.
We did keep our reservation at cookshop. We called the restaurant and arranged a later time. There were no later times available on open table so we called the restaurant to arrange the later time. I thought they would let open table know. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We had the most lovely and attentive waitress. In addition, the food was top caliber. The serving size of the halibut could be a bit larger, but everyone really enjoyed their meals.
Went for brunch. Good food and good service. While crowded our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and our server was attentive.
The food and service was great. It is a little pricey but worth it. Would def go again!
went there for a dinner after Highline walk.
It was ok
Food was wonderful, went for brunch and our first cocktails came out with our food so that was a little disappointing. Great atmosphere.
Menu was limited because we came in for a late lunch. The fries were fresh and hand cut. The grilled cabbage was unusually flavorful. Everything we ordered was delicious.
another great meal! menu is diverse and interesting never disappoints!
Excellent! Food was great - outside seating was great.
Did you register my OpenTable for this visit? Thanks!
Crowded, popular local place with really good staff and completely unexceptional but pricey food. Everything we tried was either not worth finishing or just OK. This is New York -- you can do a lot better.
Perfection As always
Went here for dinner with a friend we had a seat outside. Awesome view of the highline from where we were sat. We ordered the side of the potatoes which were incredible. Artichokes and gem salad were tasty, healthy options as well.
We ordered chocolate chip cookies for dessert. They're served warm and were gooey and delicious. Surprisingly not too sweet and decadent.
I had high expectations as I've been to Cookshop for dinner several times. The lunch food was both incredibly average and portions were fairly small compared to what you would find at a comparable restaurant in the area. We were a group of 6 and seated in a table clearly meant for 4. Just an overall subpar experience than I expected from this establishment.
We always have a wonderful time at Cookshop! The food and service is exceptional. Try the house wine it is delicious.
I went two times in cookshop during my vacation in nyc. Great food and service is great. Would definitely come back.
Lovely service, food was good but not amazing. Nice, lively atmosphere
Innovative, farm to table cuisine, with local, seasonal ingredients. Great ambience. Standouts were the fried oysters and vegetarian lasagne.
Have been doing some business nearby and have now visited Cookshop three or four times by myself and have found it to be very good indeed in every aspect of what it presents itself to be - a high end lively bistro with delicious food and sexy ambiance. There is good reason for its success.
Everything was over salted and salad not crisp. The waiter was awful
Cookshop has never disappointed. The food is always outstanding and beautifully presented. It was especially busy so service was a bit slower than usual, but definitely worth the wait. I always recommend Cookshop as a great place right by the High Line.
Food was very good — has the burrata, crispy potatoes, fish tacos, and falafel. Quite noisy inside so we sat outside
