We have eaten here many times in the past but this was the best. We were attending the Paul Simon concert with friends and this was the perfect stop. HOWEVER, it was so good that we will go back just to have dinner. The service was great and we totally enjoyed the "pre-show" dining. So much better than when it was Craft!!

Very very slow. About 20 minutes to get cocktails then over an hour for food.

Our first table was sticky so we asked to be moved and were accommodated immediately. I ordered a coffee and our server handed me a spoon from the utensil container on our table. The spoon was crusted with chocolate icing so I handed it to the server and grabbed another spoon from the same container. SAME THING...dirty spoon. Leaves me wondering about the cleanliness of all dinnerware. YUCK!

The food was excellent, but the service was slow. We went during Easter brunch and the restaurant was relatively empty. It took a while for us to receive our entrees.

Love the ambiance of this restaurant! Its quiet and looks upscale. The food wasn't incredible but I enjoyed what I ate and it was reasonably priced. Our waitress was so nice and accommodating - we even made sure to request her when we came back for a drink after the hockey game. I would definitely recommend Cook Hall if you're looking for a tasteful and inexpensive meal in the Victory Park area.

Between sessions at the American Airlines Center NCCA Basketball. Place was slammed with people so very noisy. Don’t think they knew to have triple the staff. Service was good -considering and we food the food very good.

Dinner and drinks before the Stars game was a pretty quiet location near the American Airlines center. Would come back again. Tasty burger and flatbread. They can make a really nice Old Fashioned.

Went here with my son prior to a Saturday night Mavs game because all other good nearby options were booked solid. The place was less than half full, which should have been our signal to cut and run. The service was amiable but of the quality one would expect in a restaurant with limited business. The food? My son ordered pork sliders which tasted fine. But even by slider standards, they were tiny, think silver dollars. 3 for $14, no sides. My $16 burger was two razor thin patties with no taste. A burger from the concession stand at the arena would have been a better option. The W had an outstanding restaurant when it first opened. This place is an embarrassment.

Food was great! Service was a bit slow, but that was probably because it was immediately before the Star's game and there were a lot of patrons.

Ambiance has a bit of a crafty vibe, great for an occasion.

Love the atmosphere here. We came for pre-game dinner and drinks. I like the food here better than The Happiest Hour. We got the mezza app, duck tacos, pork sliders and the truffle Mac & cheese - all were excellent but portions are smaller. Amanda our server was attentive. I’d come back here for pre-game again.

Had a great server Nikki! Highly recommend the coffee rubbed steak and truffle Mac and cheese. After a minor issue shortly after we sat down our server went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and had a great experience.

We came here for dinner before a concert at AA Center. I had called ahead to ask if there was a limited menu and was told no. The limited menu was only if you ate in the Living Room Bar. So, it was disappointing to see a limited bar menu, which was overpriced. I probably won’t come back to see their full dinner menu.

Overall nice experience. We ate dinner there before gong to a concert at AA center. Not posted on their web site is when there is an event at the AA center, they have a limited menu. Many of the items listed on the web site menu are not available. That is why the ratings are 3s and not 5s. Wish i knew of the ilmited menu before making the reservations.

The food was terrible - we left most of it. The crispy duck tacos were mushy meat tacos with some slaw. The chicken sandwich - the chicken was tasteless on the burnt side and half the size of he bun, the bun dry and the slaw looked past it's best. We left most of the food. The waitress "whatever" ed us during a conversation re the quality of the food. Shocking all round.

This visit to Cook Hall was for a couple of reasons...a girls get together and for Restaurant Week of course! It was not packed at all, very quiet, our waiter was awesome, he even had a beautiful flower arrangement placed at our time. It was so sweet. Our food was brought our in a timely manner, hot and fresh, and it was exactly how we liked it. The only thing that could have been different was the spaghetti that I ordered, it was not seasoned at all, the tomato sauce was fresh, but on the flip side, the Bourbon Pecan Pie was AMAZING!

What a disappointment. The stylish W Hotel should do so much better than this bland attempt at a gastro-pub. Fried chicken bites? Popcorn shrimp? Am I at Popeyes? Uninspired meze...duck tacos that would be fine at a fast food spot...spaghetti, it all seemed like corporate food service, which I guess it is. Our server was friendly and overall the service was good (excellent team effort, which I appreciate). The room still has elements of Craft, which really was special. I understand that the hotel may want something more approachable, but they really need to start over with this spot. Also, how can a hotel restaurant close at 10 pm on a night when 16,000 people are streaming out of a concert next door?

We have been to Cook Hall before but this time was especially good. The service was prompt and friendly, the food was served quickly and still hot and the overall experience was the best we have had at Cook Hall.
Please keep up the good work and we will come back even if we are not going to a concert at AA.

Can't say that I would recommend Cook Hall if you are a solo customer. With a reservation I was overlooked for seating for 20 minutes. And another 10-15 once seated. It was an AAC event night, but still, with a reservation, and early arrival, I shouldn't have been getting my food 15 minutes before I had to leave. Very disappointed.

Had a reservation at 6:30 but was not seated until 7:00 pm. Chicken was overcooked otherwise everything else was good. Server was friendly and prompt but food took a while to come out. Based on the other choices in the area I would probably make a different choice next time.
A note about being seated late, there were several empty tables around us when we were finally seated.

Cook Hall has finally got it together. We have been dining here for years pre-show at AA center. They validate for valet so that has been the impetus for dining in the past. The only impetus. The food has always been good but the service was terrible. That's changed now. Our server (Karina?) was with us immediately and we were served drinks and food promptly and in correct order. The drinks are awesome and the food has always been delicious.

The waitress was overly friendly and came to our table constantly. We ordered chicken with veggies and most of the veggies were under cooked. On the other hand the deviled eggs were very good. It could be a great option for dinner before a Mavs game but I will not be coming back. The restaurant was empty for a friday night.

We stopped in for dinner before the Mavs game. The service was quick and friendly, but the food was lacking. We didn't care for the deviled eggs. They were lacking a sweet element and just not that tasty. My Caesar salad tasted nothing like a Caesar. I did not care for the dressing. The shrimp was very good. My husband's burger was ok but we won't go back. It was too expensive for what we considered bar food.
