Made a lunch reservation. Got there and the dining room was closed. Served only out in the hotel lobby but no tables were available. Embarrassed as I was with an important client. Went across the street to Del Frisco’s Grille and had a great experience.
My first visit
The good: valet was 3 hours free
The Ugly: I had the chicken and waffles. One: the chicken was not seasoned, two: I was given half a waffle, three: the chicken was burn

Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Not busy at all - which was a
Pleasant surprise. The food was very good but the service was lacking. Had 2 servers who didn’t know the answer to a question about a menu item. Took quite some time to get essentials such as silverware and water. We had to ask for condiments that were supposed to come with one of the snack items we ordered. Our server probably came around once during our meal to make sure everything was ok. He may have been new - which would explain why he didn’t know the answer to our questions and why it took so long to do and get everything done. Moving past all the negatives - the creamy Parmesan grits were amazing and so were the crispy duck tacos. The portions seem small but everything was very filling.
Went there for brunch on Sunday.
Did not get greeted, had to sit ourselves.
After 15 minutes we finally got our menus.
Once we finally ordered, after ONE HOUR of waiting i tell staff we are just going to leave.
Finally somebody comes to tell us they could not cook our food because their equipment was down.
WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE.

This is the 2nd time I've gone and again, service was slow.
Online menu has not been updated, so it’s different than what’s available. Very limited options.
First time here, the 1000 point bonus attracted me. I’ve driven by 1000 times. The snapper was cooked to perfection with some nice sides and the asparagus was amazing.
Staff was extremely friendly. Decor was nice. I really enjoyed it and will be back.
This was an okay place to eat — limited staff present, subpar customer service and the food was average. There’s better options in the area to eat, not highly recommended.

Not bad at all! Booked this for a Father's Day brunch for our family & my in-law's. The food was fine & actually got a lot of salmon on my benedict! That said, the service was a bit lackluster & the parking situation was abysmal (valet by The W Hotel). If this place had its own parking lot & service was better, I'd give more stars & a higher recommendation.
Definitely better service than the last visit. Staff was super attentive and Food was just as good as the first time. I really enjoyed and will definitely be back
Had a reservation for Mother's Day. Nowhere on their website or upon arrival did anyone mention a special menu. Then we were told food orders were 40 minutes behind. We had a drink and left and the service was awful too. The entire experience was a disaster so we left and went to another restaurant.
Waitress was very slow and spoke softly so we couldn’t hear. She never told us about the Mother’s Day specials
It took over 45 min to get our food.

This place has so much potential and it's sad that someone let it get so bad. When we first walked in it looked really cool, love the decor... but it's obvious that it's not being run well. Paint was peeling off the walls, windows looked gross, etc.. It also started raining outside and rain came POURING in ~ like literally a waterfall ~ in the windows. The staff didn't even care... me and other guests got up and moved the leather chairs away so they wouldn't get soaked. Water was soaking the floors and puddles came up to all of our chairs... staff just came and looked but didn't seem concerned. The food was ok, we had French toast and the tostada... it was fine but nothing special. The espresso was straight water, like someone didn't know how to use the machine. On the upside, the bartender also didn't know the proper pour so we got FULL cabernet glasses of the bubbly ~ that was pretty awesome :). It would be a cool place to go if they had a knowledgable staff and kept the place up a little ~ I just expected way more from a hotel attached to the W. Even the manager was lackadaisical about food, service, and the waterfall at the window. No one seemed to care about pretty much anything.
Nice place but very limited menu. What we ordered to eat was ok, I lived their fresh juices.
The boxed lunch is a great deal but deviled eggs were very bland. Should’ve gone with the soup.
Went out expecting to have a nice dinner at a somewhat upscale restaurant. The food was, largely, as expected - the small plates were excellent, the charcuterie board was adequate. The service was terrible. Our waiter was shockingly unknowledgeable (When asked what kinds of scotch they had, he asked if we meant whisky, and when asked what was on the charcuterie board all he could say was the meat was pork salami.) The restaurant was uncrowded, but service was still slow, painfully slow at times, and we generally felt more like our presence was an unwelcome nuisance than something the staff was happy about. I'd be fine with that level of service at a cheap chain, but for the price it was jarring and unpleasant.
There are tons of other options in the area, I highly recommend you consider one of them.
I’ve eaten here a number of times and the wait service is poor even when the restaurant is almost empty. Also there is inconsistency in the food - ex: I’ve had the same meal (the snapper) and it was not prepared the same way today as the last time I had it including the couscous that was served with it. Needless to say, today’s meal was disappointing.
Food was great and hostess is always pleasant. The server never returned to the table to refresh our drinks or anything.

Great food!! Excellent service.
Phenomenal service. Had coffee and water. Server realized we were using raw sugar and brought us more without us even asking. Water was never past the halfway point. The food was sensational and very worth the price!
I’d say the only issue is parking, but that’s something expected when eating in the downtown area.
The service was good but the food was not. I have dined here many times and it was not up to par. The roasted chicken was sitting in a pan of oil and was not good.
I've got mixed feelings about this place after visiting for lunch yesterday. I've heard wonderful things and decided to give it a try with some coworkers during our lunch break.
The service was mediocre. The menu states that the lunchbox service will be completed from beginning to end in 30 minutes, and it took over 25 minutes to get our first course. It also took them over 10 minutes to get our drinks to us. There was only 1 other table there, so we were a bit confused as to why the service was so slow.
The food was hit or miss - some of it was delicious (pana cotta, chicken wings, chicken panini, salmon) and some of it was so bad that we couldn't believe it was on the menu (namely the deviled eggs - extremely bitter, weird sticky texture and a horrible after taste).
I want to go back to try some other things on the menu I've heard good things about, but I don't know that I would recommend this place over other options in the area. I would just say to keep expectations low.
The Good - overall I enjoyed my experience at Cook Hall. We sat outside and even though it rained, it wasn’t too bad. We stayed outside under the patio umbrella. The food came out in great timing, the staff was pretty attentive, checking on us even through the rain. We were given towels which was nice! We order the duck tacos (super yummy) , the brioche French toast, side of seasonal fruit, bacon and eggs. Everything was good, hot and fresh. Also for drinks we had a mimosa and cappuccino with a shot of baileys in the side both were yummy.
The Bad - upon arriving there was no host to great us. The restaurant was empty and so we just kinda wandered around until we were greeted by the food and beverage manager Mike. We waited about 5-7 minutes. Not terrible but definitely can be annoying for some and we almost decided to leave.
Additionally, Mike seemed to be working the FOH by himself. He greeted/sat us, brought us our water, took our orders, check on us through the rain and closed us out. Really appreciate his service overall!! Even though the beginning seemed like things were going to go bad, I think by the end I was satisfied. I would return if I was in the area.
Easy to find in the maze that is Buckhead- find the W hotel- it’s on the street level of the hotel. Interesting sophisticated pub feel, outside seating is an option. Really interesting food that features fresh and local. I had the chilled cucumber soup with lump crab, so so so good I wanted another bowl. The actual chef delivered our appetizers so that was a nice touch. The duck tacos were to die for. Book a table and find this spot and enjoy !
The Brunch menu was unique and tasty. I had the Grattan and my friend had the omelet of the day. Bother we’re delicious and we shared a homemade sticky bun, which I would really call a cinnamon roll, Not gooey, and not too sweet. The service was excellent, Michael and the other staff were attentive and personable. The place can get a little loud, especially with the tv blaring at the bar, which is only a few feet away.
We ate there for breakfast. Average food and average service. If you're staying at the hotel, this could be an ok food option.
It was pretty quiet during lunch on a Wednesday. Definitely getting the duck tacos again and the service was great!
Burger bun was stale. Also the Burger came with fries and the menu didn’t say that it did and so we ordered a separate order of fries which was not necessary.
I enjoyed Cook Hall. The brunch menu had some variety. The frittata was superb with the potatoes. The waiter Michael was wonderful. He was very accommodating and had the best smile. See you on the big screen soon Michael. The whole staff including the Chef sung happy birthday to me and gave me the best chocolate cake. I will definitely be back
Was excited to try for Brunch, but for some reason they decided not to serve brunch last Sunday??? Hate to rate the food poor since I only had coffee.
2 tables occupied in the space and the wait to order or get food was very long. Even went to the bar to get second round of drinks since waiter was preoccupied. Unlikely we’ll go back.
Waited for over 15 minutes for anyone to greet us, stared at half eaten food on a dirty tray next to us for an hour. There were less than 10 people in total in the restaurant yet for some reason service could clearly not handle it.
This is a hidden gem. A cute and quaint rustic bar feel with great food and amazing service.
It was pretty bad from start to finish. I'll not be returning.
Server checked on us one time while she focused on two other tables.
