Polite staff. Easy sitting. Fast service.

Small portion of the main. 2.5 small pieces of rabbit for $30 is overly priced for a homemade-type meal.

Given the price list, a few more bottles open for by-the-glass service would be welcome.

Service, ambiance were excellent. Food was good, not excellent. Was really excited about Spinach Gnudi, but didn't quite live up to expectation. Entrees were a little pricey for BK.

The food was delicious! Service was great! The only bad part was circling around for 45 minutes looking for a parking spot.

I have been dining at Convivium for many years and they are always consistent. Although spirits are no available, their wine list is great. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a place with good food, wine, friendly staff and good ambiance.

My wife and I have been to Convivium Osteria half a dozen times. We live in the neighborhood. Very authentic Mediterranean food. Waiters know their menu and are very helpful with wine recommendations.
Love the place!

An excellent place for a romantic evening. Limited menu but everything is delicious. No liquor and only Stella Artois for beer. Might be a deal-breaker for some. Very attentive staff .

Delicious, savory Italian food in a rustic, authentic setting. The wine cellar was a bit noisy--the laughter of one large party bounced off the brick walls--so if you are going for quiet conversation you might want to choose your seating carefully. Also, many of the appetizers were quite heavy--liver, sautéed garlic shrimp, etc.-- and could almost serve as a small main course. For a cozy autumn or winter meal, though, this is a great choice.

We had a great experience at Convivium. The burrata was soooo good - melt-in-your-mouth fresh. Two of us had different pasta dishes and one had short ribs on polenta - all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. For dessert we shared a blueberry pie with coconut in the topping - a unique and tasty combination. We shared a bottle of white rioja that was exquisite. The atmosphere is cozy and the service knowledgeable and just attentive enough. I look forward to a return visit.

Meal started with 2 salad selections (Farro and Endive and Kale)
Both nicely prepared and served with good bread and olive oil.
Our diners were Ravioli w/ Duck Ragu and Red Snapper.
The ravioli worker oh so well with the duck sauce...Red snapper fresh and pan seared.
Apple tart and coffee....
Very nice staff, plenty of attention, out the door for less than $100 excluding tip.

my niece was in town, and I wanted to take her out to a lovely dinner, in the area. Our dinner was delicious, we were able to stay for 4 hours, and the service was wonderful all night. I asked for a very quiet spot , and it turned out they had multiple rooms - all nice, and I think they opened up a room for us. All in all, it was a perfect evening, and I will definitely go there in the future.

The appetizer mussels were delicious but my red snapper entree was a toddler portion. Not acceptable. Very disappointing for a $30 entree (a la carte). I will not be returning and that is a shame. It's location is very convenient to Barclay.

My wife and I have come to this Osteria four times now, each time before a show at the Barklay's center. We've always been impressed by the super fresh and delicious seafood. My wife had the Bronzino this time and it was superb. I had the lamb and it was also excellent.
Our usual wine, the Polvanera, was unavailable but the waitress suggested another Primitivo, the Feudo di Santa Croce. An excellent full bodied red that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks again! We will be back!

I rarely write reviews on Yelp but after having such an unbelievable experience yesterday I felt compelled to write one. I hosted a casual engagement dinner with both families and we had reserved the back area; intimate setting that can accommodate 10 people. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, service was impeccable, especially Angel who is the host and makes sure everyone is happy. He recommended great wines from Tuscany ( it was a chianti-wine-like and a great sangrantini) can't beat their delicious Italian food, especially the pastas. We had people ranging in ages (1 year old to 90 years old) and the place couldn't have been more accommodating. Highly suggest this place if you're looking to host a larger family dinner! They also have a private wine cellar for larger parties that is truly spectacular. Great homey, intimate, spot; felt like I was in someone's home in Tuscany. I will be coming back in a regular basis.

We went before a concert at The Barclay's Center. Arrived at 5:30 had to wait to be seated as the only waiter was to busy talking to the only other person in the place!! Just ordered appetizers as we were in no rush but was told no you have to put the whole order in. We did but asked for a leisurely pace to dinner. Food came hard and fast despite asking three different waiters take it easy!! I complained and was told but it's the kitchen, we cant do anything!! Horrible service, only interested in getting you in and out. No apologies.

This has been a place I like to frequent when attending a gig at Barclays. I have been very pleased with just about anything I have ordered in this restaurant. The food is fresh and very tasty. Most recently I ordered the rabbit for my main and found it to be tender and delicious. I only wish the portion was a bit larger. Wine list is credible with a 200% markup on the Rioja I ordered which sadly is better than many NYC restaurants.

Excellent food and lovely date experience. Warm ambiance with decor that makes you feel like you're in Italy, I tried the green apple & cinnamon ravioli with duck ragu and my husband had the chicken, both were excellent! We'll definitely be back.

I always get the rabbit and as usual it was fantastic. The special appetizer was a combination of spinach chick peas and calamari. Sounded interesting so I gave it a try. So glad I did. The flavor was amazing and it was cooked to perfection. Convivium Osteria is very consistent and you can always rely on an excellent dining experience.

The lovely owners saved our evening and we had a wonderful and delicious birthday meal for our uncle. OpenTable messed up our reservation. I had a confirm for 6, but OpenTable sent a reservation for 2 to the restaurant. The owner scrambled to make it work even though the place was filled on this Thursday evening. He and his wife were very warm and caring.

Many dishes were distinct from the usual Italian fare, and all were tasty. The burrata was creamy goodness. My wife and I had an intriguing variation on gnocci, and a delicious sea bass. The desserts were yummy as well.

Everything was amazing and she wants to make this place our date spot so I know we're coming back!
