My favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. The atmosphere is extremely intimate, the food is always very good and beautifully plated, solid wine list, and a really nice place for conversations with close friends or a date.
Went for our cousin’s bday dinner and we had an awesome time. The food was delicious and the wine superb. Definitely would go back!!
I couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate my daughter's graduation then Convivium. Since we walked in , we were warmly greeted. The restaurant has a really nice European vibe. Angel took care of us and introduced us to wines we never had before and they all were delicious!! Specially a white from trentino. Food was outstanding and definitely did not disappoint. Service and Food here are excellence. They know what they doing because it is an experience that no other restaurant offers you in Brooklyn.
Spectacular as always one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. The food is always fantastic and the wine list is full of exactly what I like. Knowledgable and attentive staff make the experience.
Lovely setting and delicious food with some unexpected combinations. The faro appetizer was wonderful. Family is staff and all are friendly and gracious.
The pistachio crusted lamb was excellent!
Lovely meal, lovely staff.
This was my second visit and the experience was as wonderful as the first. The food was great. The welcome is cordial and warm and we sat in the window in the front. I had the farro salad with fontina and almonds and my husband had the quail stuffed with sausages and mushrooms in port wine and figs surrounded by radicchio. We each went for pasta. He was swept away with Mallereddus with pork sausage in tomato sauce with pecorino and I went back again for the Tagliatelle with beef and veal ragu. Dessert was tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake. Everything was divine. Lovely service. We will be back again and again.
Excellent service and food. Great guidance on pairings. One of our 6 is vegan. They prepared an amazing meal for him.
Probably the finest food I ever had in NY. I had the rabbit, which was outstanding both in taste and consistency. Same for the antipasti and the dessert. They offer a rich selection of excellent vines as well.
Solid Italian food nice romantic atmosphere.
Food was good but it was so so hot they did not turn on the AC abd quite frankly ruined our night eating drinking and sweating would recommend only to go in winter
Food was fresh and delicious
Wait staff a bit erratic
Amazing food! Fantastic service, wonderful décor.
I will definitely go back!!
The atmosphere in the restaurant is incredible. The decor is beautiful and feels so cozy.
However, the service was pretty disappointing. It took the server a long time to reach our table after being seated and that trend continued for the rest of the evening. He never came by to check on us so we were left to flag down other servers for their assistance.
The food was just alright—all of our dishes needed to be seasoned and arrived lukewarm. I had been here once before and decided to give it another chance thinking my first experience was a fluke. But I can’t say anything was improved, unfortunately.
Overall, not the best experience. I would love to see the dishes and service improved because it really is a beautiful restaurant.
This place serves delicious and hearty Italian food. The serving are ample, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. I've been there three times, and it has consistently been first rate.
Always great food and a warm ambience with attentive service. We like it for a special occasion for two.
I wished I lived closer to go here more often! The atmosphere is cozy and the food was fabulous!
Nice setting and ambience. Being a week day, the wine cellar area was not available, which I believe to be cozier. Food was on point as was staff and service
As usual, dinner was a wonderful experience. We were given a table in the wine cellar as we requested, as we were celebrating a special occasion. Our server (whose name we unfortunately didn't get) was warm, welcoming and very professional. His wine suggestion was terrific, and the Sunday 1/2 price wine promotion is a great idea. The food was delicious as usual, and they even remembered to bring a pan cotta with a candle to celebrate my brother's birthday. (They didn't need any reminder and comped us the desert.) Overall, a memorable meal in a picturesque setting with great service. What else could you want?
Great food but the table they sat us at was far too small for a party of five and the servers kept bumping our chairs. The food was great, but service was very very slow. Go there with a small party when you're not in a rush.
Shhhhh our secret’ lol
Each of the 3 meals we ordered were delicious. Rack of lamb, pasta with sausage and rabbit could not be better.
Cozy place for dinner with the people you want to talk ) plus, that spinach and cheese pasta is a must !
For such a highly rated restaurant we were surprised that the food was just not great. There are so many nearby Italian restaurants that stand out compared to this spot. The service was very good, but a bit uneven. The wine was good but not great. Ambiance was lovely.
Recommended by an Italian friend, quickly turned in our favorite restaurant in NYC. Best Italian food in town, great wine selection.
Our meal was lackluster. The restaurant was charming, but not special.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Park Slope. The menu doesn't change much over time, but the dishes are almost all quite good.
Thanks for being so lovely and nice, what a beautiful cozy space.
Great old world atmosphere hidden from the busiest part of 5th avenue. service is top notch and unpretentious. Food is excellent, fresh and served in an appetizing and attractive manner.
Upon entering the restaurant you are taken away from Brooklyn. The decor and ambiance in here is outstanding. The perfect place for a date or dinner with some friends. We ordered the night's special - oysters in a garlic sauce and to our disappointment not too much garlic - salt and pepper came to the rescue. The sea bass was also light in flavor. The braised artichoke however, had a wonderful sauce - great with bread! And finally our main courses redeemed the entire experience. Gnudi di Ricotta e Spinaci & the Squid Ink Linguine both melted in our mouths. Definitely a must try! Can't wait to come back.
We are so glad we picked this place for our anniversary. Family owned and run, and you can tell everyone truly cares about your experience.
*Bread and olive oil was yummy
*Grilled octopus - delicious
*Apple & cinnamon ravioli with duck ragu - exceptional
*Sardinian Pasta with Housemade Berkshire Pork Sausage in Tomato Sauce - very yummy, great flavor
*Blueberry & coconut crumble pie - perfect dessert, light but delicious
The decor is rustic and warm.
Fabulous food, wonderful interior, relaxed and very good service
I had called the restaurant as it was my girlfriend's birthday and asked to bring a dessert with a candle. Since we stepped into the restaurant we felt completely taken somewhere in Europe. Beautiful and romantic restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and seated right away. My girlfriend and I are both foodies but there were a lot of items in the menu that we didnt know but were amazingly explained. Angel helped us choose our food and recommended their Ravioli with duck ragu and tagliatelle. We also started with a nice polpo and a selection of meats and cheeses. He also helped us choose our wine. We like big wines and he had us try a cabernet sauvignon from napa valley. (Unbelievable wine, i wish i took a picture) overall an amazing experience! My girlfriend and I will certainly return soon. Professional and knowledgeable service and romantic ambiance. Hands downs to you guys !
The manager he was giving a lot of attitude he been very rude the food was okay for the valley I spent I could go eat in very high-end restaurant for the money I spend definitely is not worth it the same order I have in that restaurant if I will eats in a different restaurant and that type of food probably with a drink I paid $60 I paid 205 bucks two people two appetizer and to order of fish never ever again I don't recommend it
Octopus appetizer was particularly good and thefish and meat entrees were tasty
However the tagliatelle pasta was less than ideally tender
The wine recommended was a good one
Overall a decent meal with nice ambeinece although a bit pricey
We took out of town parents out to dinner. They’re from California, and downstairs is NOTHING like what they have at home. There’s a wonderful table for 4 or 5 in an alcove downstairs which felt private but not isolated. The food was spectacular. We all loved everything. Service was attentive and friendly.
Nice food, quiet and really good Service - absolutely recommanding!
The weather was bad so the restaurant was almost empty. It might normally be more crowded but it was a fantastic dining experience all around. Food was great, we were not rushed, wine selection very good and service was attentive but not hovering.
Low-lit, fairly quiet, pleasant ambience with excellent food and service.
