With a stunningly warm and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a family-run restaurant in Tuscany or Bordeaux, Continental Treat Fine Bistro in Edmonton serves charming continental cuisine. The traditional cheese and potato stuffed pierogis with sour cream and the vegetable-laden red barszcz soup make excellent starter dishes. Some of Continental Treat Fine Bistro's specialty entrée dishes include the marinated pork chop Munich style with smoked sausage and mushrooms in a rich pearl onion sauce, the chicken stroganoff in a creamy tomato sauce with spaetzle, sour cream and diced pickles, the famous Hungarian goulash with tender beef cubes stewed in a rich and fragrant paprika sauce and the rainbow trout with seasoned with lemon, dill and capers, pan fried until crisp and golden.                                                                                                 We love this resturant. We felt that maybe it has changed hands since our last visit. We were celebrating a birthday and wanted a nice evening. We ordered a bottle of wine to have before we had dinner. our soup came almost immediately ..we asked for our wine 3 times. i mentioned to the lady that we didn't want our dinner out quickly since we just finished the soup which was delicious. She promised it wouldn't come yet. No sooner had she turned her back and we had our dinner in front of us. Very disappointing to have been so rushed and dinner was not up to the usual standard by any means. I actually didn't recognize my dinner from the last few times I've had it. We ordered it with spatzel. not sure what we got but we didn't care for it at all. Totally a disappointing evening..

                                                                                                We had a lovely dinner with friends.. service was impeccable, food was delicious, we had pork schnitzel and chicken schnitzel and goulash. Highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience.

                                                                                                While the food was delicious as usual the price of the drinks was ridiculously high so we only had water. The waitress was inconsistent at best and barely came to our table. Not sure what the point of saying the reservation is for a birthday if there’s no acknowledgment of it at all.

In regards to your birthday, I have contacted the manager to find out who the server was and why it was not acknowledged , we have a lot of our customers who come in for their special occasions; birthdays, aniversaries, etc and we want to make sure we do provide a memorable service, so my deepest apologies on that...We do wish you the warmest birthday from all of us here at our 3rd generation family bistro. As for the cocktails we do use premium products, fresh juices, fairly expensive decor/props.but let me investigate further is something is missed with the cocktails...we hope you give us another chance, and please fee freee contacting me at sylvesterct@shaw.ca

We went to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday. The service was amazing! The food was incredible! We found the price reasonable as well. We will for sure be back to try other dishes that sounded amazing!

You could tell that food was freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. The schnitzel was the best we have had. Service was timely and attentive yet not intrusive. A romantic ambience.
