Concordville Inn Ratings and Reviews
The quality of the food has fallen over the last 3 or 4 times we have gone to Concordville Inn for Sunday Brunch. The shrimp is really small. The breakfast sausage is small and not as tasty. The bacon was not as crispy as it should be. The desserts were so so...........I had a small piece of cheesecake..I ate only part of it. It was incredibly dry. The selection of breakfast pastry did not look appetizing. For the money you pay you should get a higher quality. Our server was nice.
The menu selection was great. Both the shrimp bisque and the snapper soup were excellent. The meal - soup, salad, fillet mignon with two sides and dessert - was an outstanding value. We went there to celebrate my cousin'd birthday and both she and her husband were delighted. The servers were attentive, helpful and fun. The desserts were excellent as well. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful place with linen table cloths and napkins. Hostess was nice. Our waitress Dottie was wonderful and friendly.. the other server Bob was so great, we asked how to make the fan napkins and he taught us! Prices are very reasonable. They have specials. I got crab cakes which were fine. My daughter got the filet oscar, it was very tender.
Overall, I like it there. We stopped on the way home from Longwood Gardens. I made reservations in the car on the way. We got there at 9:00 on a Saturday night, it was not busy at all.
The temperature of the room was very hot and uncomfortable.
The food was okay, not great.
The service was slow, even though all our waitress did was bus the table.
Expensive for what you get for brunch buffet- $30 each.
Half that amount would have been reasonable.($15ea)
I have had brunch here several times before & it was great! This time I'm left wondering if they have a new chef. Chicken was too tough to cut. Alleged prime rib was nothing more than roast beef or possibly pot roast, and the bacon WAS NOT COOKED thoroughly. Potatoes were cold! Embarrassed that I took a guest for her birthday!
We have been going to the Concordville Inn for many years. Typically, the food is fresh, tasty and hot. However, we have made an observation over the years that when the Concordville Inn is catering for a party, the normal Restaurant Dinner Patrons are always receiving secondary service. The food is not typically cooked to order or it is a smaller portion or many times, cold. I do not know where the breakdown is, not enough waitstaff? Not enough Cooks? Either way, the focus is always on the cater party and the dinner patrons bear the brunt of the fallout by being served, cold food or a sub-par meal. If the Concordville Inn addresses this issue, I am sure it would improve their business and customer satisfaction. Our experience has always been favorable of the Concordville Inn, however we now will bypass the restaurant if there is a catered event at the same time.
We did not stay for dinner, because it took 15 minutes for our server to bring us two flat beers. We had reservations, and when we walked in, there were three waitresses standing around talking, and the woman at the front desk completely ignored us. We proceeded to walk into the restaurant, and the manager stopped us and asked if he could help us. We told him we had reservations, which we did not need. The dining room only had three other diners. We asked our waiter to bring us our check for the flat beers. We waited 10 minutes for him to bring our check. We finally found him at the bar socializing with the bartender. We just walked out.
zero stars for everything!!
As usual, food and service was good when we went for Sunday brunch. Some minor issues: the prime rib wasn't very warm - just going from the station to our seats, and it was room temp/cold when I sat down, for example. Another dining patron went to put whipped cream on her Belgian waffle and found a long hair in the just unwrapped serving dish, that hair clearly wasn't from any of us standing there. We were among the first there that morning, so it was likely from whomever put the whipped cream in the serving bowl. Other than those minor issues, food was fine. Our server's name was Karen, and she was very good.
