Con Murphy's Irish Pub Ratings and Reviews
A group of 5 of us came here to celebrate a birthday dinner and the food was amazing. Happy hour drinks are totally worth it and the wings and nachos were stellar! Service was great and our waitress was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
The Restaurant does not check the Internet Reservations!!!
When we arrived the greeter does not have the internet reservations.
She said that previous guests also said the made internet reservations.
Sooooooo this Internet Reservation Service is not used by the restaurant.
MAKE RESERVATIONS VIA TELEPHONE TO INSURE TABLE!!!!!!!!
A true sports bar with lots of TV screens, but no TV sound so the sound level in the restaurant is quite acceptable. Extensive craft beer menu of all types and origins, with good descriptions from a knowledgeable waitress. Had delicious Korean short rib tacos (sounds weird but really good) and an excellent thin crust pizza. Not too many choices around Logan Square, but this was a winner.
They had a crowd that was overstaying their reservation & they couldn’t seat us at reservation time. We sat at the bar upstairs. After a few minute I made my displeasure know to the manager. He understood & explained. He seated us soon after with apologies & a complimentary round of drinks. The food was outstanding.
They did a great job managing a situation that would have gone sideways in many places.
Had a nice dinner at Con Murphy's Irish Pub this past Friday. We arrived almost an hour before our scheduled reservation and were seated right away (it was REALLY early) at the outside patio. While the patio area was a bit noisy with the cars and people going by, it was still very nice and enjoyable. Since half our party wasn't there as early as we were, we ordered apps and drinks and just enjoyed the beautiful day. Service was good, and the food was good. They have a bit of a limited menu, but it's typical pub food with some Irish well knowns thrown in for good measure. Would definitely return, if in that area again.
Food was just okay. Service was terrible. The server forgot my coffee, then messed up my sister-in-law's drink order. My cup was dirty and her cup was covered in lipstick. I asked for grilled tomato and got raw tomato. My brother asked for his bacon to be less crispy than mine and all the bacon was crispy and not at all warm. The server wasn't very friendly or apologetic for her various mistakes.
I’ve been here on a few other occasions for business oriented meals and I’ve always been happy with service and food as a whole. Server was attentive, but also ensured we were taken care of in a timely manner so we were able to enjoy our food and be back in the office within a reasonable amount of time.
Husband's birthday dinner, which I noted in Open Table, and the wait staff offered free dessert :). Server was very nice, but very busy. Drinks were good. Very tight quarters; I was glad it was only our little family. Six year old son loved the pasta with butter!
Grand food, service, atmosphere and drinks. You must try the Short Rib Gravy Fries as they were amazingly delicious. Also enjoyed the Bacon Cheese Burger with sautéed onions and fries. Just wished I saved room for dessert to taste the bread pudding. I'll be sure to try it during my next visit.
I considered eating at this place for the location close to the museum district and hotels.
Well I enjoyed the pub so much I went twice during my visit to Philadelphia breakfast was delicious so many items to choose from with a little twist. Dinner was equally tasty, I don't drink but the bar looked well stocked with top shelf wine and spirits. My husband and I will be returning soon.
Our party came to eat after the Philly Love Run. We had to move our reservation up a half hour and we were quickly changed. I asked for seating for a person with some physical limitation and was accommodated with no problem. Food was very satisfying after being out in the weather for three hours. Atmosphere was fun as many of the patrons were coming from the run at that time. First visit there and I would go back. Staff was very pleasant.
Very much impressed with the presentation of the food and the taste. Normally replaces fries with a side salad is disappointing but not here. The side salad was incredible and complimented the bbq blue cheese burger perfectly. I highly recommend this place.
