Con Murphy's Irish Pub
Con Murphy's have created a menu to please all palates from the traditional Shepherds Pie (made with Lamb) & Fish'n'Chips to NY Strip Steaks & the local favorite Philly Cheesesteak. There is always a nice selection of seafood available also. Items such as She Crab Soup, Housemade Hummus, Reuben & Chicken Pot Pie are popular dishes with the locals. Of course an Irish pub isn't authentic without a traditional Irish Breakfast which is available on the breakfast menu that is served 7 days a week along with other morning-time favorites.
Great place for lunch.
Table was ready at reserved time. Staff and server were very friendly and the service was excellent. We both had the fish and chips which was excellent.
We stayed at The Windsor as we were seeing a show that evening at The Met, so we had dinner and breakfast at this wonderful place! I’m a vegetarian and found suitable items on the menu. Veggie burger was giant and served with fresh cut fries. Husband raves about his cheesesteak. The next morning, I had avocado which wS delicious and my husband had Pancakes, eggs and bacon. If you’re in the city, make sure you grab a bite from this awesome place!
We had dinner and BF here (with voucher) since we were staying right next door. Dinner was really good and priced decently. Food didn’t take too long to come out. Our server disappeared halfway through, although another took over, only to have the original one come back later. It was a bit confusing but fine.
BF was also really good morning of 8/11, but again we got a different waitress half way through. Neither time were we told anything. This could lead to delays if we waited for the original one to come back. We had vouchers for BF, which apparently we were supposed to give in the beginning, but didn’t know. The second waitress seemed really annoyed to find out we had vouchers and was very short with us after. I said sorry we didn’t know, she said it says so right on there. She literally said “you guys are good” as she raced by our table to get outside rather than a courteous goodbye. Just bc we have vouchers doesn’t mean we won’t tip. Now I regretted tipping even the 15% as she really didn’t do anything but give us attitude.
I apologize about the attitude you received the server, I will speak to her and make sure this does not happen again. We take our guest satisfaction very seriously as we do a lot of business with multiple local hotels. As for having different servers, all of our wait staff works as a team. If one waitress gets busy, all the other waitresses will help them to make sure everyone is getting good service until the server is ok. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the food though!
I had a salad for lunch which was excellent and the service was excellent as well.
Thank you for the great review Valerie!
this was my first time there. I was greeted very nicely. They have dining on multiple levels endorse and they have outdoor seating also. Because they claim to be in Irish establishment you can get your Guinness beer. There are also many beers that you can get that are not Irish. They have a nice happy hour. I only got an appetizer and a beer. My appetizer was very filling. For being in Center City along the parkway, this is a great place to hang out and enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price. I will be returning and I will bring friends.
The 2 philly cheesesteaks were really dry and were missing the cheese. The salad was great though. We were in Philly with our dear friend who has cancer and felt SO bad that she insisted on paying for a very disappointing meal.
Everything was great, but it was very loud and hard to have a one on one conversation
Loud live music was unbearably loud on 1st floor, so we sat on second, and even left via the 2nd-floor door. Food was mediocre. Guinness stew gravy was virtually tasteless and didn't taste "Irish" at all. Burgers were gristly (cooked medium). Service seemed like our table was an afterthought. Not worth the price, especially compared to other Irish places in the city. Tourist trap in the museum area.
Good cauliflower appetizer. Grilled cheese was not good. Good service!
Food was very good with very generous portions. Major complaint would be the noise level, which was quite loud and made talking at the table difficult.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and beer selection. Food was solid, but I'm not dying to go back. Kid friendly. Good music selection.
It was loud. The food was mediocre & our waitress was very slow. I tried to stop her & ask for the check and she sharply replied “Just a sec”.
Food was excellent. Portions were adequate. Outside seating a huge plus.
Excellent food it came out fast and it was fresh and hot can’t wait to go back
Great food, excellent atmosphere! Enjoyed a wonderful meal. Our waitress, LaDonna, was awesome!
Wow the grouper piccata was excellent! My group grew slightly and were easily accommodated upstairs. Noise level low enough to have good conversation. Everyone loved their food.
Just a great place to stop . The service is great, the food is always on target and the prices are reasonable for the city. A bonus is the entertainment
Always great food and drinks. Service was surprisingly a little slow, considering it wasn’t very busy.
The food was very good and the waitress was great. Excellent location near several attractions with cheap parking garage right next door.
The best fish and chips I've had in a long while, and I eat a lot of fish and chips. We sat upstairs and the crowd at the bar was doing shots and taking selfies, which made them even louder than before. Couldn't hear my date talk. Still a great place. Service was great, and the drafts were mainly Irish, which for an Irish pub is a no brainer. We also had a great Bloody Mary earlier in the morning which was lovingly made with jet fuel. Loved it.. It is a good place right off of the Parkway. And a good value.
It's a bar with table service. Cozy and nice place to grab a meal and beer. The waitress was super nice and the food was delicious as well as beer!
Food was average. A great band was playing
Service was great really enjoyed the Godiva Chocolate Creme Brulee
Myself and my husband ordered the "chef's special" of fish and chips. It was horrible. Obviously was frozen and then deep fried. French fries were not crisp and greasy. Overall neither of us finished it because it was not good. And if you're looking for a place to have a conversation, don't go here. It was beyond loud. Basically shouted the entire dinner.
Food and service were great. It was packed since it was St. Patty's Day. The specialty menu of traditional food was a hit with my family
The food was delicious, as always! The live music always makes for a very fun atmosphere!
Good food, good value, great service. A little noisy but overall a great place.
Good spot. A little small on the first floor, but the service and food were great.
The food was good, space is nice, and the service was okay (never got a refill on my water)
First time at an Irish pub. The drinks where amazing but the food is over priced and portioned small. Service was exceptional, the waitress was very nice but took a while to come back to the table. This is an ideal spot for an happy hour
First time at Con Murphy, and pleasantly pleased with the food and restaurant. The apps were delicious and very good entree options.
Dinner before a show. They could use an area for Uber/Lyft/Taxis to pull up to, but it’s a good location.
The place looks beautiful really liked the ambience but the food was not good! Our waitress legit kept forgetting our drinks, she gave us coffee and we had to ask 3x for creamers and more sugar. She came back with them after almost 20mins! She forgot my friends orange juice he got after he ate his meal! She forgot my appetiser and personally I would never go there again. Very disappointed!
A wonderful dinner with the family! The food hit the right notes and the service made for a relaxing experience.
Waitress was very pleasant and food was outstanding
Four diners, four meals, one thought theirs was great (salmon) two were disappointed (burger and beef stew). Three desserts, and two disappointed (cheesecake and Grand Marnier creme brulee). It was a Saturday night, but this was pub food, so... I wouldn't go back.
A neat little Irish Pub. Great parking for $6 as the validate. They have music Thu - Sun. Guinness Stew gets thumbs up.
Service was not very attentive but food was great!
