We got a great table because we booked a reservation. All of the food was brilliant.

Couldn't tell if they were short-staffed but service was a bit slow. Food was fair (nothing particularly outstanding) but felt overpriced for what it was. The drinks were good, though. If I do go back, it'd just be for the drinks.

The special was ribs and potato salad. It was absolutely amazing. We went on a Tuesday night and they had a live band!

Food is outstanding. Service is good, but sometimes slow (have to ask for things, but the servers are nice). Ambiance is great. Has a steampunk / retro vibe. Excellent cocktail list + bartender’s choice is amazing.

Food was bland and the waiter seemed blind to our presence despite being seated next to the service window. Could have been an off night but will not be back.

The falafel was the highlight! Great cocktails too.

Menu is limited, particularly for dinner, although the family meal, roast chicken with mushroom gravy and crispy Brussels sprouts and broccoli was very good. Extensive drink menu.

We had the burger which was divine, the shishito peppers, the white cheddar chips, and the shrimp ceviche. Everything was perfect! Would definitely come back to this neighborhood gem!

We went here for our anniversary dinner . The service was amazing. The food is very fresh and tasty. The martini made me forgot my hat The hostess called and held it for me.

The Comstock Saloon is a very cute restaurant that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. The theming was beautiful and ornate, and the food was overall pretty good. The pricing is about on-par with what you would expect in the city, but the portions are a bit smaller than what you would expect for the price. Be sure to book a reservation, as the place is packed full at opening!

Good food, good music, exceptional service. Thank you to Host Michael and server Stephanie for a wonderful night. We will be back again, sooner this time.

fusion menu with lots of miso and chili. online menu is not up to date. service was okay - quick food, but a long delay for the check.

i wouldn’t want to go back for brunch, but if you’re looking for a bar with okay food - this might be the place.

A hidden gem right off of Columbus Street. I’ve been living here for years and had no idea this place with an authentic old-time saloon feel existed.

Live music only added to a great experience!

Small portions but good taste

The place looks great! Clean and old school charm. The food was outstanding! I was expecting good, but it blew me away! Presentation was gorgeous and flavor was big! I had the croque madame and my date had the vegetarian eggs Benedict. Try this place you won’t be disappointed.

Birthday celebration

While the quality of drinks and the location can’t be beat... the incredibly condescending service by the bartenders and I think servers (hostess/manager?) can’t be ignored either. This place needs to step up customer service value here and remember not everyone are tourists. Some of us actually are locals that used to appreciate the craftsmanship of cocktails.... I can go elsewhere however if the service continues this way.

Great atmosphere and great food!!

One of my favorite places in North Beach. This time, our server was totally clueless and had to ask us to repeat our drink orders 3 times even after writing it down. She took our food menus when we hadn't ordered food yet, brought us forks and plates twice, couldn't answer any questions about food or drinks. Our best guess was that she was high. The drinks and ambiance are always great but the food was only OK, especially for the higher prices.

The host was so friendly and accommodating. We went for the live jazz. Amazing date night.

One of my favorite restaurants; however, the new dinner menu is quite disconnected. I always love brunch here, cocktails, and the service is INCREDIBLE. I'll be back, but not likely for dinner.
