Good, but so loud we could not talk well.
We went here for our anniversary dinner . The service was amazing. The food is very fresh and tasty. The martini made me forgot my hat The hostess called and held it for me.
A wonderful brunch with equally outstanding service!
Great brunch spot! Go for the pimms cup/pitcher...delicious!!!
The Comstock Saloon is a very cute restaurant that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. The theming was beautiful and ornate, and the food was overall pretty good. The pricing is about on-par with what you would expect in the city, but the portions are a bit smaller than what you would expect for the price. Be sure to book a reservation, as the place is packed full at opening!
Good food, good music, exceptional service. Thank you to Host Michael and server Stephanie for a wonderful night. We will be back again, sooner this time.
fusion menu with lots of miso and chili. online menu is not up to date. service was okay - quick food, but a long delay for the check.
i wouldn’t want to go back for brunch, but if you’re looking for a bar with okay food - this might be the place.
A hidden gem right off of Columbus Street. I’ve been living here for years and had no idea this place with an authentic old-time saloon feel existed.
Live music only added to a great experience!
I’ll be coming back.
Small portions but good taste
The place looks great! Clean and old school charm. The food was outstanding! I was expecting good, but it blew me away! Presentation was gorgeous and flavor was big! I had the croque madame and my date had the vegetarian eggs Benedict. Try this place you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic brunch service. Tasty drinks and delicious food. Highly recommend the churros. Will return soon!!
Great atmosphere and great food!!
One of my favorite places in North Beach. This time, our server was totally clueless and had to ask us to repeat our drink orders 3 times even after writing it down. She took our food menus when we hadn't ordered food yet, brought us forks and plates twice, couldn't answer any questions about food or drinks. Our best guess was that she was high. The drinks and ambiance are always great but the food was only OK, especially for the higher prices.
The host was so friendly and accommodating. We went for the live jazz. Amazing date night.
Unique and fun menu! Food was delicious!!!!!
It’s a caviar lovers dream!!! You can have it so many ways! The cocktails are on point and very reasonable for San Francisco :)
Such a fun spot... Food and service was fantastic! Great music!!
Amazing service and live music. Some of the best food I have found in the city thus far.
Awesome drinks, awesome service, and very solid food. A great Sunday brunch spot!
One of my favorite restaurants; however, the new dinner menu is quite disconnected. I always love brunch here, cocktails, and the service is INCREDIBLE. I'll be back, but not likely for dinner.
Super happy to finally check it out. Can’t wait to come back for dinner! Great service!
perfect food, especially as a hangover cure. Great ambiance, in a great neighborhood if you want to explore the area. Will definitely visit again!
Great place to enjoy a drink and good food with a live band
Delicious food, excellent service and splendid cocktails. Be sure to book a table for this one
I absolutely loved it! Exceptional customer service, beautiful presentation of the food and cocktails. I will be coming back again! Thank you team for everything!!
The evening began with the host staff bad mouthing some customers who were at the table they intended to put my reservation at. I can see how that might garner good will from other customers, but I though it was rude. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation, which is in my opinion perfectly reasonable and not worth all the fuss. The food was fine, the tofu especially is a tasty vegetarian option, and the Chex and onion dip are delicious. The drinks were very good, but after taking our order our server disappeared for about 30 minutes. It took some time to flag someone down for a second round and then about 10 minutes for the drinks to be delivered. So service was slower than I would have liked. It was ok, but for the pricing here I expected things to be a little more on point. Fair warning, this place is LOUD. If you are looking for a good place to have conversation, this is not it.
Great service, really good service and the best Sazurac outside of New Orleans
After a long drive stuck in traffic, I just wish Service would have been more attentive. The cocktails were great but they forgot three drinks over the span of our evening.
Food arrived in a hodge-podge order, with eve our side of rice not arriving until well after the dish it was supposed to accompany.
They even forgot to enter one of the dishes we ordered, which was fine since at that point we decided to leave and have dessert elsewhere.
This place is great for drinks and snacks, but maybe over-rated for a meal.
The burger and the sweet & sour chicken were however very tasty.
Chef Jason Raffin's creativeness and execution, along with excellent service from staff makes Comstock Saloon a guaranteed destination restaurant in San Francisco.
Top notch cocktails and burgers. The brussel sprouts were cravable. Will be back!
A consistent fave!
Perfect happy hour spot. Loved it!
Space, music and host were all great! Tofu parm was horrible unfortunately. Apps were good.
I would recommend the Comstock Saloon with one caveat. You need to bring ear plugs. The Music was pretty bad and soooo loud we couldn't wait to leave.
Amazing food and pitcher of Pimms Cup. We loved the choices and variety of their brunch menu. I'll definitely be back for more!
This is a fascinating, historic place with a very cool fusion menu, reflecting its location between Italian and Chinese neighborhoods. It's an antique-lover's delight -- contrasted with the cutting-edge menu. I had a Benedict that featured a crisp sort of brioche stuffed with Char Siu bbq pork, blanketed in a very good Hollandaise. Though the brunch menu seems a bit limited, the food is so good! I will be back here again.
interesting food and fun, relaxed vine... great before going out in North Beach
I typically enjoy my experiences at Comstock, but my last visit was not typical. First, they tried to give us a table literally at the door, even though most all of the booths were free. I asked for another seating and they would only give us a table in the back that was very tightly squeezed next to another large group. So much for private conversations. Also, service when ordering was also off this time. Orders came out wrong, and communications crossed. Based on passed experiences I will give probably still give them another try, just not quite yet. Need to let the 'crankiness' of the experience subside.
