I had a meal off the specials menu, which was delicious, but the other folks I was with ordered off the usual menu and they were disappointed. Also the sides were not as expected - the "slow roasted green beans" came in a tomato sauce? - but they were tasty.
Excellent service and food - great value for money.
Great food. Great service
It's a solid place to eat -- good food and drink selection with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Everyone was really nice and it was very casual. I can’t say that any of the food was great but it was ok.
We had ribs, Mac , peanut salad and pulled pork.
Wish the plates were a little bigger so the food doesn't fall off when you pick up a sandwich or try to cut something.
An absolute gem in Cambridge. Friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere, and the food and drinks were fantastic. Go eat here.
I had the snarkiest bartender/waitress imaginable. The thai peanut salad was far too sweet. The slaw was unremarkable. Only the brocolli stood out. Wish I had gone to shy bird instead!
Prompt, friendly and attentive service, super delicious comfort food. Perfect night out!
We had a great time! Our older guests complained of the noise, which was significant, but added to the vibe of the place.
Food was delicious. Our waiter, Andrew, was awesome as was rest of staff. Very friendly & welcoming. Nice atmosphere. Liked that menu was limited in choices so not overwhelming but had something for everyone. We ordered 1/2 roasted chicken and grilled salmon entrees and we both loved our dishes. Highly recommend!
Outside seating on a beautiful day. Great time had by all
A smiling hostess to greet us and outdoor seating make a great one-two combo to start any meal out. My daughter liked the vegan dish and, more than that, was so impressed that there was something thoughtfully crafted that suited her. Shirley Temples that did not look like they came from a kitchen scene of the Jetsons were welcome and reassuring. The chicken wings were great - tasty tasty rub - reminds me of a beef jerky rub from long ago that i can't put my finger on. And the wings oddly tasted even better the next day as left overs. The pulled pork was a favorite for sure. It was about room temperature when served - I am not sure if that was intentional or not, but fine just the same. The ribs were decent and surprisingly meaty without being too fatty, and kudos are always paid for not using a sweet tomato based KC style marinade/sauce; but hard for us to be wicked impressed with any ribs outside of our house (we have a great baby backs recipe from Alton Brown that we use). The salad that had the cream filled cheese was awesome - along with the sweet relish. And the deserts? - the ice creams and the sorbet.... so fresh, so natural, so real! some day I may just come and order deserts. Definitely a highlight. Little things, often in the realm of service, are so important; eg, taking the leftovers off the table and packaging them inside (as opposed to dropping some random, empty styrofoam containers on our table) felt so Right and Good. And Phil is the best, of course! - inviting, fun, courteous, and thoughtful.
Outstanding food, great service, and wonderful outside seating area!
very glad this place is back! Terrific wait staff, food and wine!
Service was wonderful, the kitchen was a little behind and they offered us extra appetizers as we waited (which didn’t end up even being that long). We all enjoyed our meals and the delicious cocktails.
Their food is incredible - especially the BBQ items! The staff has always been incredibly friendly every time I've dined here as well! So happy that they're back!
This place is awesome! I love going for drinks indoor and outdoor, and the waiters are amazing! Highly recommend
Really great food, service, and decor. Great cocktails.
The drinks were great, as usual, but the food was disappointing. I imagine it’s part of the woes of re-opening and retraining staff. For example, our food was not hot, meaning it was ready to go long before it was delivered. But we know they can do better, so we’ll be back
It was nice to be able to have a meal with family/friends in an outdoor setting--chose Commonwealth because of the tent (and concerns about the weather). They have mostly picnic tables, but they brought a chair for the person in our party who really couldn't climb over the bench. In fact, the service was exceptional and so friendly. The food was fine, nothing exceptional, but definitely paired well with great drinks. I think pre-pandemic, would have been a great spot to have drinks and nibbles after work, though keep in mind it was quite loud, even under the tent. Not really a foodie destination but everyone in our group had fun.
The menu was limited but portions were a good size. There were mice running around the periphery of the tent which made it a little unappetizing.
Fantastic food, large open patio area for safe, socially distanced, outdoor dining. Will definitely be back!
Good! Cute outdoor picnic tables. Service was good, attentive. Burger was quite large & rich, should have split it for two ppl. The corn dip app & octopus app were also yummy. Wasn’t a fan of the violet cocktail though, tasted like Pez.
Great spot! Love their burger and homemade icecream! The toasted coconut is the best!
Best service we have had throughout quarantine. Environment felt clean and well-sanitized and staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Would eat here again any night!
Experience was excellent. The food was well prepared and priced reasonably.
Everything was superb. The food was terrific, and the burger was really memorable. The cocktails were yummy; they have some very inventive options, which really appealed to our flavor profiles. Desserts were incredible and the homemade ice cream is not to be missed. Some of the best ice cream in the city. Would go back in a heartbeat!
Food was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful, clean and well spaced for covid-19 precautions.
I was very pleased with the overall handling of COVID issues. Felt very safe yet the atmosphere on the patio was pleasant and natural.
The server was friendly and attentive.
I had the smoked/grilled wings, and although the flavor was great they lacked the crusty/crunchy exterior usually found in grilled foods. The Thai peanut salad was tasty but I had a hard time finding peanuts. My husband had salmon and liked it a lot.
Great service, amazing location, fantastic food!
Commonwealth are re-entering the COVID-19 dining landscape well : keep it up !!
First night out since covid. great people however with the vibe of figuring out what eating out is in phase 2 of covid reopening. Food was good. Casual and comfortable atmosphere. Location is great.
You’re paying for the location/outdoor venue. They’re charging prices that I would expect at a higher end place with more interesting food/drink.
It was a great first-time experience. The food was great!
My husband loves their duck casselet. My stake was good. We had carrot cheese cake, which was too sweet for me. I liked coconut and pineapple sorbet combination, which gave it nice piña coladaesque flavor but my husband was a bit disappointed. Decent cappuccino.
Wonderful food and service!
Food was amazing!
Excellent service. The only thing I didn't love was the duck fat fries -- that said, I prefer skinny fries over wedge fries. Really enjoyed everything else we ordered: the grilled octopus, the mussels, roast cauliflower, and the coffee cookies n' cream ice cream for dessert.
I love the feel of the place, the atmosphere and decor is cool. Great drink menu, servers are very friendly, and the food is pretty good. But, I think it's a little pricey. If it wasn't in Kendall Square I would imagine it would be cheaper. But, definitely won't keep me from going there if I'm in the area!
