The food and service was excellent. Great wine choices. It was pretty quiet - but it was Christmas day; the last time I was there it was hopping.
We had a Nosh tower. Our picks were delicious! The drinks were innovative and tasty but not outstanding. Cute decor, especially in the back. Nice atmosphere. Will be back.
Caught a delicious dinner here before a show. Very trendy scene.
Food was elevated and reasonably priced.
Waitstaff was very friendly, energetic, and accommodating. Special praises to Connor.
Wonderful space, great ambiance and good food and cocktails. Not too noisy
Portion to price ratio was too small. Steak was great and donuts were amazing! Everything tasted great, just wanted more for how much I was charged. Service was 5 stars!
Food was plentiful and delicious. We had the fixed price pre theater dinner. Appetizers were exceptional. Entrees really tasty and dessert outstanding (chocolate bomb). We had sufficient time to enjoy our meal and make it to the theater with time to spare.
The food was superb and the service attentive.
This is our third trip to Commons Club. As always, the food was on-point. Tasty, innovative, well-presented. I usually don't eat wings, but friends were with us and they ordered them - WOW. I will definitely order them next time. Crispy and juicy...just right.
Now - there was one problem. Maybe it's a new bartender or a bad night. I don't know. But Half of the drinks we ordered were SERIOUS under pours. One we sent back, and it was only remedied slightly. Extremely disappointing!
Loud but very cool
A must visit in Chicago. Food that will set you back on your heels, but won't empty your wallet.
The menu was appalling. We left and went somewhere else.
The DJ was a little too loud. And we were sitting at the furthest point from the DJ, so it was just a little too high of volume...even though it wasn't crowded in there.
The wild mushrooms were amazing! Already craving them!!!!
So quaint and beautiful! Great place for drinks and small bites!!
We had a great time!
The music, food, game(s)playing ... the drinks!
We laughed and smile through out the night!
Your staff was top notch!
We were looking forward to a good meal at The Commons Club. While the waitress was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was so noisy due to some shouting women at a table next to ours and the ridiculously loud, blaring, hip hop music being played by a DJ, that we could not hear each other. The louder the music got, the louder the women got!
We asked the waitress to try to turn the music down a bit which she did but it eventually got even louder. A DJ playing loud hip hop music in a restaurant seems a bit ridiculous.
The food was OK but nothing special.
Delicious, innovative food. Creative unique drinks.
Go for drinks, dont make the mistake of going to this hotel bar for a nice dinner. Portions were very small and poorly executed
Innovated cuisine. Many dishes are very spicy, so inquire prior to ordering if you can't have heat.
Returning to Commons Club after a an amazing NewYears Eve dinner. Again, loved it. Food was exquisitely prepared, fresh ingredients, exposing with flavor. A visit to our table by sous-chef Justin Gomes was a nice final touch to a wonderful dining experience....
Uneven food: great olives and breads, excellent salmon, but fat and burnt braised beef; pineapple cake for dessert was bland and well below expectations.
The menu was quite diverse and the food was excellent. The atmosphere is unique in a positive way. Love the fact they brought the check in a book as opposed to your typical check holder.
Great service and boozy drinks.
The food was delicious and the ambiance enjoyable as well.
Courteous and professional staff. Good recommendations great food.
Told the restaurant it was a special occasion via open table 3 different times when they sent emails asking. The restaurant didn't acknowledge the event. The food appetizers were okay the main courses where phenomenal. Unfortunately, the service ruined a special night in the city.
I was so pleasantly surprised at the menu choices. And they were presented so well. Connor, was truly remarkable with his knowledge of the meal along with great wine pairing. I would highly recommend if you like to have food that is prepared in a 5 star restaurant. Have already recommended to friends in the area along with people staying at the hotel. Very, very good. I had the pork belly with a side of fennel salad. Something I would never had ordered on my own. Connor chose for me!!!
Thank you Connor, Kimberley Anderson
Fun place to hit before a show at Chicago Theater. A little Loud for conversation.
The food was fabulous and we liked the atmosphere. I asked them to surprise my husband w/a favorite dessert and the chef created something delicious. We will definitely return the next time we have theater tickets.
We were not expecting much by way of dining as we considered this to be more of a cocktail lounge. However, we were very pleased with our meal. The mushroom starter was exceptional, but the crab toasts need more zing. We odered the short ribs and the filet, both had flavorful sauces and veges. We also ordered the fried cauliflower and brussel sprouts. It was a quiet early Sunday evening so don't know how the place is on Saturday or week nights. We will definitely be back.
Good food spicy which I like but my husband less. Interesting menu. Attentive service. Food comes out of the kitchen very fast. We asked to order to get the menus out and food rapidly followed. Vibrant and a bit noisy but nice atmosphere.
Great date night place. One of the best burgers I have eaten. Tasty cocktails.
What a fun place! Great atmosphere, high energy. Food was so good, started with the best burrata I've ever had, covered with blueberries, who knew? My wife and I split the lamb chops and the scallops, not sure which was better. Portions were a little small for the price, but the flavors, wow.
A new kitchen, one month, performed well. Most people go there for hamburgers or small plates, but the more elaborate dishes shine. Unusual atmosphere. Bar, millennial , and meeting place plus restaurant
Our server, Connor, was knowledgeable and fun. He made great recommendations. The food was delicious. Will definitely go back the next time I am in Chicago!
What a surprise! Someone mentioned we should check it out...what a great recommendation. Awesome food and cocktails and ambiance to boot. Service was friendly and natural. Would highly recommend and will most definitely be back.
