If I could give our waitress a zero I would. It took over 20min for a drink order (after we asked the manager). Food was mediocre and half of our orders came out in correctly or not at all. Honestly has better expectations for this place after having been here many times for just drinks, I wouldn’t bother going for food.
Nice venue - good food - friendly service - BUT the seats at the tables (not booths) are incredibly uncomfortable. It makes the meal quite difficult to enjoy. Simply adding cushions would change it entirely.
Food, drinks and service were excellent. Would definitely go back. The lamb and pork were highlights
We were rushed through our Mother's Day Brunch Lunch which was extremely disappointing. Our reservation was for 2:300, I called on 2 occasions to confirm the reservation and at NO time was I told that the kitchen closed the bruch portion at 2:30. Even though we had a 2:30 reservation we were not seated until 3:00. One of the first things we ordered was not available, the waitress told us if we wanted dessert to order it when we ordered our main course. I love the oatmeal at Committee, it is what I always order and I was very disappointed with it this visit. It was served luke warm and had little to no figs or philo on it. The manager did comp us drinks and dessert, but overall it was a disappointing visit. I live in Boston, and our friends were visiting from RI, highly unlikely that we will return.
went for dinner with a party of 6 on a Saturday night. Very hip scene. Love the decor and long high top tables. But super loud as the bar was super crowded so a bit hard to talk to our group. Food was great and we loved sharing the tapas - some of the dishes were very small and hard to share but everything tasted amazing.
A really disappointing experience - nothing about the physical space lends itself to be being in a Greek restaurant. The service was incredibly slow - 15 to 20-minute waits between small plate dishes being served; 50-minute wait to get our main course from the time our order was placed. Our waiter never checked in with us to either 1) update us on status of our order or 2) apologize for the tardiness of its arrival. There are far better and truly authentic Greek culinary experiences to be enjoyed in Boston.
Excellent food and service - a great place to connect and try the food and share great conversations!
Food and staff are amazing. I went two of three nights spent in Boston. Interior looks warm and lovely but suffers from having only hard surfaces and is crazy loud. Great for having conversations you don’t want anyone to hear.
Everything was fabulous- from the service, to the food. Our dishes came out quickly, and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The only thing which might be improved was the noise level- the music was fairly loud.
We love committee, which is why we chose to go there for our anniversary. We were disappointed to find it was a one day menu. Mostly because I’m Greek and was looking SO forward to getting a bougatsa. It’s alright because the dulce de leche pancakes were bomb. We’ll be back soon for bougatsa.
Everything was excellent - food, service and cocktails! We got an early dinner and it was good for conversation. The place becomes more lively as it gets later. We got the octopus, lamb souvlaki, pork belly buns and the spinach dip. It was way more than we could finish and had things to go. Would recommend 2 or 3 dishes for 2 people.
Let me start with the good, the drinks. The "Aint Nothing to MEZ With" was great.
The bad, the food. Cheap, hole in the wall Greek places are amazing so I assumed an upscale, expensive, "place to be seen" restaurant would be even better.
The olives were great and the hummus was good.
The caramelized onion pie was bitter and just not very great. Very strong flavor obviously.
The Artichoke Moussaka was the best thing we received. It was tough to eat after the onion pie. Not as strong of a flavor.
Now, the Bao "Gyro", thinking back on it this was a reckless choice. It had way too much of the Big Mac sauce in it. The Pork Belly was good.
Two to three entrees per person is what they say at all tapas places to get you to spend more money. Our party had two, we ordered four, and we didn't even want the forth thing we received which was the Souvlaki. I don't remember if it was because I was full or if it was because it was large extra chewy pieces of meat. It tasted alright but honestly nothing special, just cut up pieces of meat on a skewer.
I don't do this normally but I spent $140, it was the first date I've had in a while with my girlfriend and just feel like maybe its ok to tell a restaurant I was disappointed. Maybe I have terrible taste, I have no idea. The inside of the place was cool and our server was very nice and helpful.
Very good Mediterranean and Greek food in a large and very noisy space.
Excellent atmosphere and food
Committee has a cool modern industrial vibe. Our waiter was very nice. Food tastes great despite portion on the smaller side.
Food was delicious and our server was very good. A bit loud but it didn’t ruin our experience. Will definitely return!!
Big space, loved the openness. Lots of good food. Perfect for sharing!
Food bites were excellent! Everything delicious! The noise level was really loud, so difficult to have a conversation with the friends we were dining with. Very loud! Server forgot about us for a long time so we flagged him down...but all in all, tasty bites. Will go back but try for an earlier weekday and time.
One of the best restaurants in town. Popular for a reason.
A wonderful Greek/Mediterranean small plates restaurant near the water front in Boston. The food was exceptionally well done, from the complimentary yogurt/carrot/harissa starter to the Greek coffee rubbed pork chop (delicious, salty, savory coffee crust and juicy, tender middle!) Our server was very knowledgeable about the food, wine and spirits pairings and only missed scoring a 5 star due to an overly long gap between the ordering of our after dinner drinks/desserts and their delivery (20 minutes). Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back next time we are in Boston!
Committee never disappoints. Great food and excellent service!
Nice space. like the pipe-style lighting.
The food was pretty good. I was excited about the octopus but thought it was a bit dry. the Pork chop was delicious! the sear and crisp outside was really nice!
Nothing we tried was "orgasmic" but all was good!
it got crowded towards 10ish and people started crowding around our table, that was kid of annoying. Maybe the dinner area and the "bar" area needs to be better sectioned off.
staff was prompt and nice!
We were with a party of 8 - while I appreciate an energetic atmosphere- it was impossible to hear even the person sitting next to me. Food was really good - although I wish there were family style options for the veggie dishes as well. Meat platter was beautiful- but all the red meat was a little over cooked IMO. There was also too much ground beef on the platter.
I always have a great experience when I come here. It has a fun vibe! The food is always good and the service is consistently great! I love the feta, brussel sprouts, and lamb!
We love the food and ambiance at Committee as well as the location. We would go more often if the noise level was lower.
The music was too loud for a luncheon to catch up with friends.
The music choice is awful. Should be Grecian/Mediterranean, Classical, Jazz... not Michael Jackson, pop...
Over priced, underwhelming food, loud environment, very pleasant server.
We let our waitress know that one in our party had a shellfish allergy, and rather than telling us right away which dishes we could order (ones that wouldn't have touched the grill with shellfish), she let us go through countless options of ordering only to say "that's on the same grill" over and over again. It was maddening and confusing and totally unprofessional. The food was pretty good but not amazing and the prices were way too high for what it was portion and quality-wise (tiny portions to share, and mediocre quality). I only ordered seltzer and we didn't have dessert, and with tip, the night cost me $75 for what felt like a bunch of appetizers, many of which my shellish allergic friend couldn't eat. I won't go back- not with a group, anyway.
Tonight was a beyond exceptional experience for me and my girlfriend! This was our first dinner date here after sharing an equally memorable lunch sometime ago. We had to make time in our busy schedules to come back! Aside from the variety of amazing Mediterranean/Greek tapas arrangements, we were completely wowed by our wonderful and charming server Nadine who remembered us from our first visit! We were so excited to see her and to be assisted by her this time again! Nadine was thoughtful and considerate in offering perfect suggestions, pairings, and entrees as we embarked on another delightful date together over food and wine. It is the wonderful folks at Committee like Nadine who not only do an amazing job at the service she provides but also the relationships she so easily fosters with guests that makes this place an absolute amazing restaurant and bar to dine and visit! Thank you Nadine and greater Committee staff! You’ve really made a wonderfully warm and lasting impression on us! See you soon!
Incredible food! Tapas delight! Great place for a date and a drink.
Fabulous service, absolutely beautiful restaurant, great food and value. Highly recommend!
great place to meet up with friends and share small plates of Greek and Mediterranean mezes. everything we had was delicious and the staff was on point. will definitely bookmark this as a favorite spot. oh, the music, old school hip-hop & r&b in the background, like Biggie, Tupac, Aaliyah...puts the cherry on top.
We went to the restaurant as we had a brief stay in Boston and this place was close to the hotel.
We were very happy with the selction. Everything we ordered was delicious.
It is small plate concept so the serving sizes were small.
Our hostess was very friendly!
Highly recommend the place.
Yummy food and great service. Convenient parking garage steps from entrance
The music was WAY too loud and we could not hear ourselves talk. The people at the bar next to us were bumping into our table. I think we are just too old for this place. The music was terrible also. But the food and service were terrific.
Everything was awesome, I was concerned going with two kids, but they loved the food. Highly recommend this place
Food continues to be quite good and creative. Service was excellent. Noise is close to unbearable. Leaving after eating is like a breath of fresh air, as the incessant pounding on patrons' ears quickly disappears. Management appears to have little concern for the noise problem, which is encouraged by hard surfaces everywhere in the bar and dining areas. Will not return until patio seating again becomes available.
Dined with two colleagues from out of town. One was vegan and if usually relegated to salad and pasta at most restaurants. The Committee offered many great and interesting vegan options.
