Birthday - our waitress handled our large group so great
Great food, great atmosphere! Would highly recommend
Brunch was very enjoyable
Very eclectic decor and vibe in this place. We were meeting friends that live in DC, here for dinner. They had never heard of the place but ventured out to the Logan Circle area to meet us ad we all enjoyed our dinner. Quality food, great service and creative cocktails. We would definitely eat here again.
The food was great and Natalie our server was so sweet! In town for a vacation and took our two little girls. Everyone was happy! Would definitely recommend
Great service, our waitress was very nice! The food was okay. Loved the decor.
Friendly staff, no wait time, seated promptly and food was delicious.
Great, tasty vegetarian options! Very much enjoyed the lively atmosphere and ambiance!
We were around 5 minutes late due to DC traffic (left early but so it goes). The check in person was polite and seated us promptly. The noise level was high but lively. The atmosphere was rather dark but supported a friendly ambiance. My wife and I were visiting our son who is in college in DC. The menu was a nice mix of casual choices and a few higher level entrees. I went for the margherita pizza, my son had the burger and fries and my wife had a salad with salmon. For dessert my wife shared the peanut butter pie. I also ordered the house spicy margarita. The female server was friendly, and attentive while working quite a number of other tables. She did a very good job.
The food came out of the kitchen promptly and was served hot. My pizza was OK. The sauce had minimal seasoning and the crust was rather soft, not crispy. My son wolfed down his burger and fries (like most college kids). My wife said her salad and salmon was "good". The spicy margarita was quite enjoyable. It tasted fresh, not with a commercial pre-made mixer, and the heat was definitely present but not overwhelming for me. The peanut butter pie was excellent, cold, creamy and mixed with a chocolate slightly crunchy crust. Highly recommended. The price was very reasonable for DC. Overall, a positive experience.
The server was nice and was easy to talk to. Had the maple chicken and it was good, but the sides were a small portion. However, I had to wait a few minutes to get a table, even though there were plenty of tables open and I arrived on time.
Came back specifically for the Mac and cheese, and it was worth it!
Food, atmosphere and most of all our waitperson Natalie was all wonderful
The food was overall average but we got mediocre service even though there weren't many other diners mid week.
excellent food, great service and wonderful ambiance. my geoup had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the place
My omelet was not runny but not overcooked and they accommodated my mom's request for extra crispy bacon and home fries. It was a fun, comfortable place for breakfast/brunch and we all enjoyed our food.
Great neighborhood place that is bustling with activity. Great food and drinks!
We enjoyed our breakfast at the Commissary. Thankfully we made reservations! Everything was tasty and the service was prompt and friendly. Only caveat was the pricing. $12 for a slice of toast with a thin smear of cream cheese and 3 thin slices of salmon. If it came with a side of fruit like the B.E.L.T. the value would've been on par! Otherwise I'd be happy to eat there any time.
The food and service are the best I’ve had in a long time at any restaurant. I’ll be coming back again and have referred friends there for a private event.
Great food and ambience!
Food and drinks were great. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Service was perfect. The rose garden inside was cute but not anything more than pink flowers strung around.
Great food- great experience.
Sat outside - it was great!
Menu was innovative and absolutely delicious. The fish tacos were the best we’ve ever had, the fish was perfect. Delaney, our server, was a delight! Perfect evening.
We waited 15 minutes just for drinks, and then another HOUR for food after ordering. When it arrived, the food was overcooked as if it had been sitting under a lamp for most of the hour we waited. The table to our right sent their food back. The table to our left had three diners and, when their three dishes came out, none of them were what they ordered. The food generally tasted fine, but you simply can't recover from that kind of bad service. We won't be back and I imagine the people sitting at the tables around us won't be back, either. Awful.
The dinner for 2 deal was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the Brussel sprouts. We received great service and had great food.
Great atmosphere with excellent service! I would definitely return if I return to DC.
We were visiting from NY-we did the couples tasting menu for two- great value! We had the shrimp and Brussels as appetizers and then for dinner did the maple brined fried chicken and short ribs. For dessert we did the carrot cake. The atmosphere was nice yet relaxed. Good food...probably not the most amazing for that for area but worth a stop!
Great Food! Had an excellent Signature-Burger, perfectly done medium-rare! And the Cheescake and Carrotcake dessert was wonderful, so was our server Lucy :-) Go there and enjoy good american food, beers and a great and helpful staff!
Wonderful meal and exceptional service from Natalie, who balanced our meal while handling a table of 20 without missing a beat. When you dine here the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts are a must, as are the Broulet Cheesecake and the Carrot Cake. Portions are generous and food quality superb. Bring a good appetite and prepare to take home leftovers!
Very good and Natalie was a terrific waitresses
Hostess was not friendly. Waitress was not very attentive. I believe our table ran out of beverages several times. The food was very good. The restaurant is simply a bar masked as a restaurant.
Still a local gem after so many years. Great service and good price point for food and drinks.
Food and service were great, the only thing that would have made brunch better is a bottomless mimosa deal.
Our waiter, Blake, was great and we loved the neighborhood! Food was good overall and the restaurant wasn't too noisy...we could still have a conversation with our friends across the table.
Great brunch & happy hour. Cozy seating & friendly staff.
Just down the block from Studio Theater. Was a little loud.
Made us feel very welcome. Everybody seemed so pleased to serve us. We will be back!!
The staff and chef were very attentive of the dietary concerns of my friend with celiac’s disease. On top of that, the food was served quickly and tasted delicious!
Dan our waiter was amazing. It was my wife's birthday and without asking he got her a drink on the house. Would definitely come back next time in town. 5 stars.
I came here for a fun Monday brunch on Presidents’ Day. I was running a little late and called ahead to let them know and the staff was really accommodating. We had a slight “oops” when the mimosas tipped off the tray on one of my friends while the waitress was trying to serve them. Other than that it was a really enjoyable brunch, friendly staff and nice restaurant as a whole.
