Took my staff of loan officers here after a long day of training. We had a great time and the food was great. We had the filet, NY strip, fish, and shrimp pasta. We even got a sample of desserts and all ate some. This was my first experience here, and I will definitely be back.
It was a first visit. The staff was accommodating about our reservation time due to a plane delay and we really appreciated this. The food was prepared as ordered. The waiter was friendly and efficient. Due to the restaurant being in an older building the noise was louder than expected.
Defaulted, again, to the shrimp and grits for lunch, always excellent!
I had the Caesar salad with salmon. The salad was smothered in dressing, the salad itself was really just a side salad, and the portion of salmon was too small for the amount of the upcharge. I wanted a healthy alternative to a greasy burger. Instead, I had a meal where most of the nutrition came from fat from the salad dressing. Hardly a healthy alternative.
The food was great! We’ll definitely be back!
This was our first time coming and it was a great experience. Our server, the food and the atmosphere was great. The seating area inside is small but made for an intimate setting.
We love Commerce! The ambience was great, we sat outside and enjoyed the lights in the trees. Loved the charcuterrie board and shrimp and grits!
We have dined at Commerce Kitchen for years. Over the last year, something has changed. The food quality and selection has declined. The servers are nice and helpful, but several menu items have been removed or the preparation altered. Sorry to say, but after more than one disappointing visit, we will not be returning anytime soon.
It was just amazing all around. Food was great, drinks and so was the ambiance.
phenomenal fried green tomatoes. some of the best Ive ever had. Coffee encrusted steak was delicious. Well done. I'll be back
We loved everything about our dinner experience. Our waiter made sure that our wedding anniversary dinner was everything and more.
The chicken fried steak was not the best dish. It was more like a frozen chicken patty with gravy. The shrimp and grits was the best dish with the filet and pork chop in second place. Some of the side dishes were only warm vs hot. We had to remind the waiter to refill the coke drink several times.
Everything was great. Out service was good. I would have liked some bread with my meal but the server did not return after our meal had been delivered so that I could ask. She was extremely friendly.
We started off with Fried Green Tomatoes and they were AMAZING. When inquiring about a new drink she offered up a Hibiscus Martini & it was unbelievably yummy!! We dined outside and it had a great atmosphere. Lastly, the Peanut butter chocolate pie was FANTASTIC! I've been dreaming about it since we left!!!
Terrific food and excellent service. Never have a bad meal here.
Pasta with vegetables was disappointing because the vegetables were barely there. Onion soup ok but not great and not hot. 2 hrs to get our food once seated. Delicious crab cakes but not the crab dip.
Best fried green tomatoes in a wonderful crispy batter. Delicious lamb “lollipops” served with mashed potatoes with cambazola cheese and grilled asparagus. Very nice seared ahi tuna served on a attractive bed of greens. Scrumptious chocolate pecan tart. Relaxing ambiance in a restored storefront in historic downtown Huntsville.
Normally the service there is pretty bad but this time it was amazing. Our server really made the whole day
Delicious food with friendly and attentive service.
Great food for the money and great service
Great lunch with a lovely server. Wish I remembered her name!
Ours server did not do a good job; we had to ask for tea refills and requested some hot sauce and he forgot it and we had to remind him again. He also brought the appetizer out way after we ordered it.
Great service for my wife's 50th birthday. We all enjoyed the evening. The food was good and my wife was particularly pleased with her filet.
Fried Green Tomatoes with Pimento Cheese...a must try! Tomatoes were cooked to perfection topped with Pimento cheese and a wonderful homemade hot sauce. Fabulous!
We brought our adult daughter for a special BIG birthday because you are her favorite restaurant and you did not disappoint!
The food was disappointing, to say the least. I have never been served a martini that was half full. The prices did not reflect the quality of the food. The chicken wasnt done. The lettuce in the salad was soggy. Portions small and the food tastes less than average. They obviously spend more attention on decor and ambiance than the kitchen staff.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!
We had brunch. Breakfast burrito and granola French toast. Food was great. SO said the sausage smoked flavor stayed with her all day but tasted great at the time. No steak and eggs on the brunch menu but not a big deal.
Timely service. Amazing food. Their New York strip was perfectly cooked and we loved the fried chicken bites
Great place, but there isn't access for someone in a wheelchair.
Food and service was tremendous but the noise level for the price and a quiet dinner for 2 was way too much..I guess I would request to sit outside pending weather next time.
Loved it. Delightful atmosphere and scrumptious food. Had a lovely time!
We didn't expect to have to order off the brunch menu at 2:30pm, but okay, no big deal. We split a bowl of soup which was a chicken & sausage gumbo. Very delicious! I got the fried green tomato benedict and my husband got the Twickenham original. My benedict contained some pulled pork that I did not particularly care for, plus one of my poached eggs was a bit undercooked (slimy egg white). I would not order this again. However, I had the grits as a side and those were fantastic. My husband was not crazy about the pancakes because of the texture. The service was prompt and friendly and we will return for dinner at some point to give that a try.
We arrived at the restaurant and it was completely empty. We enjoyed the private time and the food. The pork chop was OK but the steak and sweet potato fries were amazing. We enjoyed our bread putting also
I like the new menu; however on the day we visited for a business meeting the kitchen was very slow even thought the place was mostly empty. All in all it is a good value and a nice place.
The John Dory fish was horrible. It was small, dried out, and unlike John Dory I have had before.
Excellent food, amazing service
The food was simply amazing I got fried green tomatoes with paprika remoulade and pimento cheese that were light crispy with the perfect snap of spice. The shrimp and grits were absolutely to die for. And I got exceptional service from the very charming Maggie who treated me like a VIP in the middle of a very busy evening. I loved it!
I had the shrimp and grits...rich, buttery, salty, cheesy goodness!
