Was a great dinner with good food! Can’t wait to go back.
Very nice restaurant. Atmosphere was perfect. Food was delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The food was delicious and the staff was helpful and friendly!
The most pre occupied server I have encountered in a long time. Did not pay attention to ANYTHING that was asked for, etc. Did not bring what was asked for. Food brought out with items on them that were specifically asked to be omitted. Will not be back for a while!
Good was good as usual- service was greet we were in a hurry-Chloe was our waitress she kept it coming out just in time
Bonus and promotion.
The Sunday night Fancy Meat and Three is the best thing Huntsville has going on any given Sunday Night. The food is amazing and the portions are just enough to give you a taste of every part. The dessert was spectacular!
We were here for NYE dinner. The service was excellent but everything else was just okay. The tables were so close together we were basically eating with our neighbors on each side.
I would come for a lunch but it seemed like they were running out of food for dinner. Our sides were so small. I was disappointed in the bread pudding at the end. It was more of a cranberry cake.
Our meals were fabulous, our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was perfect!
Food for New Year’s Eve was fair at best. Steak not very tasty. Sides were cold.
Dinner for New Year’s Eve for wife and I! Everything was great!
Overall a good experience. Waiter forgot my side that I ordered along with my meal which was disappointing. Another server brought my wife and I our food and I thought our waiter would be right behind to bring my side and see if everything looked right. We didn’t see him for another 10 minutes when we were almost done with our entrees. We were not charged for the side.
Very good food, service could use a bit of work.
The restaurant is difficult to navigate if you are using a wheelchair. The most logical entrance for the wheelchair has a sign on the door that asks all patrons to use the Franklin St door. We went to that door and a waiter told us we would need to come back to the other door to get into the dining room. We got into the dining room and I asked for the restroom. The waiter let me know the restroom is downstairs. The person I was with cannot navigate stairs and must stay in the wheelchair. She decided to forego the restroom. I did step down to the restroom and wondered how we would have gotten the wheelchair in and out if she had decided she needed the restroom. It’s very tight. I understand it’s an old building and that gives the restaurant ambiance, but it’s too much of a hassle if you have a wheelchair.
The food was delicious and the service was good, but the experience loses value when you are trying to navigate with a wheelchair.
Would I recommend the restaurant? Yes, if you don’t have a wheelchair; no, if you do.
My wife and I shared some great appetizers and dessert at a high top by the bar. Great vibe and excellent food.
Overall a good experience. Food was tasty and its a good value for a higher end restaurant. Started with a few cocktails that were made well. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly, crunchy on the ends and moist, not over cooked inside. We ended the night with cappuccino and key lime pie. Both tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and quick with all requests. Its was what’s missing in a lot of Huntsville’s restaurant that we have visited recently.
We took our daughter for her birthday. Our reservation was at 8:30. They service was lacking. They ran out of food and the server asked us to go ahead and put our order in. It felt very rushed.
I’ve been here many times. Today I had avocado toast with scrambled eggs. The avocado was brown and cold… the eggs were cold as well. Definitely not fresh. The manager was grumpy… did not greet us at all. Looked like he was miserable to be there.
Very Nice Christmas Eve meal🎄👍
Attentive service, honest menu suggestions for my friend who was a first time visitor. Enjoyed as always!
Another outstanding experience at commence kitchen. The overall experience is worth it and all of our food and drinks were great.
The ribeye was extremely tough. Ordered medium, and the steak was cooked correctly; however, the quality / tenderness that is usually a hallmark of a good ribeye was not to be found.
I was left wondering if they are having supply issues. Poor quality beef shouldn’t be at a premium beef price point. Flavor of the steak and degree of doneness was spot on - but it was like chewing leather.
Ambiance was great. Service was great as usual. Their food is good. Not sure what is going on with the ribeye steaks, though.
We love Commerce Kitchen for its great food and location. I run a business within walking distance just down the street, and Commerce Kitchen is a favorite place to bring clients and staff.
Food was delicious!!Husband had filet and I had pork chops. All the staff were super nice and very attentive. Pecan pie and ice cream made the evening even better. Highly recommend.
I wouldn't spend the money again. If i'm paying that much, something needs to be great.
Food was in general good - but the steak entre and onion soup app were not super hot. Call it a shade above warm. Maybe chalk that up to two large groups (16+ and 12+) dining at the same time
The service was good, not great but satisfactory. The food was unfortunately lack luster. The salmon I had was over cooked, rice under cooked, and the crème brulee watery as if it had either got water in it during the water bath cooking process or it was made several days ago and the moister from the custard started to separate out from the cream. The guest I was with has shrimp and grits and it was too spicy she almost couldn't eat it. There was no mention of spice. I know spice is a preference and is independently viewed per the person eating a dish, but this however was never mentioned as having spice and her unfortunate experience led to her leaving still hungry. Her red velvet was a bit on the dry side. Very sad. This establishment tends to have good food, but for our Christmas celebration dinner it left much to be wanted and little to be satisfied with.
Had the Sunday dinner special and the pot roast was, wow, incredibly tender and delicious. Excellent collard greens and cornbread too; while some of the other sides were good but not great (mac n cheese, mashed potatoes). Super good value price. Dessert must be really good too, because they ran out of one, and had to take the other home since we were so full. Only drawback was they've squeezed little tables for two between the tables and booths along the walls, so it was a bit claustro not to mention not socially-distanced.
Amazing food and service. Beware of the hightop tables as they are directly in front of the main entrance and can be somewhat cramped and uncomfortable if you are trying to dine with more than two people.
I always look forward to dining at Commerce Kitchen. Hands down, the best shrimp and grits in town. The customer service was great as always; this time it was a little colder than usual though. The vent in our booth was blowing hard directly on my ankles/legs which was a little uncomfortable. I’ll be back for sure!!!
I chose Commerce Kitchen because even a week in advance my two other choices for a restaurant were all booked up, so this was my third choice to take my wife out to dinner for our 38th wedding anniversary. I was looking for a nice quiet place to have a meal with her and give her the 1kt diamond ring I had just bought her. What I got was a very small table in the middle of the isle with two empty booths on one side and a very rowdy, noisy group of co-workers immediately next to our table on the other side. When I asked if we could be reseated in a booth I was told they were reserved for parties of 3 or more. The weather outside was relatively warm for a December evening but the restaurant was cold inside to the point I had to go get my wife's jacket from the car and keep mine on the whole time, plus, the cold a/c air coming out of the vents near the floor under the booths was blowing right on our feet making it even more uncomfortable. I ordered a prime rib meal and the meat was overcooked and dry. Normally I order a prime rib done medium and it is usually very juicy but this one was dry and cooked almost well done. They placed the meat on top of my mashed potatoes which absorbed what little juice there was in the meat making the potatoes look like a bloody mess. The waiter was prompt and kept our drinks full. The food came out fairly quick so no real complaints there. When we left there was a party of TWO in one of the previously empty booths. Later we went to Connor's Steakhouse for desert and I gave my wife the ring there. Much better ambiance for something like that at Connor's. Pretty disappointed with Commerce Kitchen overall. Won't go back unless it's with a group of friends who want to talk really loud, laugh boisterously and generally disrupt a quiet dinner for everyone else.
Everything we ordered was excellent!
Delicious food and wonderful service!
Commerce Kitchen did not have very many vegetarian options but what they did offer was tasty. I ordered the crispy brussel sprouts, a side of parmesan fries and key lime pie. It was very tasty and the dipping sauce for the brussel sprouts was delectable.
The staff should wear nicer outfits!
The Furniture are very worned out! The girl who cleaned the forks on a table right side did not even say „ Good Buy“ or at least smile!
The Salamon war perfect cooked, but very miniature! The Ambiente was nice, but not chic!
The best at all was Connor.. the sweetest, charming waiter since 3 and half years here in the area! He made it up! But you should teach all workers to smile and great people and say thank you at the end!
We were delighted with the Sunday Supper menu. The food was superb and a great value. I always enjoy Commerce Kitchen and this was no different.
Great service! The maître d' (manager?) went out of his way to accommodate us, so we could enjoy our scotch properly.
The Fried Green tomatoes (appetizer) are great! Ordered the dinner special and was very pleased. Cost felt high for the portion size. I appreciated vigilant servers topping up my water, and the waitress was very friendly and helpful.
The food and service were excellent. The only down side was our seating location along the wall across from the bar. We ended up sitting side by side instead of across from each other and the traffic was heavy from incoming patrons and wait staff.
Luncheon with a friend and we always meet at Commerce Kitchen because we can depend on the consistency of great food, expert service and lovely ambiance.
