Fried Green Tomatoes
aioli & hot sauce
Red snapper was tough and hardly edible
fabulous! Fried Green Tomatoes were the best ever!
Sunday “family style” dinner was delicious. $35/person includes three appetizers, main dish with three sides and dessert. Everything was incredible. Patio seating with heaters was perfect for a low 60’s evening.
The drinks and food were fabulous! The NY Strip and Pan Seared Red Snapper were both amazing and even better than we expected them to be! We will definitely be back! Forgot to take pictures of the food but everything was plated beautifully and tasted even better than it looked!
Great food and service! The table was ready when I arrived and the hostess was very friendly. Everything was clean and inviting. The wait staff was helpful and pleasant. Everyone was attentive and efficient.
We love Commerce Kitchen, the food is outstanding and the service is wonderful I just wish they served some kind of bread even if we had to pay for it!!!
The food and service was great !
Seating was prompt, privacy of booth was quite accommodating. Service was hospitable and attentive. Food was delicious and the experience was very pleasant.
Wonderful lunch! Since I had not had breakfast, I opted for a he petite filet with a fried egg on top. Nice, juicy and quiet large filet. So flavorful and tender. I will be having that again!!!!
As usual, the experience at Commerce Kitchen was fantastic! I had friends in from out of town. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful evening. Jeremy was an awesome server!! Love him! I loved the Sunday menu as well. My salmon was perfectly cooked and sides were the perfect compliment.
Waited over 20 minutes for someone to ask for our drink order. Steak was blue when we received it and the shrimp was so over-cooked it was rubbery. The waitress might have came into our section three times the entire time we were there. Hoping this experience was just a fluke because our previous experiences at Commerce Kitchen were fantastic.
Had to send my meal back because my filet wasn't prepared how I ordered and so I was the last one eating with out party.
This was my third visit to Commerce Kitchen. Usually the service is great. This time it was terrible. We ordered drinks and apps when we sat down. 15 minutes later the waiter dropped by to take our entree order, after we finished eating the apps. We ran out of drinks and had to flag our server down.
The food was lackluster and my guests actually grumbled about not letting me pick a dinner place in the future. It was their first visit. Crab cakes and Brussel sprouts are not worth the time. The fried green tomatoes were great. Our mac and cheese side came out lukewarm. Steak was over-cooked. The blackened grouper was great, but the sides (fried okra and grits) were meh.
With all the new places opening up, I doubt I will be back to Commerce Kitchen. My other two visits were ok, but didn’t blow me away.
Consistently great food. Nice atmosphere. Good service.
Always amazing. Great food and service.
Went here for Easter Brunch. as a fixed price menu with plenty of selections. I was quite impressed with the entire experience. I had stuffed French toast. Others in my party had Shrimp and Grits and the Eggs Benedict. I will return to sample the rest of the menu.
Easter Brunch Very good great service and was not loud.
First time there, had great expectations since it was highly rated on Trip Advisor. Had reservations at 6:00 PM April 3rd. We were going to the concert at the VBC at 8, got nervous because even at 7:00 we had not received our dinner yet. Something is wrong if in a hours time you can't get a steak and chicken and crab cake appetizers. We ordered two drinks each, way overpriced for the wine and the domestic beer was high too. Nothing special about the food, have had better crabcakes at almost every restaurant i have ever eaten at.
Excellent food and great service.
We ate outside & it was great!
1st visit and the service was very attentive and polite. The quantity of the main dish was smaller than expected but good.
Steak was over cooked.
It had been a while since we dined here...so glad we returned!
We WILL be back much sooner!
Fabulous in every way!
Great food and service!
Very well-run restaurant with efficient and knowledgeable staff. Food was impeccable. Noise level was uncomfortable for us; will reserve a booth for future visits. Our server Erica was excellent.
Shrimp and grits is simply the best. It is very loud even with a small crowd.
Lunch with a good friend to catch up and get out of the house. Our waiter was very good and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed.
Met a friend for lunch. Sat outdoors. I had a sandwich and my friend had fish tacos- the tacos were served on flat crisp shells that didn’t fold up and, on top of that, the shells were not really very crispy. Have had better experience before.
Shrimp & Grits and red snapper were very good. Steaks were tender and nicely cooked. Could have used some rolls or bread & butter. Wine selection was rather sparse.
Originally made a reservation for a booth only to be shown to a table when we first entered. Complained and was eventually given a booth. Why wasn't our reservation request originally homored?
Great food. Service was a bit slow, so plan on a leisurely meal.
Slow service. My friend ordered "Grandmothers Fried Chicken" deep fried frozen chicken, she did not eat it. Didn't ask for something else, service too slow. Shrimp and grits, tiny appetizer size for main dish. Tables in the center of room, too close. Just bad all over. My husband ordered breakfast, we were there for brunch. Only had wheat toast and charged him $2 for 1 piece of toast, not 2.
Will never return
Service was lacking. Hostess station is facing the wall and not the entrance, so her back was to us for 5 minutes. We had to have a waiter get her attention . We were sat outside and it was cold, when asked to move to a table closer to the outdoor heaters, we were ignored. Finally got moved and had a little bit better waiter, but still service was bad. We had to ask for specials and also for a dessert menu. Food was good, but not worth the bad service.
Very loud and expensive for what you get. Only one restroom for the ladies which is not enough.
The setting, cocktails, service, and food is amazing.
The good is alway excellent, but the Sunday family dinner was an incredible value.
We had wonderful brunch and fantastic service. We will be back when we can stay longer.
We had a reservation for 7 o’clock for a friends birthday. It was the four of us. When I got there to check us in, the hostess explained to me that a party of people have been sitting at our booth that we requested for over two hours, and were not moving. After about 45 minutes, she came up to us and said that there was another booth available to sit at, and gave us an appetizer for free.
When I made the reservation it asked if there was a special occasion, which I did put a birthday. No one mentioned the birthday occasion. Also, when I asked what kind of pasta was on the menu, the waitress didn’t seem to know how to explain it. It said seasonal, so I wondered what kind and what type of sauce. She just said, The seasonal pasta. It came out not very warm and extremely spicy.
We normally love this place, it was extremely busy with not a lot of help. I understand with the pandemic going on they may be a little short staffed. I think we will give it a while until we are back.
Excellent meal with delicious flavors. Attentive and friendly staff.
