Normally the service there is pretty bad but this time it was amazing. Our server really made the whole day
Delicious food with friendly and attentive service.
Great food for the money and great service
Great lunch with a lovely server. Wish I remembered her name!
Ours server did not do a good job; we had to ask for tea refills and requested some hot sauce and he forgot it and we had to remind him again. He also brought the appetizer out way after we ordered it.
Great service for my wife's 50th birthday. We all enjoyed the evening. The food was good and my wife was particularly pleased with her filet.
Fried Green Tomatoes with Pimento Cheese...a must try! Tomatoes were cooked to perfection topped with Pimento cheese and a wonderful homemade hot sauce. Fabulous!
We brought our adult daughter for a special BIG birthday because you are her favorite restaurant and you did not disappoint!
The food was disappointing, to say the least. I have never been served a martini that was half full. The prices did not reflect the quality of the food. The chicken wasnt done. The lettuce in the salad was soggy. Portions small and the food tastes less than average. They obviously spend more attention on decor and ambiance than the kitchen staff.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!
We had brunch. Breakfast burrito and granola French toast. Food was great. SO said the sausage smoked flavor stayed with her all day but tasted great at the time. No steak and eggs on the brunch menu but not a big deal.
Timely service. Amazing food. Their New York strip was perfectly cooked and we loved the fried chicken bites
Great place, but there isn't access for someone in a wheelchair.
Food and service was tremendous but the noise level for the price and a quiet dinner for 2 was way too much..I guess I would request to sit outside pending weather next time.
Loved it. Delightful atmosphere and scrumptious food. Had a lovely time!
We didn't expect to have to order off the brunch menu at 2:30pm, but okay, no big deal. We split a bowl of soup which was a chicken & sausage gumbo. Very delicious! I got the fried green tomato benedict and my husband got the Twickenham original. My benedict contained some pulled pork that I did not particularly care for, plus one of my poached eggs was a bit undercooked (slimy egg white). I would not order this again. However, I had the grits as a side and those were fantastic. My husband was not crazy about the pancakes because of the texture. The service was prompt and friendly and we will return for dinner at some point to give that a try.
We arrived at the restaurant and it was completely empty. We enjoyed the private time and the food. The pork chop was OK but the steak and sweet potato fries were amazing. We enjoyed our bread putting also
I like the new menu; however on the day we visited for a business meeting the kitchen was very slow even thought the place was mostly empty. All in all it is a good value and a nice place.
The John Dory fish was horrible. It was small, dried out, and unlike John Dory I have had before.
Excellent food, amazing service
The food was simply amazing I got fried green tomatoes with paprika remoulade and pimento cheese that were light crispy with the perfect snap of spice. The shrimp and grits were absolutely to die for. And I got exceptional service from the very charming Maggie who treated me like a VIP in the middle of a very busy evening. I loved it!
I had the shrimp and grits...rich, buttery, salty, cheesy goodness!
Southern comfort at its finest! Fried chicken, Pork Chop and bread pudding are amazing
Everything was excellent. Although not a steak house the steak was perfect hot prepared as ordered and required NO seasoning on my part
Will definitely return
The wine list could be stepped up a bit but overall a great place.
Sweet place with a delicious menu.
Heard a lot about this place but in the end just average ☹️
The BEST fried green tomatoes ever! Hubby enjoyed shrimp and grits. I had braised beef tacos which were outstanding. The French onion soup was rich, but a bit salty for me. I enjoyed it anyway. Hubby loved the bourbon chocolate pecan pie. And Timothy was our excellent waiter whose recommendations were spot on! We enjoyed our experience!
Very enjoyable mean, great service, excellent food, good value for the money.
I was very disappointed in the food for the first time in all my many visits to Commerce Kitchen. The entree pecan crusted chicken salad was tiny, and had almost no chicken on it. For $14 I expected much more & in past times of ordering the chicken salad, it was a nice lunch meal. I wound up ordering a side of fried oysters after seeing the salad!! Very disappointed with my meal this time.
There was a large party there when we went and celebrating a birthday. The table was rather loud and unfortunately I could not hear my wife speaking to me from across the table. If you're looking for intimate and quiet this might not be the best place. The food however was amazing and priced accordingly. They had a very nice drink selection and service was spot on.
We were more than an hour getting our lunch.
This was our first time dining here. The food was outstanding, not overly expensive, and the service and ambiance was excellent. My only complaint was my dessert- the chocolate, bourbon, pecan pie. It just was t very good. If you avoid this. one item, you will have a pleasant experience.
Good everything except the ambient noise level.
Overall this is always a great experience. I had the fried oysters and honestly they were a little over done but close to being perfect. My daughter had the fried green tomatoes and as usual loved them. I also had the Ahi Tuna sandwich which I have to say was overwhelmed by the toppings leaving the tuna to be secondary. It was good but I would prefer the tuna to be more present in the flavors. Overall a great experience and good food. One other thing that is probably a personal preference and not an issue on but I had the house salad with the sandwich and it come on the plate with the salad. I just prefer my salad in a bowl. The salad was exceptional in mix and flavor.
The food quality was sub par from our previous visits. They pared down the selection so I had to settle on a hamburger instead of the fish and fries. Meat was tasteless and bland. Even the condiments weren't as good as before. Me daughter's shrimp and grits were spicy and runny. Not very tasty. Definitely not up to their normal standards.
Always excellent food and service. Thank You
The food was excellent and the outdoor ambience was charming, but the service was lackluster. The server's assistant was attentive in his work with refilling drinks and what not, but our actual server was the exact opposite. She brought our wine out nearly twenty minutes after we'd ordered, didn't bring out the complimentary bread to go with our appetizers, and neglected to provide us with a dessert menu (which was a shame, since we were celebrating a birthday). After loudly dropping our own bill onto the table as she walked by, she asked the table beside us if they were ready to pay their bill just as they were finishing their entrees. Humorously, they asked her if she was "trying to get them out of here", to which she stammered an excuse that she wasn't! As stated earlier, Commerce Kitchen provided an excellent meal, but the unenthusiastic service left a bitter aftertaste.
