Although it was Father's Day the service was very attentive. We all liked different foods from the buffet and so were very happy with the experience.
The food and serive was excellent
The buffet was very good especially the prime rib station. The big disappointment was they ran out of a few of the desserts and never replenished them, such as the chocolate chip cookies, butter pound cake, and the strawberry shortcake.
Had a great time at the Inn for Father's Day. Was seated promptly. The waitress came to my table soon after. The buffet was very comprehensive. Thats was a large selection of breakfast and lunch items. The food was very tasty.
Food was fabulous. Atmosphere and service was incredible
What a great spot! I never knew it existed before last week. I drove by and noticed this patio covered in shrubbery and realized it was a restaurant. We made a reservation for Friday at 7pm and found that the place was wide open. Great ambiance, good food and fantastic service. The only thing that was lacking was the wine selection. They do have quite a bit, just not a great selection. Overall a great place. We will be revisiting soon.
Had a great dinner as usual, will always keep coming back.
We came to brunch at Columbus Inn for the first time today. The ambience of the restaurant is solid, old, stable, but uninspiring. The food was decidedly bland (& I am someone who likes things more toward the bland side). The pastries were very dry, as were the waffles. The carving station's roast beef was good, but cold (not cool, cold). The eggs were also exceptionally dry.
Service was under par. The server could have checked back on us more frequently than he did and should have remembered to return our credit card.
Finally, while juices are extra, so is another brunch "staple", milk! Tea and coffee are included, but be aware that if you want regular sugar with it, you will have to deal with sugar "balls" that do not dissolve well.
All in all, their concept is fine, but their execution is definitely lacking.
The place was hopping. The bartender couldn’t keep up with orders and we understand the manager was helping out. It took forever to get our drinks before dinner and we were sitting in the bar! The waitress was great but the service was slow — not due to her I’m saying.
The food was great. One of the best meals I’ve had in a bit.
Always a treat to go there . Worth the trip from Laurel,MD.
Food and atmosphere was amazing and I will look forward to coming back.
Dinner was fantastic and the service was outstanding. The waitress did not rush the meal and was aware we were interested in catching up with our dinner partners. The food was prepares well and the perfect size portions.
Quick service during my lunch break and excellent food!
The food was OK. I thought the beef selections were to few. The service was good but not as timely as I was expecting. The table wobbled and was annoying for that. I was expecting really good and got just OK.
Very noisy on Friday night, slow service and average food
We were very disappointed in Columbus Inn. Our "lunch bunch" group of 8 came on Wednesday and found the food to be subpar (most of us had crabcakes that we thought inedible), and the service to be poor. We go to lunch once a month and have removed Columbus Inn from our list.
Great place for an anniversary celebration. Great menu including options for those that need to be gluten free.
Enjoyed a great Mother's Day Brunch! Even though the dining room was full, we had ample space and did not have to wait in line at the food bars. Highly recommend Columbus Inn!
The only issue that I have is that I reserved outdoor seating and was seated on the inside instead. This is the 2nd time I’ve had an issue with seating. The first review I left was never addressed, so that stinks. Otherwise, the food was awesome and our waitress was the best.
Great food and service. Happy hour drinks and appetizer a value. Our meal was wonderful!
We sat at high top in Bar. It was Friday evening so it was quite energetic. Food was excellent as well as creative. we had one sandwich, poutine (can't find that everywhere) and one pizza along with salad and some apps. Fun, a bit loud, but was a great evening. We love sitting in the bar when it is not too packed.
Excellent evening out with my family. Food was outstanding as was the service. Will definitely go back again.
Mid week outing with visitors from Australia. The menu looked inviting and it was half price wine. The Inn had a nice vibe and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The lamb chops were very tough. When I told the waiter, he suggested a sharper knife. A machete would not have helped. Never again!
Enjoyed dinner with friends on the patio. Very enjoyable! Food was delish! Great attentive service. Will definitely be back!
Early Mother’s Day with Moms and friends
Our dinners were excellent and the service was good.
The martini's were so good that we had another.
Food was Excellant!! Service was outstanding !! Cannot wait to go back again
Portions small for price
Humus plate poorly presented so small on small plate for too much $$
Salad ok extra steak portion small
Always bad service
Other tables were having dinner issues too
Clearly not a well run establishment anymore
Not run by a restaurant group
Everything was great, a little noisy though.
My friend and I ordered the cheese platter for desert. We did get the small size, but still were surprised that there were just three relatively small pieces of cheese. There was plenty of toasted bread, but we didn’t want bread. The cheese seemed overpriced because there was so little. Also we had to wait 15 minutes to get the cheese.
Also, our server was good, but he called us “dear”—I find that offensive.
Overall this meal was amazing. We started with the tuna roll which was fantastic. I had the scallops and my boyfriend had the salmon both were really good! Dessert stole the show. I had the fig panna cotta and my boyfriend had the chocolate cake and they were incredible!
We enjoyed their restaurant week menu. My steak was excellent.
Hello, we had a very nice dinner and appetizers. Afterwards, we enjoyed your espresso martinis, they were so delicious that we had another round. the food was excellent as was the presentation. Good job.
Food was delicious however the service was very very slow. When we sat down initially after waiting 10 mins we inquired as to who our waitress was and a few minutes later our waitress showed up and both the manager and waitress were very apologetic and explained that there was a mixup. We understood and proceeded to order drinks. Our appetizers came pretty quickly and the entries not long after. However once we completed eating our dirty dishes sat on the table without being cleaned for a good 20 minutes. After they were finally cleared, the silver was reset for dessert. After 15 mins of waiting the waitress returned to the table and indicated that our desserts should have been out by now so she would check on them....10 mins later they were served. Unfortunately the poor service clouded the outstanding food.
Went for City Week with my mother. Food was very good. I order the strip steak medium it was a little tough but the flavors were good. I should’ve ordered the scallops they were awesome. I will definitely come again. Service was excellent!
Always superb dinners. Friday night during Wilmington's restaurant week proved to be even more inventive with a fixed price menu that was fabulous and made it difficult to decide what to order. Thanks again.
We visited during restaurant week and were very surprised at the size of the portions for the restaurant week special meal. The food was delicious.
Food, wine, service, and ambiance were wonderful - thank you!
I respect the establishment for the decision to not downsize dished just because it was restaurant week. The same creativity and excellent execution was the standard throughout the meal. I appreciated this and have been there before and will continue to go there and recommend it to others.
